It comes from two Greek words: YATROS which means DOCTOR, and GUENNAN, which means PRODUCE; that is, produced for the doctor or medicines. We would complement the concept as PROCEDURES OR ATTITUDES PRODUCED BY THE DOCTOR OR MEDICATIONS WITH HARMFUL REPERCUSSIONS FOR THE PATIENT.Es necesario establecer, aunque brevemente, el verdadero significado de la palabra yatrogenia. Proviene de dos vocablos griegos: YATROS que significa DE MEDICO, y GUENNAN, que significa PRODUCIR; es decir, producido para el médico o los medicamentos. Nosotros complementaríamos el concepto como PROCEDIMIENTOS O ACTITUDES PRODUCIDAS POR EL MEDICO O LOS MEDICAMEN- TOS CON REPERCUSIONES NOCIVAS PARA EL PACIENTE.

No full textLiaison Psychiatry, an updated term as a modern and social-scientific conceptualization of Medicine; which indicates the intimate relationship that exists and must exist with the other areas of Medical Science, in which the Psychiatrist is linked and is fully accepted by the other areas. And with this, greater coverage by the Psychiatrist in a General Hospital, giving timely attention to Interconsultations; At the IESS Regional Hospital, the Ligature-Link was optimized around the year 1981, when the Psychiatric Hospitalization Unit was created, thus complementing the Psychiatry Service of this Hospital. That we objectify it, when analyzing the statistical table of Interconsultations attended; those coming from the other Hospitalization areas, those from other Outpatient Clinics and other Units of the Institute, in addition to other Provinces including Agricultural and Peasant Insurance, which I will explain later.La Psiquiatría de Enlace, término actualizado como conceptualización moderna y social-científica de la Medicina; que indica la íntima relación existente y que debe existir con las otras áreas de la Ciencia Médica, en que el Psiquiatra se liga y se hace aceptar íntegramente por las otras áreas. Y con ello la mayor cobertura por parte del Psiquiatra en un Hospital General, dando atención oportuna a las Interconsultas; en el Hospital Regional del IESS se optimiza la Ligadura-Enlace hacia el año 1981 en que se crea la Unidad de Hospitalización Psiquiátrica, complementándose así el Servicio de Psiquiatría de este Hospital.
