Blurb: In order to study the removal of heavy metals from water a copper chloride solution was prepared. Solid copper metal does not naturally dissolve in concentrated hydrochloric acid, but with the addition of hydrogen peroxide the copper dissolves due to a redox reaction

Blurb: This picture is the visual representation of a cluster analysis run over a CSR report data set of large Australian organisations operating in Asia Pacific. Cluster analysis technique allows social science researcher to map and understand thematic relationship, and from a broader perspective unravel the “black-box” of communication. By understanding those precise interrelationships, we can better understand the decision-making process within organisations. This picture has been obtained using NVIVO for the thematic analysis, NodeXL for the Social Network Analysis, and Photoshop for colour rendering

Blurb: If one image were to sum up my doctoral research experience it would be this. For the past three years I have been researching the aesthetic appraisal of everyday objects, namely chairs. During this time I have looked at, de-constructed and codified more chairs than there are in this one photo. I immediately laughed when I saw this art installation, and thought to myself, that this is what the inside of my brain must look like. It was taken at the Manarat Al Saadiyat Gallery in Abu Dhabi, UAE, when I was travelling to a research conference in Istanbul, Turkey late last year
