Morphological and Anatomical Study of Origanum cyrenaicum Endemic to Libya
No full textThe present study provides a detailed analysis of the morphological and anatomical characteristics of Origanum cyrenaicumBeg.et Vacc., an endemic species of the genus Origanum L. in Libya. This research represents the first documentation of these features for this particular species. The anatomical features of O. cyrenaicum, including the stem, petiole, and leaf, were thoroughly examined and presented in this paper. Cross-sections of stems and leaves were carefully analyzed and complemented with illustrations and photographs. Given the limited information available on this native taxon, this study contributes valuable insights into the unique characteristics of O. cyrenaicum

EFFICIENT COMPUTATION OF THE M-CLOSURE FOR SOLVABLE PERMUTATION GROUPS

The m-closure is an essential concept in group theory, particularly in understanding the structure and properties of permutation groups. We propose an algorithm that constructs the m-closure with a time complexity of nO(m), significantly improving the computational efficiency compared to existing methods. Through rigorous mathematical analysis and computational experiments, we demonstrate the effectiveness and scalability of our approach
ENHANCE CANONICAL IMAGE COMPUTATION FOR FINITE PERMUTATION GROUPS USING GRAPH BACKTRACKING
Get PDFIn this paper, we present a novel algorithm for efficiently computing canonical images of objects under the action of finite permutation groups. Our approach builds upon previous work utilizing Graph Backtracking, an extension of Jeffrey Leon's Partition Backtrack framework. By generalizing both Nauty and Steve Linton's Minimal Image algorithm, our method achieves significant improvements in computational efficiency and accuracy. We introduce a systematic exploration of the permutation group structure to guide the canonical image computation process, resulting in enhanced performance compared to existing methods. Through rigorous theoretical analysis and empirical evaluation, we demonstrate the effectiveness and scalability of our algorithm across diverse application scenarios
Supply Chain Intelligence and Operational Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises in Ghana: The Mediating Role of Collaboration
Get PDFThis paper examines the role of supply chain collaboration in the relationship between supply chain intelligence and operational performance. A sample of 400 small and medium enterprises in Ghana were used to address the research objectives. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and structural equation modelling. The findings of the study revealed that, supply chain intelligence positively impacts the operational performance of small and medium scale enterprises in Ghana. Additionally, the study found that supply chain collaboration plays a significant role in enhancing the operational performance of SMEs in Ghana. Finally, the analysis of the study concludes that supply chain collaboration further plays a significant mediating role in increasing the impact of supply chain intelligence and operational performance of small and medium scale enterprises in Ghana. The study is significant because, the findings would help expand existing literature on supply chain intelligence, supply chain collaboration and operational performance, thereby having positive implications on theory, policy, and practice

OM allows the capacity of technology to minimize resources, optimize processes, and enhance development, which, in turn, increases productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability of the economy in several sectors. Effective OM overcomes such barriers as inadequate infrastructure, a lack of market maturity, and excessive costs using corrective resource management methods and the use of lean production techniques. The streamlined theme in resilient supply chains, among others, involves effective inventory management, logistics optimization, and strong supplier relationships. TotalQualityManagement (TQM) and Theory of Constraints (TOC) are meant to provide customers with high-quality production and find out the structure that slows down production. Investment in infrastructure developments and maintenance plays a key role in the overall health of OM. Through the introduction of a circular economy model, OM accomplishes a reduction in waste disposal, optimum utilization of available resources, and further technological developments. Much of this is due to its role in chatting up jobs as well as add-ons that are employed to beef up industries through skills development and effective operations. Itis an economic growth catalyst to the extent that it sparks business growth and enhances economic output. Strategic achievement involves national economic objectives, environmental studies, and business operations to achieve the stability of the country's economy. The Role of Governance Mechanisms in Enhancing Internal Audit: A Field Study in the Municipalities of Salah al-Din Province, Iraq
No full textThe aim of this study is to identify the role played by the application of the principles of governance in enhancing internal auditing. The field study was conducted on a sample of municipalities in Salah al-Din Governorate, the total number of which is seventeen municipalities.
We have divided the research into five chapters, and the research followed the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire tool was relied upon to collect the required data in the field study. Among the most important results reached are:

CREATIVE ACCOUNTING PRACTICES AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF LISTED MANUFACTURING COMPANIES IN NIGERIA
Get PDFThis study examined the relationship between creative accounting practices and reported financial performance of listed manufacturing companies in Nigeria, and the extent creative accounting practices proxied by related party transactions (RPT), impacts on financial performance measured with return on assets ‘ROA,) and return on equity (ROE,). Five year financial data from 2018 to 2022 often companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange group (NSE) were extracted using the stratified and simple random sampling techniques. The study used secondary sources of data extracted from the published financial statements and accounts of the sampled companies. Data analysis techniques used in this study included descriptive statistics, the ordinary least square (OLS,) regression techniques using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0 statistical software. The results obtained revealed that RPT has positive and significant relationship with ROA. In relation to ROE, the results revealed that RPT has a negative and significant impact on ROE. The coefficient of determination as revealed from the combined impact of the independent variable shows that 99.9% of the variation in the dependent variables is explained by the independent variables while the remaining 0.1% is attributable to other factors. The exposition from the data analysis clearly points to the fact that listed manufacturing companies in Nigeria use creative accounting practices to manipulate earnings or profits in order to achieve management desire to present impressive financial performance of the entity. The work concluded that the desire to showcase impressive picture of corporate financial performance often breaches professional ethics in financial reporting The study recommends a more stringent regulatory regime with effective enforcement mechanisms to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standard and Auditing standards in order to reduce creative accounting practices. The introduction of punitive measures could also assist in curbing the act of creative accounting amongst Nigerian companies
IMPACT OF RESORT IMAGE ON TOURIST LOYALTY OF SELECTED TOURISM SITES IN RIVERS STATE

Employing a cross-sectional survey design, data was gathered from 361 respondents using the Freund and William sampling technique. Both primary and secondary data sources were tapped into, with primary data collection facilitated through a closed-ended questionnaire utilizing a five-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics, aided by SPSS version 23.0, were leveraged for data analysis.
The study's findings underscore a positive and substantial correlation between resort image and tourist loyalty. This pivotal relationship highlights the significance of a resort's image in shaping visitor loyalty. Consequently, recommendations are made for the improvement of destination security and increased investment in image-building and marketing strategies. By bolstering security measures and enhancing their image, resorts in Port Harcourt can not only retain existing tourist loyalty but also attract new patrons, fostering sustainable growth and success in the competitive tourism landscap

Get PDFThe impact of maternal deprivation on adolescents’ psychosocial development in the Buea municipality, South West region. The objectives of this study were: to find out how maternal divorce influences on the psychosocial development of adolescents, to investigate how maternal death influenced the psychosocial development of adolescents and to identify the influence of maternal illness on the psychosocial development of adolescents. This study made use of the survey research design and the simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 50 students for the study. The questionnaire was used for data collection. Data was analyzed using the percentage and thematically. The findings revealed that 72% of the respondents supported the fact that when the mother is divorced it brings about indiscipline, truancy, promiscuity and aggressiveness, 62% of the respondents supported that maternal death brought about promiscuity, truancy and waywardness in adolescents and 62% of the respondents supported that maternal illness brought about negative impacts on the psychosocial development of adolescents. The study recommended that childcare activists and practitioners work towards creating a society where adolescents are very involved and not just mere victims of circumstances beyond their control and to find good therapeutic interventions to assist adolescents who are have been deprived from maternal care
