Open Source Technology : Design Principles, Methodology and Applications - A Literature Review
Closed source has a great significance in monopoly of software industries. Software users have been witnessing this monopoly of various software companies for the past many years. As an alternative to these closed sources, the concept of Open Source is originated. The term Open Source, literally means a consortium of like-minded individuals or corporations who try to come up with products/services that conforms to standards to one specific vertical sector of software industry. In this paper, the major focus is given on various open source technology concepts, development methodology and its significance along with various categories of open source applications
A Review on Audio Video Stegnography
Security is most important issue in digital communication. Data security means protective digital privacy measures that are applied to prevent unauthorized access to computers, huge databases and online data it is also protects data from corruption. Security is most important issue in digital communication. Cryptography and steganography are two popular methods available to provide security. Steganography focuses on hiding information in such a way that the message is undetectable for outsiders and only appears to the sender and intended recipient. It is useful tool that allows covert transmission of information over and over communications channel. Steganography is a technique which is used to hide the message and prevent the detection of hidden message. Various modern techniques of steganography are: a) Video Steganography b)Audio Steganography Audio Video steganography is a modern steganography of hiding information in a way that the unwanted people may not access the information
Comparative Analysis of Iris Segmentation and Iris Feature Extraction Techniques
Iris recognition is identification and verification of an individual based on their respective unique iris patterns. This system is preferred because it is stable: Iris of an individual does not change by the passing of time; Unique: Each person has a different Iris pattern; Flexible: it can easily be incorporated into security systems; Reliable: No theft because people cant create an iris of another person; In our survey project the processes of Iris segmentation and Feature Extraction have been studied in depth. In this survey paper the various techniques that are used in Iris segmentation and Feature extraction processes are compared and analysed and a conclusion is drawn from them
Cross Layer Design to Reduce the Latency for Effective Scheduling Technique for Mobile Ad hoc Networks
Wireless Mesh Networking (WMN) technology provides a key revolutionary to the future backbone network access. WMN adopt a multihop based transmission to improve end to end data delivery. The 802.11s MAC (Medium Access Control) is designed using CSMA (Carrier Sense Medium Access) protocol which result in collision of slot due to failure in detecting hidden node in WMN. Various methodologies have been developed to optimize the MAC and hidden node and exposed node detection algorithm in recent time to utilize slot efficiently and reduce latency. Slot reutilization is an effective way in reducing latency but due to improper detection of hidden node of existing algorithm the latency is increased. To overcome this, our work propose an efficient device classification based MAC scheduler by adopting a cross layer design to reduce the latency. The experiment are conducted by varying network size and density and the outcome shows that the proposed approach perform better than existing CSMA/OCA in term of latency
Radiation and Chemical Reaction Effects on MHD Flow of Continuously Moving Vertical Surface with Heat and Mass Transfer through Porous Medium with Ohmic Heating
The aim of the present chapter is radiation and viscous dissipation effect to MHD flow with heat and mass transfer from a vertical surface in presence of Ohmic heating, chemical reaction and viscous dissipation has been presented. The governing equations of the momentum, thermal and concentration fields are solved by perturbation technique. The velocity, temperature, concentration and skin friction have been evaluated for variation in the different governing parameters by graphically
Automated Accidental Precautions in Public Transportation Management System
This paper aims at different types of transportation problems by presenting a proper management process to improve the public transportation management system. In modern era, the accidents and the indifference makes the major death rate, this is because of the lagging of immediate precautionary actions. In order to decrease the death rate and also to improve the immediate measures for the effect is proposed by using the method of IoT. In this system, every bus contains GPS to track the bus if it met with an accident, crash sensor and pressure sensor is also used to check whether the bus dashed with other vehicles or not and piezo sensor is to check if the bus roll down due to any mechanical failures. The level of accident at the hazardous weather that is, the wind flow at hills station makes an unstable condition for the transportation system. Basically, in hill areas the wind flowin every day is unpredictable one and a challengeable one. To avoid those risky factors, we implemented cruise control which accommodate the speed limit of the vehicles according to the pre-moving vehicles
Power Allocation Strategies for Wireless Relay Networks with Analog Network Coding: Survey
Relay aided communication with network coding can bring spectacular performance enhancements for wireless networks. The proper design of power allocated to each of the nodes involved in the communication is essential as it has impact on the performance when Analog Network coding (ANC) is used. This paper presents a survey on recent power allocation strategies, intended objectives, practical constraints that have been considered, and corresponding performances for networks with ANC protocol
