    Get PDF
Smart city is a booming phenomenon in the 21st century with Open data initiatives increasingly becoming part of elements considered in emergence of this cities. Data plays an important role in enhancing informed decision making in real time. Availability of different open data tales is an added advantage. This paper analyses data initiatives from countries that are in the process of developing smart cities namely Kenya and India. Although their geographical boundaries vary in priorities of respective governments in development plans. We consider China, India and Africa, where smart city initiatives are promoted as a way of enabling modernization and national development, responding to population growth/migration, and managing economic and urban transitions. The study sought to identify how the open data initiatives available in this respective countries and they are similar to the conceptual framework of smart cities also to identify how they will shape development of different smart cities. This findings show the necessity of open data initiatives on emergence of smart cities

Novel Approach using Robust Routing Protocol in Underwater Acoustic Wireless Sensor Network with Network Simulator 2: A Review

    Get PDF
In recent year wireless sensor network has been an emerging technology and promising technology in unveiling the riddle of the marine life and other underwater applications. As it is a permutation of computation, sensing and communication. In the 70% of the earth a huge amount of unexploited resources lies covered by oceans. To coordinate interact and share information among themselves to carry out sensing and monitoring function underwater sensor network consists number of various sensors and autonomous underwater vehicles deployed underwater. The two most fundamental problems in underwater sensor network are sensing coverage and network connectivity. The coverage problem reflects how well a sensor network is tracked or monitored by sensors. An underwater wireless sensor networks is the emerging field that is having the challenges in each field such as the deployment of nodes, routing, floating movement of sensors etc. This paper is concerned about the underwater acoustic wireless sensor network of routing protocol applications and UW-ASNs deployments for monitoring and control of underwater domains

A Hybrid Machine Learning Approach for Breast Cancer Detection

    Get PDF
Now a day, cancer is one of most common and internecine disease among all disease present in the world. A cancer disease is classified into different types based on the body location like breast cancer, kidney cancer, liver cancer etc. but breast cancer is one of the most common cancer in woman and 8% of woman were diagnosed breast cancer in 2016. It is found that if the cancer is diagnosed in the early stage than the probability of the survival is higher. Now a day, Machine learning play a vital role in order to detect cancer in the early stage. Lots of work has been done previously which uses machine learning approach like support vector machine, Naïve Bayes, logistic regression etc. In this paper w proposed hybrid approach for detecting cancer in the early stage. This hybrid approach is the combination of Support vector machine and Naïve Bayes approach. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach uses Wisconsin Breast Cancer (WBC) which is downloaded from the UCI machine learning repository. Performance of the proposed approach is measured in term of accuracy, F- value. Experiment results shows that proposed approach gives better result as compare to the competitive approach

A Review on Encryption and Decryption of Image using Canonical Transforms & Scrambling Technique

    Get PDF
Data security is a prime objective of various researchers & organizations. Because we have to send the data from one end to another end so it is very much important for the sender that the information will reach to the authorized receiver & with minimum loss in the original data. Data security is required in various fields like banking, defence, medical etc. So our objective here is that how to secure the data. So for this purpose we have to use encryption schemes. Encryption is basically used to secure the data or information which we have to transmit or to store. Various methods for the encryption are provided by various researchers. Some of the methods are based on the random keys & some are based on the scrambling scheme. Chaotic map, logistic map, Fourier transform & Fractional Fourier transform etc. are widely used for the encryption process. Now day’s image encryption method is very popular for the encryption scheme. The information is encrypted in the form of image. The encryption is done in a format so no one can read that image. Only the person who are authenticated or have authentication keys can only read that data or information. So this work is based on the same fundamental concept. Here we use Linear Canonical Transform for the encryption process

Performance Analysis of Flattened Dispersion on Silica based PCF of Hybrid Hexagonal Lattice

    Get PDF
The technology of optical fibers has improved dramatically in recent decades. While the basic principle of guiding light, total-internal reflection, has been known for a long time, the ability to manufacture materials such as silica into very pure, very small, and very long strands has only recently emerged. Researcher across the world is starting to investigate a new kind of optical guidance. In this work, I focused on understanding and analyzing the model behavior of micro-structured fiber. Micro-structured fibers are fibers with a complex dielectric topology, and offer a number of novel possibilities, compared to standard optical fiber. It has been reported that PCF can realize endlessly single-mode guiding, controllable nonlinearity, flexible chromatic dispersion over a wide wavelength range, large effective area and highly birefringence. Generally, PCFs can be classified into two different types by their light-guiding mechanism

Triple Connected Domination Number of Graph

    Get PDF
The concept of triple connected graphs with real life application was prefaced by considering the existence of a path containing any three vertices of a graph G. In this paper, we introduce a new domination parameter, called triple connected domination number of a graph. A subset S of V of a nontrivial graph G is said to be triple connected dominating set, if S is a dominating set and the induced sub graph is triple connected. The minimum cardinality undertake all triple connected dominating sets. Then which is called the triple connected domination number and is denoted by ?tc

Implementation of GPSR Routing Protocol in VANET for Analyzing Black Hole Attack Using CBR/UDP Traffic Pattern With Security Algorithm

    Get PDF
In implementing VANET security is one of biggest challenges due to dynamic topology. There are possibilities of active and passive attack in network to alter the authentic data. With pace of time tremendous development occurred in the field of VANET. Security is one of biggest challenges which need to handle effectively in adhoc network. In VANET nodes are mobiles and therefore they continuously change their respective location therefore due to dynamic topology, network becomes prone to attack. With advancement in technology in parallel unethical activity also take place which try to access the data illegally to fetch personnel profit. There are various types of attack possibilities in adhoc network but generally attacks are categorized into active attack and passive attack. Our research article based upon black hole attack which is very common to the networks. In this attack a malicious node with high priority number is deployed in between other nodes and malicious node acquire this data instead of destination node and also send an acknowledgement to source node that data received by destination node successfully. In this research paper proposed work executed by GPSR protocol and performance analysis of the black hole attack in Vehicular Ad Hoc Network is tested. The networking parameters of GPSR routing protocol are better than existed protocol in term of end to end delay, packet loss, energy consumption. Further implemented research work can be extended in better way with help of IoT, M2M and artificial intelligence for various network configurations with security algorithm

A Recommendation for Online Social Voting using the Evidence based Filtering Method

Marvelous growth within the quality of on-line social networks (OSNs) in recent years. Most of existing on-line social networks like Face book & Twitter area unit designed to bias towards data speech act to an outsized audience and additionally raises variety of privacy and security problems. Though OSNs permits one user to limit access to her/his knowledge, presently they are doing not give any mechanism to enforce privacy considerations over knowledge related to multiple users. During this paper, we tend to propose associate approach to facilitate cooperative privacy management of shared knowledge in OSNs. we tend to extend and formulate a multiparty access management model, named Evidence based aggregation method to capture the essence of voting in OSNs, beside a multiparty policy specification theme and a policy social control mechanism. We tend to additionally demonstrate the relevancy of our approach by implementing a proof-of-concept example hosted in Face book
