Conflict communication issues in Ukraine's communication education: a gender perspective

Numerous social sciences and humanities disciplines have studied the ubiquitous phenomena of communication. Conflict communication has long been differentiated in the framework of communication science. However, the gender component of the language struggle in Ukrainian studies has not been resolved, and scholars still find it to be quite pertinent and in-demand. In our work, we place emphasis on the requirement for a thorough investigation of the gender linguistic conflict within the context of developing a communicative culture in Ukraine. In the first and second levels of higher education, we focus on the development of communicative ability as we analyze the state standards for higher education in specialty 035 "Philology." We contend that the communicative competency framework does not take the speaker's gender identification into consideration. Conflicts between a man and a woman may lead to this. As a result, the author discusses the value of gender competency in communication. The curriculum that teaches conflict communication to graduate students and enables for describing gender conflict from many angles is also examined in the essay (national linguistic representation, space-time parameters, social characteristics, age, etc.).Numerous social sciences and humanities disciplines have studied the ubiquitous phenomena of communication. Entrepreneurship education (EE) is frequently recognized as one of the most significant components of a policy that encourages small company and self-employment, as well as the formation of start-ups and innovative business ventures. The incorporation of EE into the professional training system at a new stage in society's development could considerably boost the possibility of using universities in the process of economic growth. The essay discusses the nature and characteristics of EE, as well as the potential and challenges of integrating it with other areas of training. The study shows promising opportunities for incorporating EE into higher education training programs. EE must center on some crucial aspects of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs themselves. Implementing EE in the curriculum and extra-curricular activities at Ukrainian higher education institutions, combining theoretical, problem- and project-oriented learning with immersion in practical activities concerned with business planning, creation, and operation, and training students in groups alongside aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs, would be extremely useful and productive in terms of motivating more and more young people to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. The implementation of EE will help to build more resilient and competitive local communities, as well as a more inclusive, just, equal, and pleasant society.Entrepreneurship education (EE) is frequently recognized as one of the most significant components of a policy that encourages small company and self-employment, as well as the formation of start-ups and innovative business ventures. Full text link
The aim of the research was to identify and examine the characteristics of the impact of four question types and their combination in polymorphism tests on the testing output indicators for secondary school students. Students in the 8th and 9th grades (N=164) participated in the study that was done in the field of studying the native (Ukrainian) language. It was possible to demonstrate the existence of the effect of factor "question form" on the test scores (impact power is up to 35%) and to identify the combination of question forms that is characterized by the highest diagnostic accuracy thanks to the tools (criterion-oriented author's tests, questionnaire), and methods of results' analysis (factor analysis, dispersion analysis, etc.) used in the research process. According to research findings, creating a polymorphic linguistic test is advised. If there is an even distribution of these questions throughout the test, the use of multiple-choice questions with one correct answer combined with text and constructed-response questions can guarantee the clarity of test output indicators (with the least impact of question formats on them). The study's drawbacks are identified, and the likelihood that they will be addressed by further research on the most effective test framework for empirical validity is supported. The aim of the research was to identify and examine the characteristics of the impact of four question types and their combination in polymorphism tests on the testing output indicators for secondary school students. Anxiety is a public phenomenon that constitutes a public source of inadequate performance globally and plays a significant role in their lives. Engineering students and academics have been through immense changes in education because of the effect of the COVID-19 crisis. It is well-known that epidemics' occurrence creates or accentuates new stressors, including panic and fears for loved ones or oneself, constraints on social activities and physical movement due to quarantine, and unforeseen and radical change of lifestyle. This study aimed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown policy on engineering students’ anxiety in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria. The study confirmed that the students had an increase in the anxiety level, in which the female student had a higher level of anxiety than the male students. The highest contributing factors to the anxiety include "worries about academic delays/extension of the academic calendar," "worries about a delay in life plans as a result of the suspension of school," and "worries about running out of supplies." The main areas that anxiety impacted the lives of the students include "a decline in book reading /studies/academics," "finding it hard to focus," "being unable to hang out with friends," and "difficulties in falling asleep." Finally, the students managed the level of anxiety mainly by "the use of internet/social media/chatting," "prayer/self-motivation/meditation/reflection," and "watching movies/TV/music."

In a world that is becoming more globalized, learning a language is a crucial component of developing one's consciousness and their capacity for social mobility. Changes in the definition of the degree of foreign language proficiency, new definitions of the selection of content and organization of resources, and the employment of appropriate forms and methods of control are all necessary in response to new realities. In light of Common-European polymeric trends, our state's integration into the European educational space, the proliferation of student exchange practices, and the accessibility of our nation's educational system to international students, multilingual education on the principle of Ukrainian + foreign is of particular relevance. The expansion of foreign language learning is consistent with European directives, which advise that Member States teach two more EU languages in addition to their national tongue in educational institutions. The issue of linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe can be adequately addressed through multilingual education in Ukraine. The consideration of regional demands of local ethnic populations, national features, and Common European trends is a crucial aspect of multilingual education in Ukraine. In a world that is becoming more globalized, learning a language is a crucial component of developing one's consciousness and their capacity for social mobility. Full text link
The article's primary objective is to provide the first comprehensive retrospective examination of Canadian media education history. The authors support the periodization, identify the trends, the periodization criteria, and the three main periods of establishment and development of Canadian media education in the context of socio-political and sociopedagogical determinants based on the theoretical findings of Canadian media educators. The historical foundations for Canada's development of media education are made clear. According to pedagogical theory and practice, the core of media education is the study of theory and the development of practical skills for mastering contemporary mass media. This knowledge is seen as belonging to a distinct, independent field of knowledge. The authors conclude that media education is connected to all forms of media, including the collection of information and communication tools that each person uses on a daily basis: printed media (newspapers, magazines), auditory media (radio, audio), and screen media (movies, television, video, multimedia, the Internet, etc.); they also define the fundamental elements of media education and conclude that it is a subset of media literacy and media culture. The article describes the evolution of media education associations, approaches, and programs. It has been proven necessary to use positive Canadian experience to address issues with implementing media education in Ukraine in order to improve and humanize that country's educational system in the framework of studying the experience of Canadian media theorists and practitioners

The importance of the educational environment in personal growth, education, and building is realized via the analysis of scientific resources. One of the most crucial elements of such processes, according to some, is the educational environment. The terms "educational environment" and "educational environment of institution of higher education" are defined by the author. The writers promote the idea that the educational setting is a network of resources for individual education. The environmental approach to education, which aims to create and develop an educational environment that must fulfill a student's educational needs, is changing the emphasis on teaching, it is highlighted. The author's method of assessing the quality of the educational environment at a higher education institution is supported and approved, and the rating scale for this method is introduced. The method recommends doing a professional assessment of the learning environment of a higher education institution using qualitative (modality) and quantitative (professional breadth, professional saturation, sociocultural intensity, congruence, openness, mobility, informativeness) factors. A higher education institution's typology of the educational environment is offered (innovative-professional, formal-professional, pragmatically-oriented, formal general cultural educational environment). The analysis and explanation of the experiment's findings at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University's University College are provided. Three expert groups, which included student, teacher, and parent representatives, evaluated the college's educational setting. Even while assessments made by several expert groups are comparable, it becomes clear that there are important disparities, which has been demonstrated with the help of the right statistical techniques. It has been concluded that there is tremendous potential for the validation of the entire monitoring system of the educational environment of institution of higher education and associated diagnostic instruments. The importance of the educational environment in personal growth, education, and building is realized via the analysis of scientific resources. To identify the needs of modern recruiting and determine the features of staff selection and evaluation using psychological testing, was conducted an analysis of existing developments and systems that are used in the modern recruitment process. The problems that HR managers have when testing a candidate and the company's staff are identified, and the disadvantages of modern recruiting systems are highlighted. According to the detailed structure of the personality and the structure of the psychological portrait, the main features of the candidate's personality were identified and selected methods that can be used for testing. A web-based system "KnitTe" for HR managers was developed, which allows clients to expand the functionality of their CRM systems (initial stage integration with Odoo CRM modules) and helps in making a decision about the suitability of a candidate for a specific position in terms of their psychological personality traits, as well as their psychological compatibility with other team members. The overall structure of the web system allows the client to get data from the CRM system, use built-in psychological tests, and get results. The "KnitTe" web-system uses reliable, valid and verified psychological methods, builds a psychological portrait of the candidate, checks the candidate's compliance with the chosen position, and analyzes the candidate's compatibility with the team.Для виявлення потреб сучасного рекрутингу та визначення особливостей підбору персоналу та його оцінки з використанням психологічного тестування у статті було проведено аналіз існуючих програмних розробок та систем, які використовуюся в сучасному процесі рекрутингу.
