No full textHemel-en-Aarde, Ataraxia. On the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde road from Hermanus to Caledon lie a number of well-known wineries. One of them is the Ataraxia Estate. The main building on the estate is the tasting room that has been built like a wedding chapel. On top of the front entrance of the building figures a small belfry that contains a bell in its bell-cote. The bell has no decorations and can be rung by pulling a rope that is hanging down from the bell to the front entrance

No full textHerold, Dutch Reformed Church. The foundation stone of the Nederduitse Gereformeerde Kerk in Herold was laid on 31 July 1954. The church has been designed by the architects Louw & Louw. In the tower hangs a large bell that does not reveal its founder nor its founding date. Below the shoulder are two moulding wires with in between a sequence of simple, small crosses. On the yoke one can see that the company Hoesch has been responsible for the installation of the bell. There are however no further decorations
