They gave the message of brotherhood, peace and prosperity through their poetry. They intend to educate the Muslim women but were against their unfair libertine. The poetry of Mir Sher Ali Afsos seems to be impressive in the color of despair apart from love, but this color is traditional. A study of Kuliat-e-Afsos reveals that he has used all the essentials of art to enhance the reader's quest for techniques, similes and metaphors in his words, as well as the craft of poetry.     The Novel “Neeli Bar”: A Review

    Tahira Iqbal is a unique fiction writer and novelist of Urdu literature. His novel “Neeli Bar” holds an important place in the history of novel writing. The villages between the rivers Ravi and Satluj are called the “Neeli Bar” region. This region includes the cities of Sahiwal, Okara, Deepalpur, Pakpattan, Arifwala, Chicha Watni, Vehari and Borewala. In the novel, the harsh weather and intense sun of this region are mentioned and the effects of this harsh weather on the lives of the local settlers are also examined. The female charactes are stronger than the men; they are sincere in their emotions and feelings and are also victims of the cruel tricks of this system. This novel is not only a great narrative of Punjab but also a political, social, economic and religious history of Pakistan. This article examines the above mentioned aspects of this novel in detail

    Numberdar Ka Neela: A Study of Postcolonial Context & Anti-Colonialism

    Syed Ashraf's novel, "Numberdar Ka Neela," serves as a potent critique of the post-colonial condition. It illustrates how oppression and exploitation persist even after country gains independence. The author delves into issues like power concentration, power abuse, and resistance to oppression, set in the early 1950s post-colonial context. The central character, Thakur Odal Singh, embodies power, exploitation, and tyranny. He symbolizes the forces struggling to retain their dominance in a changing society. Thakur's authority is epitomized by his blue bull, ‘Neela’, representing the violent and destructive consequences of concentrated power. Despite Neela's sacred status in Hindu religion, the villagers gradually realize it is merely a tool of oppression wielded by Thakur to maintain control. The novel culminates with the villagers finally rebelling against this cruelty, resulting in Neela's defeat and disappearance, as well as the demise of Thakur and his two sons. This article critically analyzes the symbolism and postcolonial context of "Neela" in "Numberdar Ka Neela.

    A Critical Study of Syed Muzaffar Hussain Burni’s Iqbal Study

    The specialists of Iqbal extended the way for new topics. Mr. Burni also explored a new corner and provided a new topic to the students of Iqbal Studies for research and criticism. Despite his professional responsibilities, he remained practically active for the improvement of Iqbal's thought. He preserved Iqbal’s letters in four volumes. The preface of the first volume is an authentic document of Urdu language and literature. He also delivered a lecture which was published in two books under different names with modifications and additions. Iqbal was a supporter of unity among different sects and religions. He had also quoted poems appropriate to the subject. Iqbal also studied Indian thought and philosophy in depth. He was a well-read man with a wide range of boundaries. Restricting Iqbal's thought can lead to misconception. Mr. Burni has given examples of Iqbal's patriotism. This article provides a comparison between the views of Iqbal and Burni.
