Aim: This study determine various treatment and segregation methods practiced in disposing HCW in Nembe LGA.A census sampling technique was adopted to select the participants for this study. Results: The study consist of 27 males and 23 female staff subjects randomly interviewed in one hospital and 24 health centres. Findings from this study indicate that >40yrs make up the highest proportion of respondents while those between the ages of 20-29yrs are the least among the recruited respondents. The level of education among staff with ND and HND was far higher compared to staff with Msc degree and school cert. The study also reveal that the hospital visited has waste disposal containers around its premises. However containers were not observed in some health centres during the study period. The autoclave and microwave was effectively used in the hospital as a means of disinfecting health care instrument after use (44%) as against health centres of none but 12% of chemical use as means of disinfection. Also, revelation from this study indicate thathealth care wastes generated at the Nembe General Hospital are moderately managed. The study further reveal that both staff in the various facilities do regularly transfer sharp objects that have been used to the LGA headquarter for proper incineration. Conclusion: Most health care centres dispose their HCW into the river, with bushy surrounding without regular fumigation of its environment. This has created an avenue for mosquitoes forming breeding sites leading to their increase in number with the possibilities of spreading malaria rapidly to both staff, patients and other subjects.

Rural Women Rice Farmers' Perceptions of Information and Communication Technologies for Enhancing Agricultural Practices in North Central
This study examines the perceptions of rural women rice farmers on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in enhancing agricultural practices in Northcentral Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive research design. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select the farming communities for the study. Three L.G.A. were selected from each state based on the volume of rice production and the number of women involved in farming. The sample size of the study was 450 women rice farmers from 45 communities made up of 50 farmers from each of the L.G.A. The most commonly used ICT tools were public address systems, radios, and mobile phones. The results showed that more than 50% of the respondents attest to ICT playing a significant role in decision-making, access to financial services, and knowledge sharing all of which positively impact agricultural practices. Regression analysis revealed that socio-economic factors such as marital status, education, farming experience, household size, and cooperative membership influence the use of ICT, accounting for 15.52% of the variation in use. However, barriers such as poor network connectivity (mean = 0.803) and high costs (mean = 0.795) limit broader ICT adoption. Addressing these challenges could empower rural women farmers and increase agricultural productivity. The study recommends that government and agricultural agencies improve the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information shared via ICT platforms, particularly focusing on climate data, market trends, and best farming practices that are easily accessible to rural women. In addition, Policymakers should consider creating specific policies that support the digital inclusion of rural women in agriculture

Out of 617 copies of the questionnaire administered on the respondents, 606 copies were duly completed, retrieved and used for data analysis. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The result of the study indicated that maintenance of a collaborative culture in which teachers engage in focused and purposeful development and collaborative decision making is essential in motivating teachers to perform above and beyond their minimum level which indicates teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviour. Attitudes of Teachers towards the Development of Achievement Motivation in Primary Schools in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State
Primary school teachers, like all other teachers in different sectors of education, have a set of roles to perform, to enable the predetermined objectives of the primary school to be attained. According to Idumanje (2002), motivation is generally regarded as the drive to achieve targets or goals, and therefore must be maintained for academic achievement. Motivation provides an important foundation to complete cognitive behavior, such as planning, organization, decision-making, learning, and assessments (Pintrich & Schunk, 2006).
Achievement motivation for Reynolds (2006) can be conditioned in individuals at the early state of life through training, experiences and subsequent learning. Furthermore children usually acquire the achievement motive from their parent's lifestyle and teachers’ attitudes. Studies on attitude of teachers towards developing achievement motivation in pupils have shown that, children whose independent training starts at an early age and those whose teachers give more autonomy within a cooperative, encouraging and less authoritarian classroom environment usually develop an achievement oriented attitude. These key areas were investigated by the researcher to establish development of achievement motivation among primary school pupils. This study therefore propose to explore attitudes of teachers towards the development of achievement motivation in primary school pupils very relevant among school pupil
Typology of Owho-nu-ogwu (Deified Symbols of Justice truth) among the Ikwerre of Niger Delta
Owho-nu-ogwu are two different deified ritual symbols which complement each other in Ikwerre worldview. These two ritual symbols occupy a central and unique place in Ikwerre ritual balance. This is because the people believe that these two cultic symbols can vindicate anyone who is accused falsely as well as punish any offender in line with their customs and traditions, but the belief and practices associated with them are gradually going into extinction as a result of modern forces of change such as westernization. This article, therefore, re-examines the typologies these symbols in Ikwerre religious thought. The article adopted the symbolic interactionism theory as its framework which states that the meaning of symbols is imposed on what the users interpret them to mean. The article adopted both the analytical and descriptive approaches. Our findings so far revealed that the belief in these cultic symbols is still relevant to the people in-spite of the devastating effects of modern changes. The work therefore, recommends that the socio-cultural values of these symbols should not be misconceived as “fetish” as most Christians see it, but rather be seen as institutionalised practice which they inherited from their forebears. The work also recommended that these practices should not go into extinction, but a way through which their culture is kept
