    Get PDF
Cloud computing is an assimilation and on demand delivery of various information technology resources and services. The process is built to initiate real-time actions and responses for the enormous multi-dimensional data generated by websites, devices, applications and other sources. The cloud computing provides cost saving, flexibility, mobility to the clients along with disaster recovery and loss prevention providing sustainability and competitive edge without letting them to shell out for the requisite infrastructure, installation and manpower to achieve and maintain such hi-tech infrastructure. Maximizing the quality and quantity of service and resources besides limiting the infrastructural cost are important necessities for this technology. Cloud computing has transformed the way many organizations use and share data and applications over Internet by efficient distribution and utilization of their resources and services. With so much data going into the cloud, particularly into public cloud services, these resources have become susceptible to various security threats and challenges. In this paper we have discussed some of the critical security concerns that prevent the adoptability of cloud computing

    Get PDF
Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) arespecial type of Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs). It is an effective new technology to forward packets or sharing messages between vehicles (V2V) or vehicle to infrastructure (V2I). VANETs are considered as one of the most emerging technologies for enhancing the efficiency and the safety applications of transportation systems. The main use of VANET is to exchange traffic related information between the vehicles and prevention of accidents in transportation system. In VANETs vehicles move with the high mobility so it can be considered as the major concern. The challenge in VANETs applications is to send the Emergency Message (EM) to all the vehicles which are available in the communication range. But, because of the wireless communication medium, sharing of the packets and broadcasting of traffic information may lead to frequent altercation and collision, this problem called "broadcast overhead problem". In this paper, a QoS driven protocol is proposed to utilize the network bandwidth efficiently by reducing the broadcast overhead and forwarding the urgent or emergency messages first compared to other messages. This new protocol first finds the Minimum Connected Dominating Set of Vehicle (MCDSV) to reduce the broadcast overhead and the MCDSV acts as a virtual backbone for communication within the Network. After finding the MCDSV, we use the concept of a priority Queue for emergency broadcast scheme (VDEB) to resolve the issue of high overhead in senderoriented schemes and long delay in receiveroriented schemes. For the safety applications the broadcast protocol has to guarantee the performance and the reliability context. This combined method of Minimum Connected Dominating Set and Priority Queue demonstrate the good performances and the robustness of such protocol compared to other Routing protocols

In this revolutionary world mobile devices are very important for human being. Without mobile no one can fulfill their daily routines. For this scenario we study mobile ad-hoc network (MANET). In MANET mobile nodes communicate with each other using some wireless links without any infrastructure. Many routing protocols are needed for communication in such a network. There are many performance metrics to compare Ad hoc routing protocols. In this paper, there is comparison between two protocols AODV and AODVE (AODV with energy). In which average delay, packet delivery ratio, throughput measured respectively. This paper also provides a way that how to carry out such a comparative study, which could be used for future research

Approximation Algorithmic Performance for CEDS in Wireless Network

    Get PDF
A well-organized design of routing protocols in wireless networks, the connected dominating set (CDS) is widely used as a virtual backbone. To construct the CDS with its size as minimum, many heuristic, meta-heuristic, greedy, approximation and distributed algorithmic approaches have been anticipated. These approaches are concentrated on deriving independent set and then constructing the CDS using UDG, Steiner tree and these algorithms perform well only for the graphs having smaller number of nodes. For the networks that are generated in a fixed simulation area. This paper provides a novel approach for constructing the CDS, based on the concept of total edge dominating set. Since the total dominating set is the best lower bound for the CDS, the proposed approach reduces the computational complexity to construct the CDS through the number of iterations. The conducted simulation reveals that the proposed approach finds better solution than the recently developed approaches when important factors of network such as transmission radio range and area of network density varies

In cities like Nagpur, Pune and Mumbai the busses are the nerves of the city. But they are behaving as an open invitation for evil minds to do mishaps as there is no maintenance of data of passenger. The tickets cost being of odd amounts and many other different problems while buying tickets. Also in this advance world we are dependent on the paper tickets and we even cannot book the ticket in advance doesnt seems fare so here is a solution. In this proposed system ticket can be bought with just a smart phone application and, where users or passengers can issue ticket pass and carry pass tickets in his smart phone as a QR (Quick Response) code. The bus passes generating system using QR code can be brought easily any time anywhere and the ticket will be present in the passenger phone in the form of QR. Also the ticket checker is provided with a checker application to search and check for the user's ticket for checking purposes

With the internet getting so popular data sharing and security of personal data has gain much more importance than before. Cloud provides and efficient way to outsource the data either online or offline but data security becomes one of the major issues in unreliable cloud environment. The proposed system addresses the security issues in cloud environment and also provides a way to provide better security and load balancing in cloud environment. The proposed system uses cryptographic symmetric algorithm AES with key size of 256 for data encryption and Ultra Zip compression which provides a compression ratio up to 50% depending on the file type. After encryption and compression the data is splitted into multiple parts and each part is stored in separate data server. The proposed work can be used in many different application like social networking sites and file hosting websites

A Systematic Review on Stopword Removal Algorithms

    Get PDF
Stopwords, also known as noise words, are the words that contain a little information which is not usually required. Stopwords were discovered by H.P. Luhn in 1958. In the domain of information retrieval, an effective indexing can be achieved by removing the stopwords. Indexing is a technique of connecting or tagging documents with different search terms or criteria. The main motive behind the elimination of stopwords is to increase the execution speed and the accuracy. It not only decreases the vector space but also helps to improve overall performance. It also helps in reducing the size of text. Till now, techniques for automatic stopwords removal have been developed for languages such as English, Sanskrit, Arabic, Chinese, etc. In this paper, we discuss the different techniques which have been used by the researchers to construct automated stopword lists in different languages

With numerous benefits of cloud storage such as cost savings, accessibility, scalability etc., users around the world tend to shift their invaluable data to cloud storage. As the data generation rates are increasing, it is a tedious task for cloud storage providers to provide efficient storage. Cloud storage providers uses different techniques to improve storage efficiency and one of leading technique employed by them is de-duplication, which claims to be saving 90 to 95% of storage,. So now days the data de-duplication has been broadly used in the cloud storage providers. As if the data is being deploy to the cloud servers than the data is not in the reach of owner security premises and everyone want to outsource that data in the encryption form

In modern days many people have fish as their pets in home. Everyone loves fishes and required aquarium for their home. But maintaining aquarium is difficult task. We need to change water time by time, feed fishes time to time. Again it is difficult to check the conditions of an aquarium manually. Therefore it important to automate aquariums. Here we have implement an IOT based system which monitor and control the whole aquarium automatically and provide real time status on users Smartphone application. It contains water quality management in which It will monitor the physical changes in the water and will maintain it to the ideal conditions, with required changes. The aquarium will perform all the steps automatically like temperature control, turbidity level control, light monitor, feeding, water renewal etc. It will reduce the manual effort required in maintenance of aquariums by automating the aquarium management process. also automatic food feeding system operated by servo motor mechanism which used to feed fishes on regular time intervals. Dead fish mechanism is there which will detect the dead fish. In addition camera is connected to aquarium system using which user can see live operation occurring in system with the help of smart phone. The aim of our project is to replace manual maintenance of fish aquarium with an Automated system by using IOT
