    Charles Lawrence, Head of Plumbing, retires from Swinburne after 42 years of teaching. He was appointed in 1928 as Assistant Instructor in Plumbing. He had enrolled in the Junior School in 1919, won a Council scholarship to the Senior School and in 1926 won a gold medal of the Master Plumbers' Association
