Sciences politiques de Sousse (F.D.S.P.S.) en Tunisie et l’Université Sorbonne Paris-Nord

Christian professional formation at Uganda Christian University : a reflection
Full text linkChristian Professional Formation has been the hallmark of Uganda Christian University. Established by the Church of Uganda in 1997, the University has championed an explicitly Christian-based form of education. It has thereby distinguished itself as a University whose model of professional formation seeks to balance professional and Christian character formation. At its establishment, the University drew on the rich dual heritage of the Christian education, on the one hand, and on the American tradition of higher education, on the other. From these it furthered the motif of integration of faith in learning and service.
The book tells the story of Uganda Christian University against the backdrop of the Church of Uganda’s use of education as mission. By so doing it shows how the founding fathers have taken the two traditions to enable the Church of Uganda to faithfully uphold its calling to education as mission. It draws on the tradition of virtue ethics, sociology of education and Christian worldview studies

Full text linkHumanity and planet, we are beings linked par excellence. Accordingly, the
understanding and action that we have in favor of their continuous and positive
interaction, will attribute to each species tools to promote itself and the
others.
So that, the fight for the common good, it leads us to think about the
procedure of a world ethic based on the planetary or global experience of
the care and preservation of human life and the world. We are not alone; we
need a fraternal conception. We need training proposals that configure the
importance of living human rights and duties, but also the ecological-planetary
ones. Therefore, promoting spirituality from the experience of tools such
as compassion, justice, forgiveness, encounter, cooperation, and restoration,
will give rise to conceiving a planetary pedagogy that favor the teaching and
learning processes between people and planet earth. It is then, that think an
ethic that promotes otherness, from the synergies that are favored from the
interdisciplinarity becomes an answer in the transformation of the future that
is already coming

Full text linkOriginally published in French:Les nouvelles frontières de l’intégrité académique, Editions EMS, Caen, 2023 (collection "Questions de société").This book extends and completes the construction of the sciences of integrity begun in 2021, and continued at the 2nd IRAFPA International Colloquium in Coimbra, Portugal, 16-18 June 2022. Eleven most accomplished contributions attempt to answer the question of what these new frontiers of integrity are in a changing academic world.
If we were to define a unity of tone between them, it would be that of frankness; a unity of analysis, that of rigour; a unity of vision, that of academic rigour; and a unity of character, that of lucid optimism. It is this optimism that allows us to believe that the integrity sciences movement, capable of addressing the personal, relational and systemic levels, is well and truly underway.
The ground assumption of the editors is that multidisciplinarity is central and necessary. It is mainly through multidisciplinarity that intellectual propositions can be fully validated, through the subtle variations of disciplinary perspectives and levels of analysis. In order to ethically remain in our own zone of discomfort, we all need this cross-validation, which ensures that everyone,author and reader alike come to a same ground of understanding
