Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı’nda (TYT ve AYT) 2018-2023 Arasında Çıkan Din Kültürü ve Ahlâk Bilgisi Sorularının Yenilenmiş Bloom Taksonomisine Göre Analizi
Bu çalışmada Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı’nda Din Kültürü ve Ahlâk Bilgisi (DKAB) dersinde çıkan soruların Yenilenmiş Bloom Taksonomisi’ne (YBT) göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda 2018-2023 yılları arasında uygulanan Temel Yeterlik Testi (TYT) ve Alan Yeterlik Testi (AYT) sınavlarında DKAB dersinde çıkan toplam 66 sorunun YBT’nin bilişsel süreç ve bilgi boyutundaki dağılımları analiz edilmiştir. Bilişsel alanı ölçmek için kullanılan seçme testlerindeki soruların farklı seviyelerde ve dengeli bir şekilde hazırlanması gerekmektedir. DKAB sorularının da hangi seviyede olduklarının tespit edilmesi önem arz etmektedir. Soruların seviyesinin belirlenmesinde YBT kullanışlı bir taksonomidir. Nitel araştırma yöntemi esas alınarak durum çalışması desenine göre yapılandırılan çalışmada, verilerin toplanmasında ve analizinde doküman incelemesi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın neticesinde ilgili yıllarda çıkan DKAB sorularının bilişsel süreç boyutunda hatırlama ve anlama basamaklarında yoğunlaştığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu iki basamak alt düzey bilişsel seviye olarak kabul edilmektedir. Üst düzey bilişsel seviyede çözümleme basamağı hariç diğerlerine yer verilmemiştir. Bilgi boyutunda ise olgusal ve kavramsal bilgi basamakları ağırlıktadır. Ortaya çıkan bu sonuç TYT ve AYT sınavlarında çıkan DKAB sorularının Yenilenmiş Bloom Taksonomisi’nin her iki boyutunda da dengeli bir şekilde dağılmadığını göstermektedir
Determination of the effect of cold plasma technique and black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) extract on the quality characteristics of beef mince
Soğuk plazma uygulamaları, gıda sektöründe yeni ve etkili bir yaklaşım olarak kabul edilmektedir. Özellikle et ve et ürünlerinde mikrobiyolojik riskleri azaltmak için sıkça kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Son yıllarda, fenolik ve antioksidan içeriği yüksek bitkisel ürünlerin et ve et ürünlerinde kullanımı da önemli bir araştırma konusu haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, soğuk plazma tekniğinin ve kara mürver (Sambucus nigra) ekstraktının, sığır kıymasının fizikokimyasal ve mikrobiyal parametreleri üzerindeki etkileri depolama süresi boyunca incelenmiştir. Örnekler, kontrol grubu, plazma uygulanan grup ve kara mürver ekstraktı ilave edilen grup olmak üzere altı farklı grupta hazırlanmıştır. Örnekler, +4°C'de 8 gün boyunca depolama yapılmıştır. Çalışmada Openair APPJ sistemi kullanılmış olup, bu sistem 1 kW gücünde plazma oluşturan bir jeneratör ve diğer bileşenlerden oluşmaktadır. Proses gazı olarak kuru hava kullanılmış ve plazma gazının çıkış frekansı ile giriş basıncı sırasıyla 13,56 MHz ve 3 bar sabitlenmiştir. Soğuk plazma işleminin kıyma numunelerinin pH değerleri üzerinde önemli bir etkisinin olmadığı belirlenmiştir (P>0,05). Su aktivitesi (aw) değerleri kontrol örneğine göre azalış göstermiştir. Renk değerlerinde (L*, a*, b*) depolama süresi boyunca istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değişimler gözlemlenmiştir (P0.05). Water activity (aw) values decreased compared to the control sample. Statistically significant changes were observed in color values (L*, a*, b*) during the storage period (P<0.05). While the L* value increased at the end of the storage period, a* and b* values increased with the effect of cold plasma application. While the addition of black elderberry extract increased phenolic values of ground meat, it was determined that cold plasma application increased the phenolic substance content. It was determined that with cold plasma application and the addition of black elderberry extract, the total aerobic mesophilic bacteria count, yeast-mould count, Enterobacteriaceae count and psychrophile bacteria count decreased compared to the control group. As a result, it was concluded that cold plasma application and the addition of black elderberry extract positively affected the quality characteristics of ground meat
The United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in Türkiye the Social Studies Curriculum
Birleşmiş Milletler 2030 sürdürülebilir kalkınma amaçları, dünya üzerinde yoksulluğu önlemek, dünyayı korumak, bireylerin barış ve refah içerisinde yaşamlarını sürdürmelerini sağlamak için tüm insanların yaşamını ilgilendiren toplamda 17 ana ve bunlara bağlı alt amaçların bulunduğu evrensel bir çağrıdır. Öğrencileri çevre ve topluma karşı duyarlı, sorumluluklarını yerine getiren ve temel vatandaşlık becerilerine sahip bireyler olarak yetiştirmeyi amaçlayan sosyal bilgiler, sürdürülebilir kalkınma amaçları ile doğrudan ilişkilidir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler öğretim programını Birleşmiş Milletler 2030 sürdürülebilir kalkınma amaçları açısından değerlendirmektir. Doküman analizi yöntemiyle yapılan değerlendirmede 2018 sosyal bilgiler öğretim programı’nın yetkinlikleri, becerileri, değerleri ve kazanımları ile Birleşmiş Milletler 2030 sürdürülebilir kalkınma amaçları karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Yapılan inceleme sonuçlarına göre; sosyal bilgiler öğretim programında en çok “insana yakışır iş ve ekonomik büyüme”, “barış, adalet ve güçlü kurumlar” ve “amaçlar için ortaklıklar” adlı amaçlara yer verildiği görülmüştür. Bunun yanında “yetkinler” bölümünde en çok “nitelikli eğitim”e, beceriler bölümünde en çok “insana yakışır iş ve ekonomik büyüme”, “sanayi, yenilikçilik ve altyapı”, “nitelikli eğitim” ve “amaçlar için ortaklıklar”, değerler bölümünde ise “barış, adalet ve güçlü kurumlar” adlı amaçlara değinildiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca amaçlar en çok “üretim, dağıtım ve tüketim” öğrenme alanıyla ve 5. sınıf kazanımlarıyla ilişkilendirilmiştir.The United Nations 2030 sustainable development goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that individuals live in peace and prosperity, with 17 main goals and sub-goals that concern the lives of all people. The social studies course aims to raise students' sensitivity to the environment and society, fulfill their responsibilities, and have basic citizenship skills directly related to sustainable development goals. This study aims to evaluate the social studies curriculum regarding the United Nations 2030 sustainable development goals. Using the document analysis method, the analysis compared the competencies, skills, values, and learning acquisitions specified in the 2018 Türkiye social studies curriculum with the United Nations 2030 sustainable development goals. The analysis revealed that the social studies curriculum mostly included the goals of “decent work and economic growth,” “peace, justice, and strong institutions,” and “partnerships for the goals.” Besides, it was found that the competencies in the curriculum were mostly related to the “quality education” goal, skills were mostly associated with the goals of “decent work and economic growth,” “industry, innovation, and infrastructure,” “quality education,” and “partnerships for the goals,” and values were mostly related to the “peace, justice, and strong institutions” goal. In addition, it was determined that the goals were mostly associated with the “production, distribution, and consumption” learning area and 5th-grade learning outcomes. On the other hand, some competencies, skills, values, history topics, and subjects about Türkiye were not found to be related to the sustainable development goals. Based on the findings, the UN's sustainable development goals can be recommended to be included in the 2018 Türkiye social studies curriculum
A COMPARISON OF THE THREE TECHNIQUES IN PREDICTING BREAKING STRENGTH OF COTTON AND BLENDED WOVEN FABRICS
The adaptation and utilization of artificial intelligence techniques for various demands of the textile and apparel industry has been gradually increasing. The use of such methods are particularly very useful when making predictions based on the past company data in the cases where statistical methods are likely to be insufficient. It is obvious that an accurate projection of both structural and performance properties of woven fabrics is extremely important in regard of fabric design. In this study, several models based on multiple linear regression, artificial neural networks and random forest algorithms were developed to predict the breaking strength of woven fabrics which is considered one of the most important performance characteristic. Industrial data comprising variables of 147 sets of pure cotton and 53 sets of polyester/viscose woven fabrics are used. Breaking strength of a fabric is very much effected by basic structural elements of the fabric. For the sake of revealing the best relationship between the breaking strength and variables of fabric, various explanatory variables influencing the fabric properties are taken into consideration and several models were developed by means of Minitab Statistics Program, Weka and R software and the overall results are compared. Among all the models created by the three different techniques, it was found that the regression and artificial neural networks models performed well in both cotton fabrics and blended fabrics, while random forest algorithms were not very accurate in estimating the breaking strength. © (2024), (Chamber of Textile Engineers). Influence of Ultrasonication and UV-C Processing on the Functional Characteristics and Anticarcinogenic Activity of Blackthorn Vinegar
In recent years, consumer trends have been changing toward fresh food products such as fruit juice, vinegar, etc. that are a good source of bioactive components, high nutritional characteristics, and beneficial microorganisms. Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa L.) vinegar (BV) is one of these nutritious foods. The study aims to examine the efficacy of ultraviolet-C (UV-C) light applied by a modified reactor and ultrasonication on bioactive compounds (total phenolic, total flavonoid, ascorbic acid content, and antioxidant activity) of traditionally produced BV. Furthermore, the volatile organic compound (VOC) profile, hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) content, cytotoxicity properties, and color were assessed. UV-C light and ultrasonication processes enriched most bioactive components, but these methods did not significantly improve ascorbic acid (p > 0.05) compared to pasteurization. Twenty-seven volatile compounds were analyzed in order to determine the VOC profile. As a result, thermal and nonthermal methods were found to affect the profile significantly (p < 0.05). No significant differences were detected in total soluble solids (4.70-4.77), titratable acidity (3.81-3.87), and pH (3.39-3.41) values. The anticarcinogenic activities of UV-C-treated BVs were more significant than others. Nonthermal treatments were generally better than pasteurization in maintaining and enriching the quality of BV. Investigation of structural, electrical and linear/non-linear optical properties of MgPc thin films grown by CSP technique for optoelectronic applications
Organic semiconductor MgPc thin films were grown onto n-Si, p-Si and corning glass substrates by Chemical Spray Pyrolysis (CSP) technique. The structural and surface morphological properties of MgPc thin films were investigated by XRD, RAMAN and FEG-SEM analysis. It was observed that the surface area on which MgPc thin films grow on n-Si and p-Si substrates were dendritic nanostructures and has homogeneous surface morphology. XRD patterns showed us that all organic semiconductor MgPc thin films have monoclinic alpha-phase structure with 2 theta peak at - 7.8 degrees which is 100%. X-ray diffraction and grain sizes measurements of MgPc thin films indicated that organic semiconductor MgPc thin films have nanocrystalline nature. We observed 25 Raman active peaks belonging to MgPc thin films. The diode parameters of p-MgPc/n-Si and p-MgPc/p-Si which are organic-inorganic hybrid heterojunctions have been investigated by current-voltage (I-V) measurements at room temperature in dark condition. The linear & non-linear optical properties of MgPc thin films growth on corning glass substrate were determined from transmittance and reflectance measurements. The optical bandgap of the organic MgPc semiconductor was found as 1.91 eV. The linear and nonlinear optical parameters of the organic MgPc thin film were investigated to determine the potential for use in optoelectronic applications
THE MAPH SCORE PREDICTS CORONARY SLOW FLOW. A RETROSPECTIVE CASE-CONTROLLED STUDY
Aim The MAPH score is a new score that combines mean platelet volume (MPV), hematocrit, and total protein, which are markers of whole blood viscosity (WBV). We aimed to investigate the relationship between the MAPH score and the coronary slow flow phenomenon (CSF). Material and methods A total of 201 patients were included in the study. 105 had CSF and 96 had normal coronary flow (NCF). Coronary flow was measured by the Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction frame count (TFC) method. The patients' MPV, age, hematocrit, and total protein were recorded. High (HSR) and low shear rates (LSR) were calculated, based on total protein and hematocrit values. Cut-off values for CSF were determined using the Youden's index, and the score was determined as 0 or 1 according to the cut-off values. The sum of these scores was the MAPH score. Results The mean age of the patients included in the study was 51.1 +/- 7.9 (n=201, 54.2 % male). Hyperlipidemia, DM, and HT rates of both groups were similar, but the mean age of the CSF group was higher (p=0.773; p=0.549; p=0.848; p <0.001, respectively). Total protein, MPV,hematocrit, HSR and LSR were higher in the CSF group (p< 0.001, for all values). Comparative receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that the performance of the MAPH score in predicting CSF is better than the performance of these parameters separately. Cabernet Franc (Vitis vinifera L.) Üzüm Çeşidinin Yaprak Alanı Özellikleri Üzerine Eğimdeki Konum, Farklı Anaç ve Salkım Seyreltme Uygulamalarının Etkisi
Amaç: Bu araştırma iki farklı anaca aşılanmış olan Cabernet Franc üzüm çeşidinin; eğimdeki konum ve salkım seyreltme uygulamalarına bağlı olarak yaprak su potansiyeli değişimleri ve yaprak özellikleri üzerine etkilerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla iki yıl süresince yürütülmüştür. Materyal ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada Tekirdağ-Şarköy ilçesi Ch Kalpak Vineyards’da bitkisel materyal olarak Cabernet Franc üzüm çeşidi; anaç olarak da Fercal ve 140 Ru anaçları kullanılmıştır. Dikim aralığı 2.1 m X 1.0 m ve asmaların gövde yüksekliği 70 cm’dir. Asmalar duvar sisteminde, tek kollu Kordon Royat terbiye şeklindedir. Parselin dikim yönü K-G olup, 309-327 m arası rakımda ve %18 eğime sahiptir. Bölünmüş Parsellerde Faktöriyel Deneme Deseninde kurulmuş olan araştırmadan alınan veriler JMP istatistik programı ile değerlendirilmiş ve varyans analizinden sonra LSD testi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma Bulguları: Araştırmada yaprak su potansiyelleri ölçülmüş ve yaprak alan özellikleriyle birlikte verim değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç: Cabernet Franc çeşidinde; YSP ölçümlerinin yapılması, su ihtiyacının belirlenmesi ve anaç, konum ve ürün yükü gibi faktörlere göre sulama yapılması, salkım seyreltme uygulamasının gereksinime göre yapılması ve verimin 800 kg da-1 altına düşürülmemesi önerilmiştir
MEETING THE ENERGY NEEDS OF POULTRY HOUSES WITH WIND TURBINE SYSTEM UNDER TEKİRDAĞ CONDITIONS AND ITS ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS
Türkiye has a favorable geographical location for renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. Accordingly, renewable energy sources can be used in the fast-growing bovine, ovine, and poultry farms that perform plant and animal production. Marmara Region is the leading production center of the Turkish poultry production industry. However, there are problems in maintaining environmental conditions in poultry houses. The fan-pad system plays an essential role in maintaining environmental conditions in the poultry houses. For this reason, the fan-pad system required for evaporative cooling in the poultry houses in Tekirdağ region was designed. The project was carried out in poultry houses with 6000 chickens and the dimension of the poultry house is 14 x 30 (420 m2). In the poultry house, a 16.8 m2 pad is needed for cooling, and a circulation pump with 0.2 kWh power is required for water circulation in the system. For mechanical ventilation, 11 units of aspirators with a diameter of 60 cm a power of 0.75 kWh, and a flow rate of 9500 m3h-1 will be sufficient for the system. For the ventilation and cooling system, an 8.45 kWh wind turbine system will supply the required energy. However, due to the variability of wind power, a turbine system larger than 8.45 kWh, such as 10 kWh, should be used. The cost of the cooling system planned with the wind turbine energy system reaches 35953 $. The use of wind turbine systems to generate electricity in agriculture will significantly reduce CO2 emissions to nature. In Tekirdağ conditions, 18250 kWh of electricity can be produced annually with a 10-kWh wind turbine system. With eco-friendly energy generation, it can play a major role in preventing climate change by avoiding the emission of 17155 kg of CO2 which is equivalent to the annual electricity production
Unlocking safety: Ultrasound's role in tracheostomy
Ultrasound imaging has become a valuable tool in Percutaneous Dilatational Tracheostomy (PDT), aiding in airway assessment and management. However, the risk of complications, including bleeding, highlights the importance of careful pre-procedural evaluation and management to ensure patient safety. A 75-year-old female with hypoxic encephalopathy required prolonged mechanical ventilation and was scheduled for PDT. Prior to the procedure, ultrasound identified two vascular structures anterior to the laryngotracheal region, prompting consultation with the ENT surgery department and cancellation of the procedure at the bedside. Subsequent tracheostomy in the operating room proceeded without incident
