Constraints Faced by the Farmers in Adaptation Activities in Response to Climate Change and their Suggestions to Minimize the Constraints
This paper examines the constraints faced by the farmers in adaptation activities in response to climate change and their suggestions to minimize the constraints. The investigation was carried out in all three districts of the North Konkan Zone i.e. Raigad, Thane and Palghar. Two tahasils from each district and five villages from each tahasil were randomly selected to conduct the study. Majority of the respondents reported ‘no information on weather forecast’ and irregularity of extension services’. More than sixty per cent (63.33 percent) respondents mentioned ‘lack of information about ill effects of climate change’ followed by ‘inadequate knowledge about recommended mitigation strategies’ and ‘lack of believe on current weather forecast system. Whereas, mitigating to climate change in agriculture as majority of the respondents suggested ‘need of weekly metrological data’, and demand ‘regular and effective extension services’, ‘proper advisory system on climate change’ followed by ‘awareness among the people about ill effects of climate change and its consequences’, and need ‘proper government policy support during natural calamities’
EFFECTIVENESS OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER METHODS AMONG CROP FARMERS IN EDE NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, OSUN STATE, NIGERIA
The study focus on effectiveness of agricultural technology transfer methods in Ede North Local Government Area, Osun State. Data was elicited from 79 respondents with the aid of interview schedule. The study established that almost all of the respondents indicated Agricultural Development Programme (ADP) as the main source of agricultural technology. Radio was the most ranked means of agricultural technology transfer methods used with of WMS of 1.87 while extension bulletin was ranked least (WMS=0.27). Herbicide was ranked first as the most utilized agricultural technology transferred while high cost of technology was indicated as a major constraint experienced by the respondents in accessing the technology transferred. The study shows there is significant relationship between the frequency of transfer methods by extension agent(r=0.266, p=0.018), radio(r=0.018, p=0.01), poster(r=0,472, p=0.000), handbill(r=0.283, p=0.012), newspaper(r=0.412, p=0.000), internet(r=0.409, p=0.000), social media (r=0.421, p=0.000) and effectiveness of the methods .The study concluded that radio, extension agent and television are the most effective in disseminating agricultural technologies to crop farmers. The study recommended that farmers should be encouraged to use hybrid seeds. Since it was ranked least by the crop farmers in the study area, this will enhance their productivity. 
Measurement of Agricultural Efficiency in Palakkad District, Kerala
Kerala is one of the highly densely populated states in India. Agriculture is the major source of livelihood of the Keralites. Agricultural sector contributes more than 75% of state’s domestic income. Agriculture and its allied activities hold an important position in state’s economy as it is one of the major source of foreign exchange of the state. Agricultural efficiency is the quality of taking the maximum out of the existing resources. It can be simply expressed by showing it as the quotient obtained by dividing output of a production unit by anyone of the factors of production. The area and production of crops in Kerala has resulted certain changes in the agricultural economy of the state over a period of time. The present study is an attempt to determine the agricultural efficiency of Palakkad district. To analyze agricultural efficiency, blocks have been taken as areal unit. Kendall’s (1939) formula has been used to determine the agricultural efficiency of Palakkad district. Maps have been prepared by using Arc Gis software 10.3 version
IMPACT OF BIOPHYSICAL CONDITIONS ON THE YIELD OF LEGUMES AND VARIETAL RESPONSE TO INPUT OF GROUNDNUT VARIETY (SAMNUT 24) IN AJINGI AND GAYA SAVANNA ZONE OF NIGERIA
Field experiments were conducted at Ajingi and Gaya operational areas of N2Africa both in Kano State, Nigeria for the impact of biophysical conditions on the yield of legumes and varietal response to input of groundnut variety (samnut 24) in Ajingi and Gaya savanna zone of Nigeria. The experiment comprised six (6) treatments, groundnut seeds Samnut 24 have been planted in each plot. Four (4) of the plots had received P fertilizer at the rate of 30kg P2 05/ha (Single Super Phosphate SSP), three (3) plots had received K in form of MOP at the rate of 20kg K20/ha while two (2) plots each had received micronutrients and organic manure. The remaining one plot had serve as control no input. The treatments were laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five replications. Application of all rates and combination of different of fertilizer produced statistically similar treatments effect per plot at both locations and combined. However, the study indicated that, application of combination of PK-MN-OM and PK-MN alone were statistically superior in Plant height, Number of branches, Canopy spread, Number of plant established and Days to maturity. There were statistically significant higher positive correlations between growth and yield components at both locations. Conclusively, the results of the study showed that, application of PK-MN-OM and PK-MN respectively were statistically superior to PK, P, OM and the control treatment. It is hereby recommended that, application of PKMN-OM and PK-MN should be adopted and phosphorus fertilizer at the rate of 30kg/ha, potassium 20kg/ha and 40kg/ha of organic manure. 
EFFECT OF GIBBERELLIC ACID PRE TREATMENTS ON GROWTH PARAMETERS OF WALNUT (Juglans regia L.)
Present investigation was carried out during the winter season at Horticulture Research block, Department of Horticulture, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. To investigate the effect of GA3 treatment on growth attributes and days taken for germination initiation of walnut. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications and twelve treatments. The treatments comprised following levels of GA3 concentrations viz. 500ppm, 1000ppm, 15000ppm and control in three different replications of Horticultural Research Block. Various observations regarding growth parameters such as leaf length, leaf width, shoot length, shoot width and numbers of days taken for germination initiation of walnut were recorded. The result revealed that treatment of GA3 1500ppm of nursery polybag application found to be beneficial for vegetative characters viz, found to be the most effective treatment for increasing leaf length, shoot length and shoot diameter. In another point of view, 1500ppm GA3 treatment in polyhouse was found to be profitable as compared to rest of treatments in terms of number of days taken for germination. Study of Socio-Economic Condition and Constraints faced by the Rice Growing Farmers in Adoption of Organic and Bio-Fertilizer in Bilaspur District of Chhattisgarh
The present study was conducted in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh to find out socio-economic condition and constraints faced by rice growing farmers in adoption of organic and bio-fertilizer. A total of 120 respondents were selected randomly for the present study. The data was collected through a pre-structured interview schedule and later appropriate statistical analysis was done to find out meaningful results. The result showed that there were eight main constraints perceived by the farmers which were complicated method of application, long process of organic fertilizer preparation, lack of knowledge about type and recommended doses, supply agency at long distance, lack of guidance from extension personal, organic and Biofertilizer are costly, lack of conviction about the merits of the practice and mishandling and poor quality of bio-fertilizer out of which mishandling and poor quality of bio-fertilizer with weighted mean score of 2.47 ranked I and Long process of organic fertilizer preparation with weighted mean score of 2.16 ranked II.  
Socio-Economic Status and Knowledge Level of Brinjal Growers on Improved Production Practices in East Champaran District of Bihar
: Brinjal has been considered as one of the important vegetable crop. Production and productivity of brinjal can be increased through adoption of new varieties and with improved technologies. The present study was conducted to understand the existing status of adoption of improved technology. This study was carried out in East Champaran district of Bihar during 2020-2021. By employing random sampling technique, 120 brinjal growers were selected and data were collected by personal interview method by using pre-tested interview schedule and later appropriate statistical analysis was done to find out the meaningful result. The results reported that majority of the respondents belonged to middle age (41.67%), educated to primary level of education (32.50%), possess land holding of below 1 ha (35%), earns medium level of annual income (45%), possess small family size (45%). Meanwhile, most of them had medium level of farm power (43.33%), membership in more than one organization (45%), low level of scientific orientation (51.67%), low level of extension contact (44.17%) and low level of progressiveness (52.50%). Meanwhile, most of them had medium level of knowledge on improved brinjal cultivation practices (64.17%) and had significant and positive association with age, education, farm power, social participation, extension contact, scientific orientation and progressiveness
KNOWLEDGE OF MUSTARD GROWERS TOWARDS IMPROVED CULTIVATION PRACTICES IN SIRSA DISTRICT OF HARYANA
Increasing living standard of people arises the need for increased production of oilseed in country. But per capita availability of oil is very low, thus to increase the production of oil seed the farmers should adopt the new technology. Meanwhile, the research gap should be identified and rectified to increase the production. Thus, the knowledge and adoption level of respondents was studied to understand the complexity of technology adoption. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. 120 respondents from six villages namely, Alanoor, Bhadra, Chamal, Dadu, Ffagu and Jamal of Sirsa block of Sirsa district in Haryana. The findings reported that majority of the respondents were middle aged, literate with middle school, had a land holding of 2.5-5 acres, nuclear family, agriculture as their major occupation along with service as their subsidiary occupation, medium level of annual income, had membership in more than one organization, medium level of risk orientation, medium level of knowledge, medium level of adoption

Bioremediation is a waste management technique that includes the use of living organisms to eradicate or neutralize pollutants from a contaminated site. Other processes use plants, earthworms and biochar to attenuate the toxicity of contaminants
Knowledge of Potato Growers About Improved Potato Production Technology in East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya
The study was conducted in East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya to measure the knowledge level of potato growers about improved production technology. A total number of 120 respondents were selected randomly from ten villages under Mylliem block because productivity, production and area under potato cultivation were found to be maximum. The data were collected by personnel interview method by using pre- tested interview schedule and later appropriate statistical analysis was done to find out the meaningful results. The findings of the study revealed that majority (61.67%) of the respondents belonged to the middle- aged group, 67.50 per cent of the respondents mainly depended on agriculture as their main occupation and 47.50 per cent of the respondents had an educational attainment up to primary level. The findings also revealed that majority (50.83%) of the respondents had medium level of knowledge towards improved potato production technology followed by 30% and 19.17% of the respondents with low and high levels of knowledge respectively
