An Innovative Solution of Prolonged Part Problem in Skew Correction Process for Online Handwritten Words

    No full text
Handwriting is one of the easiest ways to save any record offline and also online without making use of keyboard. People can write any text using his/her own handwriting with own language, own style or font. Analysis and recognition of handwriting especially online handwriting is one of the most interesting research areas nowadays. Online handwriting recognition process contains many pre-processing steps. Skew detection correction is one of the most important pre-processing step by which a handwritten word can be skew corrected. There are few existing algorithms of skew detection and correction for offline and online handwritten word but most of them face problem while a word consist some prolonged part in it. Here we have proposed a new technique by which any handwritten can be skew corrected with a great solution of prolonged part of words. This process works based on the total height and total width of the word. The particular angle where the height of a word becomes minimum and width becomes maximum, we can consider that particular angle as an approximate skew angle but not exact skew angle. After finding the approximate skew angle we consider only busy zone of the word, where maximum number of pixels are available so that prolonged part can be avoided. After considering only busy zone of the word we have calculated the skew angle using same process which is based on height and width of the handwritten word. The skew value is considered as zero on that particular angle, where the height is minimum and width is maximum at second iteration. We have tested this proposed technique on 4000 Bengali handwritten word and have achieved an outstanding result of 97 percentage of accuracy

    Get PDF
Large amount of digital data is generated rapidly all around the corners. Providing security to digital data is the crucial issue in almost all types of organizations. According to the Identity Theft Resource Center, there were 8,069 data breaches between January 2005 and November 2017, and in recent years the number of data breaches and compromised records has skyrocketed [1]. To provide protection to the digital sensitive data, from data breaches in the need of hour. Almost all domains like insurance, banking, health care, and educational and many more are concern about security of sensitive data. Data masking is one of the vital discussions everywhere as data breach leads to threats. Masking is a philosophy or new way of thinking about safeguarding sensitive data in such a way that accessible and usable data is still available for non- production environment. In this research paper authors proposed a dynamic data masking model to protect sensitive data using random deterministic masking algorithm with shift left approach. This paper describes methodology & experimental design and results

On the dynamics of ECL inverter based Ring Oscillators

    Get PDF
The effect of electrical variations in free running frequency and in the dynamics of BJT based Ring Oscillator (RO) have been thoroughly examined in this paper. Techniques of electronic frequency tuning of an emitter coupled inverter based RO have been experimentally studied. The oscillation frequency of the RO depends on the dc reference voltage and the dc bias current. An analytical explanation of the observed results has been incorporated in this paper. The dynamics of the said hardware experimental circuit also have been scrupulously examined. It is observed that a periodic oscillation starts for a given reference voltage and gradual variations of the reference voltage in this region give rise to different multi periodic and chaotic oscillations. A higher order nonlinear mathematical model of the RO circuit has been proposed and the system has been numerically studied. The numerical simulations results support the experimental observations

Performance Evaluation of Manhattan Mobility Model in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks

    Get PDF
Mobility model is the foundation of the simulation study of various routing protocols in Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET). A Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a continuously self-configuring network without infrastructure, where every node functions as a transmitter, router, and data sink. A high mobility of MANET nodes reduces the reliability of network communication. In dynamic networks, high mobility of the nodes makes it very difficult to predict the dynamic network topology and hence route/link failures. NS2 network simulator is used to implement MANET by using Destination-Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV), Ad Hoc Demand Vector (AODV), and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) by using mobility generator tool, Bonnmotion-3.0.1 in this paper. This paper compares mobility model on AODV, DSDV, and DSR routing protocols with QoS performance metrics throughput, packet delivery ratio, end to end delay, packet overhead and packet dropping rate

Cloud computing refers delivery of computing services such as servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics and so on. The several organizations providing these computing services are called cloud providers and typically charge for cloud computing services based on usage. The National Institute of Standards and Technology defines cloud computing by five essential characteristics, three service models, and four deployment models. The essential characteristics are on-demand self-service location-independent resource pooling, broad network access, rapid resource elasticity, and measured service. The main three service models are software as service, platform as a service, and infrastructure as a service. The aim of this survey is to improve the data security and data confidentiality through rectifying the problem in cloud computing environment

Design of Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) and Study of Ground Plane Effects on its Performance

    Get PDF
The design of miniaturized antenna plays a very important role in development of portable communication systems. The resonance frequency, bandwidth and gain of an antenna directly depend on its dimensions. The idea is to find best geometry and structure. The planar inverted F antenna is very popular for such portable wireless devices because of its compact size and low profile. In this paper, four designs of planar inverted F antenna (PIFA) with a small square shape radiating element has been introduced to work between 1.67 GHz to 1.8 GHz for UAV, DCS and GSM applications. These antennas are low cost simple in design and easy to fabricate. The bandwidth provided by the PIFA is wide as compared to a conventional micro strip patch antenna of half wavelength. The dimensions of antenna have been optimized to have a wide bandwidth (9.47 %) with air as dielectric used in this design. The effect of different ground plane sizes has been analyzed. The results will be very useful in the design of PIFA for applications requiring a small ground plane. Simulated and measured results are presented for smallest structure
