Social Construction of Dangdut Lamongan: Identity and Performance of Dangdut Lamongan
Lamongan has two different characteristics based on its territory, namely the North dominated by the culture of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom and Demak Kingdom, and South Parts dominated by Ancient Mataram culture. This cultural diversity has a significant impact on the development of dangdut music in Lamongan. This study was carried out to determine the characteristics of dangdut music in Lamongan based on the cultural backgrounds and the characteristics of the people in each region. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with phenomenology and social construction methods. The results of this study show how public construction is formed through thought that produces a social construction. The social construction process of dangdut Lamongan music can be seen through three stages, namely internalization, objectification, and externalization. Internalization occurs when a culture are penetrated on dangdut music, adopted and becoming part of the social identity of society. The music not only represents entertainment but also cultural values and social norms lowered from generation to generation. Objektivication is visible in objective elements such as musical instruments, and stage performances which form the typical identity of the dangdut Lamongan. Musical instruments such as drum, suling and electronic musical elements in modern dangdut collaborate with traditional musical instruments. Finally, Externalization occurs when people create in accordance with the form of serving their respective regions. Through the three processes, dangdut music in Lamongan becomes a social space where people interact, communicate, and reinforce their cultural identity through music
Grassroots Community Music Education as a Strategy for Liberating Marginalized Communities in Surabaya
This article discusses community music education as social emancipation for marginalized groups in Surabaya based on a case study of POSS (Surabaya Arts Center). For the sake of this research, POSS was explored qualitatively using a case study approach. The data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation. The study demonstrates that POSS assumes Freire\u27s pedagogy of the oppressed by embracing dialogic, participatory, and experiential education as principles of education. Music education at POSS is geared not just towards technical proficiency but also towards self-discovery, social identity transformation, and active citizenship of students in public life. A few of the students have proceeded to perform nationally and internationally and establish identical art communities in other regions of the country. These results illustrate that music education via community can effectively facilitate social mobility and new spheres of representation for marginalized groups. Furthermore, the study highlights the imperative of cultural recognition, trust-based leadership, and inclusive pedagogy in transforming how education can reach out to underserved communities. POSS demonstrates that music education has the potential to transform not only individuals but also communities, when it is founded upon lived experience and collective empowerment. This research calls for stronger support for community-based arts education as a genuine commitment to social justice and cultural inclusion in the educational system of Indonesia
Symbolism of Movement in Widya Prakrti Dance: A Phenomenological Analysis of Cultural and Spiritual Interpretation
Artistic and cultural degradation has recently emerged amidst the rapid spread of digitised information. This research aims to anticipate the degradation of the understanding of the art of cultural identity by finding historical records, symbols and meanings in the Widya Prakrti Dance owned by the maestro of the island of Bali. It is essential to conduct an in-depth study that has an impact on the millennial generation in the digital era not to leave the tradition of meaning symbols in their cultural identity. The method used in this research is qualitative phenomenology. Data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, documentation and literature studies and studied using George Herbert Mead\u27s theory of symbolic interactionism. The participants are divided into 2 groups, namely key informants of 2 people and companion informants of 13 people who will complete the data presentation. The findings of this study examine the history, meaning and symbols of the Widya Prakrti dance. The sacredness of this dance is a manifestation of love for God and Lord Vishnu as the strength and balance of life
Dialog Bunyi: Reinterpreting Uroh Rapai as a Manifestation of Social Piety in Musical Composition
This research aims to investigate the uroh rapai tradition in North Aceh, focusing on rapai pase, a unique form of Acehnese membranophone that is performed in competitive settings. The study emphasizes the philosophical and social dimensions of uroh rapai by interpreting it as a manifestation of social piety. Employing a practice-led approach, where the creative process itself becomes the core of inquiry, the study integrates three fundamental principles of piety: habluminallah (human relationship with God), habluminannas (human relationship with others), and habluminalalam (human relationship with nature). Data were collected through literature review, direct observation of uroh performances, and in-depth interviews with syeh rapai and players. These insights were then transformed into an experimental musical composition entitled Dialog Bunyi. The result is in a form of composition, structured into three segments; first, natural soundscapes symbolizing ecological harmony, second, instrumental interaction as a metaphor of social solidarity; and third, rapai rhythms and devotional chanting as an expression of spiritual devotion. Its premiere performance demonstrated how traditional art can be recontextualized into contemporary works, rooted in Acehnese identity. The research contributes a new methodological and pedagogical model for tradition-based music studies, offering a way to preserve and creatively reinterpret cultural heritage
Choreographing Matrilineal Archives: Feminist Emplacement in Perempuan dan Rumah Gadang by Loravianti
This research examines the choreographic work of Susas Rita Loravianti, particularly Perempuan dan Rumah Gadang, as sites of feminist resistance and spatial emplacement within the Minangkabau village. While existing scholarship on Minangkabau often romanticizes its matrilineal system, this study identifies a gap in understanding how women\u27s bodies actively negotiate the matrilineal paradox, the tension between symbolic female power in the ancestral home and formal male authority in public discourse. Drawing on a two-year ethnographic approach (2022–2024), the research employs participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and detailed gestural mapping to analyze the creative process. The study integrates Doreen Massey\u27s concept of relational space with Gay McAuley\u27s performance spatiality to argue that Loravianti\u27s choreography transcends mere illustration, constituting a subversive critical perspective that reimagines the village (kampuang) as a dynamic arena of global social relations. The findings suggest that the performance functions as a subaltern counterpublic, empowering women to develop oppositional identities in opposition to the restrictive behavioral codes of the Sumbang Duo Baleh. Furthermore, the research considers the limitations of this artistic strategy, questioning the inclusivity of the performance space for non-elite women within the village and examining the potential for artistic abstraction to obscure pressing socio-political crises

Ziel des Verbundprojektes “COCOBOTS” war es, die Grundlagen für Gesprächsassistenten und “Cobots” zu entwickeln, die auf flexible Weise mit menschlichen Mitarbeitern interagieren können. Insbesondere war es ein Ziel des Projektes, die Barriere zu überwinden, die dazu führt, dass Cobots oft immer noch von besonders eingewiesenen und ausgebildeten Mitarbeitern programmiert werden müssen. Dies sollte geschehen dadurch, dass die Setzung neuer Aufgaben durch Erklären und Vorführen in sprachlicher Interaktion stattfinden sollte. Es haben sich dafür 4 Partner zusammengefunden: Auf französischer Seite die Universität Toulouse sowie das Unternehmen “linagora”, das im Bereich Sprachsoftware tätig ist; auf deutscher Seite die Universität Potsdam sowie das Unternehmen “Synergeticon”. Die Partner haben sich dabei mit ihren Kompetenzen ergänzt, von komputationaler Semantik (Toulouse) zu Sprachdialogsystemen (Potsdam), über Softwareengineering (Linagora) und Computer Vision sowie Robotik (synergeticon)

In this project, we developed and analyzed a theoretical approach for generation high-order orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes in bright squeezed vacuum states of light and biphotons based on parametric down-conversion (PDC), four-wave mixing (FWM) processes and nonlinear SU(1,1) interferometers.
Firstly, we considered a single nonlinear crystal pumped by a Laguerre-Gaussian pump with various orbital and radial numbers and analyzed the mode structure of the squeezed light generated in such a system for different regimes: low-gain (biphoton pairs) and high-gain (bright squeezed vacuum). We demonstrated that the OAM distribution becomes significantly broader for non-Gaussian pump excitation.
We then extended the above system to a configuration of nonlinear SU(1,1) interferometers by adding a second crystal separated by an air gap. We demonstrated that such a configuration leads to the counter-intuitive phenomenon of a non-monotonic population of OAM modes, which allows filtering out the desired OAM modes using high parametric gain. Finally, we considered such types of interferometers for angular displacement measurements by placing a Dove prism between the two crystals and demonstrated sensitivity below the classical shot noise limit.
To describe such highly-multimode systems in the high-gain regime, we developed a theoretical approach based on the solution of a system of integro-differential equations for the plane-wave operators. In this approach, based on the joint-Schmidt decomposition of transfer functions, we introduced broadband Schmidt modes and characterized their profiles and squeezing for different gain regimes. To consider multimode high-gain SU(1,1) interferometers, we developed a generalized theoretical approach that takes into account a complex interplay between modes from different crystals in the system.
Finally, to perform mode sorting, we considered an OAM photon source based on the FWM process in helical grating fibers and demonstrated the generation of polarization-entangled photons in high-order OAM modes propagating in opposite directions according to the sign of their OAM.
Within this project we have obtained several relevant results for different model systems and predicted novel effects. We have developed systems that can be directly applied to experimental implementation and even once test our theory by performing a joint theoretical-experimental work together with our experimental collaborators. The developed designs and predicted properties could be useful for future applications in quantum technologies and devices that take advantage of high-order OAM modes and bright squeezed vacuum states of light.In diesem Projekt haben wir einen theoretischen Ansatz zur Erzeugung von Bahndrehimpulsmoden höherer Ordnung (OAM) in hellen gequetschten Vakuumzuständen von Licht und Photonenpaaren entwickelt und analysiert, der auf parametrischer Fluoreszenz (PDC), Vierwellenmischungsprozessen (FWM) und nichtlinearen SU(1,1)-Interferometern basiert.
Zunächst betrachteten wir einen einzelnen nichtlinearen Kristall, der von einer Laguerre-Gauß-Pumpe mit verschiedenen Orbital- und Radialzahlen gepumpt wurde, und analysierten die Modenstruktur des in einem solchen System erzeugten gequetschten Lichts für verschiedene Bereiche: niedrige Verstärkung (Biphotonenpaare) und hohe Verstärkung (helles gequetschtes Vakuum). Wir zeigten, dass die OAM-Verteilung bei nicht-Gaußscher Pumpanregung deutlich breiter wird.
Anschließend erweiterten wir das obige System zur Konfiguration eines nichtlinearen SU(1,1)-Interferometers, indem wir einen zweiten, durch einen Luftspalt getrennten Kristall hinzufügten. Wir zeigten, dass eine solche Konfiguration zu dem kontraintuitiven Phänomen einer nicht-monotonen Population von OAM-Moden führt, was das Herausfiltern der gewünschten OAM-Modi durch hohe parametrische Verstärkung ermöglicht. Schließlich betrachteten wir solche Interferometertypen für Winkelverschiebungsmessungen, indem wir ein Dove-Prisma zwischen die beiden Kristalle platzierten und so eine Empfindlichkeit unterhalb der klassischen Schrotrauschgrenze demonstrieren konnten.
Um solche hochmultimodalen Systeme im Hochverstärkungsbereich zu beschreiben, haben wir einen theoretischen Ansatz entwickelt, der auf der Lösung eines Systems von Integro-Differentialgleichungen für die Operatoren ebener Wellen basiert. In diesem Ansatz, der auf der gemeinsamen Schmidt-Zerlegung von Übertragungsfunktionen basiert, haben wir breitbandige Schmidt-Moden eingeführt und deren Profile und Quetschen (squeezing) für verschiedene Verstärkungsbereiche charakterisiert. Für die Betrachtung multimodaler SU(1,1)-Interferometer mit hoher Verstärkung haben wir einen verallgemeinerten theoretischen Ansatz entwickelt, der das komplexe Wechselspiel zwischen Moden aus verschiedenen Kristallen im System berücksichtigt.
Im Rahmen dieses Projekts haben wir mehrere relevante Ergebnisse für verschiedene Modellsysteme erzielt und neuartige Effekte vorhergesagt. Wir haben Systeme entwickelt, die direkt experimentell umgesetzt werden können und unsere Theorie durch eine gemeinsame theoretisch-experimentelle Arbeit mit unseren experimentellen Partnern sogar einmal testen können. Die entwickelten Designs und vorhergesagten Eigenschaften könnten für zukünftige Anwendungen in Quantentechnologien nützlich sein, die OAM-Modi höherer Ordnung und helle, gequetschte Vakuumzustände des Lichts nutzen

Im Verbundprojekt "insectmatter" wurde die Prozessentwicklung für die Erspinnung von Filamentgarnen und die Formulierung von Kartonagebeschichtungen auf Basis von Insektenchitosan aus der Schwarzen Soldatenfliege (BSF) erforscht.
Ziel war es, neuartige, biobasierte Materialien für textile Anwendungen und Verpackungslösungen zu entwickeln und deren industrielle Verarbeitbarkeit zu demonstrieren.
Im Teilvorhaben "InsMat-V" konnte gezeigt werden, dass Insektenchitosan aus der Schwarzen Soldatenfliege (BSF) zur Herstellung von Filamentgarnen und funktionellen Beschichtungen geeignet ist. Es wurden stabile Spinnlösungen entwickelt, die im Lösungsmittelnassspinnverfahren zu Multifilamentgarnen verarbeitet werden konnten. Zudem wurden auf Basis desselben Rohstoffs Beschichtungsformulierungen erarbeitet, die auf Papier appliziert eine verbesserte Barrierewirkung, insbesondere gegen Fette, zeigten.
Die Zusammenarbeit mit den Verbundpartnern (madebymade GmbH, BioLog Heppe GmbH, Burg Giebichstein Kunsthochschule Halle, NIG Nahrungsingenieurtechnik GmbH) ermöglichte die Sicherstellung der Rohstoffversorgung, die Abstimmung der Qualitätsanforderungen und die Evaluierung der entwickelten Prozesse für den industriellen Einsatz. Die Ergebnisse bilden eine tragfähige Basis für die weitere Forschung und technologische Umsetzung in nachfolgenden Projekten
