    Elements of Allusion in Urdu Poetry

    To limit the language to mere a conglomeration of words is notsufficient rather to call it the specific words which sustain culturaland civilizational bond with its society. As Language, through poetry, carries more potentialities to create and infuse lasting impact, that is why, minute attributes of language emerge out more prominently. Poetry cannot be judged by doing away with civilization. The poetic roots of urdu language, which come in the category of Allusion (Talmeehat), are deep-rooted in its history and civilization. The term allusion is a part of human awarenesswhich has its own civilizational symbols. Talmeehat involves time and space like vastness. An innovative world of modern trends in urdu poetry is witnessed at the end of classical phase and at the beginning of the twentieth century. Urdu Poetry remained progressive towards its heights. Accepting historical incidents as key source, novel meanings and possibilities have been sought. That is why, poets have given them the shape of symbols and Talmeeh and very aptly, so made them the part of poetical experiences

    Literature is an appropriate mode for expression of thought andvision. Poetry is its most impressive and effective form of  communication. It is the most beautiful and sensitive source to expresses the feelings, mood and experiences of the poet. In the literary sense the Ghazal is meant for romance and to project glamour of the feminine. The Ghazal emerged from the "tashbib" of the Arabic qasidah. In the beginning of Islam in Iran, the Islamic Arabic civilization and literature, penetrated Persian poetry. In Persian literature the Ghazal was introduced by a poet "Roodki" in the period of Samani. Roodki was also commended by a renowned poet "Unsri" in the era of Mehmood Ghaznvi. However this was the earlier period of qasidah. The Persian literature had a remarkable influence on Urdu Ghazal. Urdu Ghazal owes its thought, mood of expression, formation, theme, canvas, from Persian literature i.e the Ghazal. That is why the great poet like Mirza Ghalib felt proud of his Persian poetry and preferred it to his Urdu poetry

Besides it we all pass through several zones of silences. Sensitive poets take their subjects even out of these zones and because of their strangeness they often escape the consciousness of common readers. Iftikhar Jalib the pioneer of New Poetry Movement in Urdu was fond of entering into the zones of new unnoticed silences and noises. When he brought his new subjects in the realm his poetry common Urdu poetry readers faced problem of none communication. Qadeem Banjar is his long poem. In it he depicted his experiences in new formative modes of Urdu poetry. This poem needs thorough critical examination. The scribe of this article has tried to give a meaningful explanation of the method used by the poet in this poem
