Evaluating E-Commerce Platforms for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods: A Comparative Study from the Consumer Perspective

    Get PDF
This study examines consumer preferences and behaviors across various e-commerce platforms within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Using a sample of 250 respondents, the research evaluates key aspects of e-commerce platforms such as user interface, product availability, pricing, delivery speed, and customer service. Additionally, it investigates the frequency of online shopping for FMCG products and the most preferred payment methods among consumers. The findings reveal a high level of consumer engagement with e-commerce platforms, particularly on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, with overall satisfaction highest in areas such as user interface and delivery speed. However, there are notable areas for improvement, especially in pricing strategies and customer service. The study underscores the importance of offering a seamless user experience, diverse product offerings, competitive pricing, and reliable customer support to enhance consumer satisfaction and loyalty in the competitive e-commerce landscape

Hybrid Renewable Energy System for Efficient Electric Vehicle Battery Charging Using Solar PV and Wind Integration

    Get PDF
The integration of renewable energy sources for electric vehicle (EV) battery charging has gained significant attention due to the increasing need for sustainable transportation solutions. This study presents the design and simulation of a hybrid energy system, combining rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy for efficient EV battery charging. The solar energy system is connected through a boost converter, with a duty cycle controller ensuring maximum power point tracking (MPPT) to optimize the energy harvested from the PV array. Simultaneously, the wind energy system is connected via a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) coupled to a wind turbine. The output from the PMSG is rectified using a three-phase diode bridge rectifier (DBR) and is also linked to a boost converter, controlled by a duty cycle controller, to stabilize the voltage and optimize the charging process. Both energy sources are integrated to charge the EV battery, ensuring a reliable and continuous energy supply. The boost converters in both subsystems are essential for managing voltage fluctuations and improving the charging efficiency of the EV battery. The system's performance is evaluated in MATLAB/Simulink, focusing on the control strategy of the duty cycle controllers and the interaction between the solar and wind subsystems. The results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed hybrid system in delivering a stable and efficient EV battery charging solution, emphasizing the role of renewable energy in achieving sustainable electric mobility

The Future of SME Lending: Innovations in Risk Assessment and Credit Scoring Models Using Machine Learning in Fintech

    Get PDF
The paper looks into how recent innovations like the use of advanced data analytics and machine learning influence SME funding. International socio-economic growth driven by SMEs has been a challenge to access funds since they lack credible credit histories and need to qualify for financial credit scores. These conventional approaches that tend to largely rely on written financial records negatively categorize them as high risk, thereby denying them much-needed funds. This paper discusses how these innovations, supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, offer solutions to these problems using alt data and real-time data to manage risk effectively and sustainably. In addition, the examples of Kabbage and Funding Circle proved that such an approach is beneficial by decreasing the loan's default rate and the time required to consider the applications. Still, this paper examines issues like data privacy, adverse impacts of biased algorithms, and combining with longstanding banking systems; this paper also explores opportunities in machine learning and blockchain in SME lending in the future. Over time, through these technologies, customer loans access anew through efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency with a view of promoting SMEs' competitiveness in the new world market

A Comparative Study on an RC Frame Building with Different Types of Bracing for Various Seismic Zones

    Get PDF
Most of the reinforced concrete buildings failed due to earthquake strikes in that region. So it is critical to select an effective lateral load-resisting system. In the RCC frame, the more prominent significance is given to creating a structure secure against lateral load. To stand up to lateral load acting on a building different types of steel and RCC bracing systems are provided. In this study, the seismic analysis of reinforced concrete framed structures with different types of bracing X- bracing, inverted V bracing, and diamond bracing etc. are investigated in the designing software STAAD.Pro Connect Edition. A G+4 RC framed structure is analyzed for various seismic zones using STAAD.Pro Connect Edition software as per IS code 1893:2016 (Part 1). It is found that the X-type of steel bracing systems significantly contributes to the structural stiffness and reduces the maximum inter-storey drift of RC frame structure than other all the bracing systems. It is also concluded that base shear is maximum for X-type of bracing system other than all the bracing systems for the same seismic zones

Enhanced Encryption Techniques for Secure Watermarking in Cloud-Based Image Sharing

    Get PDF
The proliferation of cloud-based platforms for image sharing has amplified the need for secure and efficient data protection mechanisms. This paper introduces an advanced encryption framework tailored for watermarking in cloud environments. By leveraging Python-based implementations of cutting-edge cryptographic techniques, such as homomorphic encryption and elliptic curve cryptography, the proposed system ensures data confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. The integration of reversible visible watermarking with enhanced encryption guarantees secure embedding and retrieval of ownership or authentication information without compromising image quality. Performance analysis demonstrates the framework's robustness, computational efficiency, and compatibility with cloud-based storage and retrieval systems, making it a viable solution for secure multimedia communication
