Analysis of the ZnO/Cu2O and CdSe/Cu2O Thin Film Hetero-structure Electrode for Photo Electrochemical Solar Cell Applications
This paper proposes an economical route to the production of CdSe/Cu2O and ZnO/Cu2O based on commercial ZnO, CdSe corpuscle. The deposition of CdSe thin films was prepared by partial thermal oxidation method, Powder Vaporization method, and microwave oven method on the cleaned Cu2O substrate at room temperature. The solar cell fabrication process is greatly simplified by this method and opens a door in the direction of inexpensive techniques based on saleable available materials. The results show that the solar cell based on the mixture of CdSe/Cu2O has electron transportability, better light absorption, and a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 0.7 was obtained. These materials have been characterized using FTIR, at which numerous peaks are present in the sample, and were assessed in detail. Multiple current-voltage characteristic curves were plotted, An open-circuit voltage VOC, a short circuit current Isc, and the maximum power points Pmax were also noted. Contribution to the Study of the Effects of Quality Management "Involvement of personnel" on Organizational Performance in Moroccan Universities
The objective of this paper is to study the reliability and validity of the measurement scales as well as the effect of the variable staff involvement on the organizational performance of Moroccan public universities. The measures were constructed from a survey of 155 managers (Presidents, Deans, and General Secretaries), so the study consists of the verification of all the observations collected (71 questionnaires). The methodology adopted is based on the stages advocated by the Chrchill paradigm (1979). Our contribution focuses on the exploratory phase of the development of the scale allowing the emergence of a factorial structure of the theoretical organizational performance variable. After presenting the conceptualization of this construct, the article describes the procedures used to construct a multi-item scale for measuring organizational performance. The results reveal a factorial structure of the organizational performance perceived by the variable staff involvement with a total explained variance of 61.52%. The analysis of the reliability of the principal component scales shows that the items of each scale are correlated and consistent with each other with a reliability index (Cronbach's Alpha) of 75.7%. The same is true for the goodness of fit, which is very good at 72.6%
Implementation of Population Administration at the Malang Regency Population and Civil Registration Office, Indonesia
As a developing country, Indonesia is experiencing problems related to the large population with uneven distribution. In responding to issues related to people, the government tries to carry out an accurate population data collection. The management of population data collection is the responsibility of the city/district government, where the implementation starts from the village as the spearhead of population registration. When information and communication technology development was relatively rapid, the Population Administration Information System was formed, structured as an information system based on procedures and technology base. Every population event requires valid evidence for administration and recording. But in reality, not all residents feel the ease of accessing these services.
Another problem is the centralization of all population administration services, which are only carried out at the Office of Population and Civil Registration, causing crowded queues considering many visitors every day. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Resident Identity Card management service based on the Malang Regency Regional Regulation Number 13 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Population Administration at the Malang Regency Population and Civil Registration Office and the factors that support and hinder it. The method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The approach used is more subjective by collecting information through interviews. In implementing the Resident Identity Card management service at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Malang Regency, several administrative policy problems were found that were less flexible, including rotation of service officers and limitations of the internet network
Planning and Installation of 3.5 Megawatts Off grid Solar Hybrid Power Plant: A Case Study of the Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi, Nigeria
This report highlights the processes involved in the planning and installation of a 3.5 Megawatts solar hybrid power plant situated at the campus of the Joseph Sarwuan Tarka, University Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria. These processes include Photovoltaic (PV) cells installations, Inverter Installations, transformer installations, and the installation of string combiner boxes (SCBs). The Solar Hybrid Power plant installed is a hybrid power system that uses a combination of solar PV cells, batteries, and diesel-powered generators as energy sources to meet the energy need of the various load centers on the University campus. The solar PV cells array serves as the primary power source while the diesel-powered generators serve as the power backup. Since the project is a hybrid installation, it becomes necessary to synchronize the power sources to increase the efficiency of the power supply and reduced downtime.
The back-ups are the three Diesel-powered generators labeled (DG1, DG2, and DG3) and the Battery Banks labeled (BBR1, BBR2, BBR3). The secondary power source turns ON automatically when the primary power source fails. During the installation of the primary source, rigid flat framed PV modules made of Poly-Crystalline were used because of its temperature resistive advantage. Twenty (20) PV modules were wired together in series to form a table, two tables connected in parallel to form a String. The result shows that the power of each panel used was 330W while the output voltage varies between 37.5 to 40.5 Volts. The total voltage per table was between 736 to 823 volts during the day. The total number of PV modules installed at the site was 12,140. Three sets of diesel Generators, comprising of two 1 MVA capacity and a 1.5 MVA capacity, all terminated at their respective transformers. Their output voltage is 0.415 kV each, terminating at the Low Voltage (LV) side of their respective transformers. The transformer steps it up to 11kV to supply the High Tension (HT) panel.
The Minimum and Maximum PV power and load demand data obtained by the plant Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System within one year period after installation shows the Maximum and Minimum power at 2.5 MW and 1.75 MW, while the maximum and minimum load demand stood at 850 kW and 350 kW. The average daily power consumption stood highest at 900kW during weekdays and lowest at 200 kW during weekends.
Study of Authority Rights to Investigation the Status of Criminals with Mental Disorders in the Criminal Justice System
Currently, there are many criminal cases committed by a person who has a mental disorder. Among Law Enforcers, there are still frequent debates about who has the right to determine the status of a suspect in a state of mental illness, whether it is Police, Prosecutors, or the Judge. The problems in this: The Investigator's authority in stopping the investigation of criminals with mental disorders and criminal responsibility, and the authority to determine the status of criminals with mental disorders in the criminal justice system.
The type of research used in this thesis is normative juridical (legal research), statutory, conceptual, and qualitative descriptive analysis methods.
According to law, the Investigator's authority to stop the investigation of criminals who have mental disorders is legal. If the fact is obtained in the inquiry that the perpetrator cannot be held criminally responsible because he is mentally disturbed, then the subjective element has not been fulfilled. Criminal responsibility and the authority to determine the status of criminals who experience mental disorders should not only be judged. Police and prosecutors also have the power
Investigation of Genotoxic and Cytotoxic Effects of Hydrogen Peroxide: The Importance of DNA Repair in Oxidative Stress
Oxidative stress-induced reactive oxygen species induce DNA damages that may result in cell death and DNA mutations. In this study, a genotoxic and cytotoxic potential of hydrogen peroxide as a ROS generator, and the effect of cell repair of oxidative stress in TK6 cells were investigated by in vitro micronucleus assay. Cell repair was inhibited by using cytosine arabinoside. Cellular responses to different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide were evaluated by generating dose-response curves.
The incidence of increased MN concentrations due to increased H2O2 concentrations did not allow the identification of a plateau region. A similar curve pattern was also observed with the repair inhibited group. However, damage caused by H2O2 was significantly higher (p<0.001) in the cells with repair inhibition. This demonstrates the importance of DNA repair in the observation of oxidative stress. Proliferative indexes did not change due to increasing H2O2 concentrations in both groups. But the curve of repair inhibited cells was significantly higher (p<0.001) than the curve of repair efficient cells. BN and multinucleate cell counts showed decreases with increasing ROS levels generated by H2O2. But these decreases were not reflected in proliferative index scores. This may be due to H2O2-induced apoptosis, which results in the overestimation of PI values in increasing H2O2 concentrations
Study of Effect of Technological Change on the Performance of Commercial Banks in Nairobi County of Kenya
The use of technological breakthroughs has made it possible for organizations to operate more effectively and efficiently. In order to provide banking services to its consumers, Kenya's banking sector has implemented several technological developments. Automated Teller Machines, Agency Banking, Electronic Funds Transfers, Real-Time Gross Settlements, and Mobile Banking are examples of these innovations. The general objective of this study was to establish how technological change affects the performance of commercial banks in Nairobi County in Kenya. A descriptive research design was adopted in this study. All management persons or their equivalents in all branches of commercial banks in Nairobi County were the target respondent. All of the commercial banks have a total of 126 managerial personnel. Closed-ended questions were used to acquire primary data. The study instrument was pre-tested to guarantee its validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequencies and percentages. The study discovered that technological changes have an impact on commercial bank performance. The researcher also established that most product changes occur due to technological changes. There is, therefore, a need for technology to ensure the changes is sustained and is not wasted
An Overview of Complaints Handling in the Inspectorate Probolinggo Regency, Indonesia
The background of this research is because several problems occur in handling complaints within the Probolinggo Regency Inspectorate. There are still many obstacles in handling complaints where the average complaint handled is only around 50%. So that the handling of complaints cannot be evaluated optimally. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The informant selection method was purposive with data collection techniques, namely field research methods using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation, and library research. The research findings show that although the implementation mechanisms and procedures are already contained in several basic implementing regulations, there are still some obstacles in coordinating the implementation of handling public complaints services, namely, the parties or officials concerned are difficult to contact, coordinate with the Law Enforcement Apparatus (LEA) sometimes does not match the schedule and the time for each personnel is limited to coordinate with related parties. In addition, the means of promotion and information regarding public complaints services are still minimal, so not many people take advantage of these services. The lack of human resources also dramatically affects the quality and quantity of public protest services provided by the Probolinggo Regency Inspectorate
The Influence of Service Quality, Competence, Innovation and Competitive Advantage on Marketing Performance
This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality, competence, innovation and competitive advantage on marketing performance. The research population is the management of the Course and Training Institute (LKP) in Semarang Regency, while the sample using the purposive sampling method is taken with the criteria that it has been established for 3 years, accreditation is still valid, the organizational structure is still complete and the building is self-owned and obtained as many as 150 LKP respondents. The analysis technique uses regression analysis. The results show that the variables of service quality, innovation and competitive advantage have an effect on marketing performance, while the competence variable has no effect on marketing performance
Clustering, Classification, and Association Rule Mining for Educational Datasets
Understanding students/pupils within the context of school is the focus of the expanding research topic known as educational data mining. Prior to the adoption of data mining tools in student analysis, it was challenging to identify students who were at risk of failure. However, using educational data mining tools has made it straightforward to examine student performance on previous exams. It helps teachers understand the kind of children they are working with. This knowledge can assist teachers to tailor their lecture notes to each student's needs and help difficult students focus more throughout the class. In this study, 1428 newly admitted student records from a tertiary institution in Nigeria were examined. Decision trees, association rules, and K-means clustering techniques were used to analyze the data. The results showed that arts courses were primarily responsible for low scores, social science courses for average scores, and the high JAMB scores came from science courses. Additionally, students from the geopolitical zones of the South-East, South-South, and North-East performed better than those from the geopolitical zones of the North-West, North Central, and South-West. The students with the highest JAMB marks were those who offered Physics and had an English score of at least 70. Most males offered Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology while most females offered Economics, Government, CRS, and Literature in English. We highly recommend that Students who did not perform well should be given more attention and extra lessons/classes should be held for them to improve their grades in the various departments they were admitted
