Perforated Dielectric Lens Antenna Design
In this paper, a dielectric lens in a three dimensional structure with a matching layer on a planar antenna platform was added to work on a high gain antenna. It has been shown that the antenna with the same parameters can be designed by reducing the cost of production by using the perforated dielectric lens method which can be used equivalent to the dielectric lens used. Due to the high production difficulties and high cost of lens antenna structures, alternative methods have been studied and successful results have been obtained by using a method with scientific innovation value.This work was supported by Research Fund of the Yildiz Technical University. Growth and Structural Characterization of Semiconducting Tin Telluride Thin Films by Novel Rapid Thermal Annealing Technique
Tin Telluride is a representative IV-VI compound semiconductor of narrow band gap with potential use in IR detector. Thin films of SnTe were grown by a novel, cost effective rapid thermal annealing (RTA) technique. For this, elemental layers of Sn and Te were deposited on a quartz substrate and then subjected to rapid thermal annealing at optimized temperature and duration. The required experimental set up was designed and fabricated. Formation of single phase formation of SnTe was confirmed from X-ray diffraction technique. The crystalline size were calculated. The duration and temperature of annealing were optimized. Further, the required excess Te composition for single phase stoichiometric SnTe film was also optimized. It has been shown that thin films of single phase SnTe can be grown by rapid thermal annealing
Performance Comparison of MADM Algorithms for Network Selection in Heterogeneous Networks
Vertical handover is a need of present era of heterogeneous networks comprising different network technologies. Lot of quality of service (QoS) parameters, user�s preferences, network conditions and other parameters participate in selection of appropriate network among available networks. This multi- criteria nature of vertical handover verifiesapplicability of multiple attribute decision making (MADM) algorithms to be used for network selection in heterogeneous networks. In this work, six MADM algorithms SAW, MEW, TOPSIS, GRA, AHP and VIKOR have been implemented. Performance of these algorithms has beenanalyzed for handover latency,number of handovers and optimum network selection. It was concluded that VIKOR algorithm is able to provide compromised solution in the light of these parameters

Enhanced EQSR based QoS Mechanism for Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor networks are widely used in real-time applications. Due to the resource limited nature of sensor networks providing Quality of Service (QoS) is quiet interesting and challenging task for the researchers in recent years. The QoS based schemes require to cope up with the energy constrained smaller devices. Therefore, allowing QoS applications in sensor networks mandate it to implement in separate layers. In this work an enhanced version of Energy Efficient Quality of Service Routing (EQSR) is offered. The enhanced EQSR maximizes the task of the application in mixed delay sensitive and delay tolerant applications. The scheme balances the energy by distributing the traffic in a disperse manner that guaranties the delay sensitive packets to be forwarded on time within the tolerable delay. By conducting simulations with varying scenarios the performance of the protocol is evaluated and compared with the base EQSR. The simulation results have proven that the enhanced EQSR works better by lowering the energy and increasing the packet delivery ratio
Implementation of Real-time Face Recognition System based on SURF Algorithm
Main objective of this paper is to represent an approach for recognized faces of human being based on SURF algorithm. This approach concerned with registering a set of human faces to a face database, matching stored faces against real time faces . Matlab programming is implemented for this approach.
