Research on dynamic characteristics of wind turbine’s transmission system considering gear tooth lubrication
To improve wind turbines’ reliability and lifespan, taking the two-stage fixed shaft gearbox of wind turbines as study object. The oil stiffness and meshing stiffness of the transmission system are calculated, and the composite stiffness is obtained with the consideration of lubricating film. Then analyzed the dynamic characteristics of wind turbines’ transmission system before and after consider the oil stiffness in different operating conditions. The findings indicate that after considering the gear lubrication effect, the composite stiffness gradually decreases as rotational speed increase; within a certain rotational speed range, the tooth-surface load can be reduced, making the system run more smoothly. Therefore, the presence of oil film and its impact on its stiffness cannot be ignored. This study has certain guiding significance in improving the transmission efficiency and reducing noise of wind turbines
On the decisional problem based on matrix power function defined over non-commutative group
In this paper, we perform statistical analysis for the decisional problem which is fundamental for the security of the key exchange protocol based on matrix power function. We have proven previously that the considered decisional problem is NP-complete and hence our proposal could potentially be quantum-safe. However, we did not explore the dependence of the complexity of the considered problem on the security parameters. Here we show that for small matrices certain information could be gained from the distribution of the entries of the public key matrices. On the other hand, we show that as the size of the matrices grows, the public key matrices are indistinguishable from truly random matrices
Assessing environmental influences on radon levels: analysis of independent variables
Regression analysis is essential for prediction analysis and variable identification since air pollution studies are complicated by competing suggestions and require careful interpretation. In the existing predictive analysis, estimating indoor radon levels is challenging due to multicollinearity issues and the existing algorithm's assumption of independent predictor variables, making it difficult to accurately assess individual effects. Hence a novel Unsupervised Bayesian Multiple Regression Analysis is used to correctly offer the specific impacts of each predictor variable by taking the complex interactions between factors in the estimation of indoor radon levels. Furthermore, in the variable identification, indoor radon levels are influenced by complex residual distributions, with existing algorithms failing to predict non-Gaussian residuals due to outlier-sensitive least squares estimation. So a novel Quadratic Discriminant Extreme Learning Machine is implemented to overcome this issue, which creates models that are better able to reliably detect the factors driving indoor radon levels and are more robust to non-Gaussian residual distributions. The proposed method demonstrates excellence in predictive analysis and variable identification achieving high coefficient of relation and low MAE
Visual reconstruction method of architectural space under laser point cloud big data
In order to solve the problem that the reconstruction accuracy and integrity are affected due to the large amount of point cloud data in the process of building space reconstruction, the visual reconstruction method of building space under laser point cloud big data is studied. The three-dimensional laser scanner is used to collect the laser point cloud big data in the building space, and the laser point cloud big data is organized and processed through three steps: hierarchical calculation of the point cloud pyramid, thinning treatment and block treatment. From the processing results of laser point cloud big data, the line features of building space are extracted based on the improved Mean-shift method, and the continuous broken lines in the point cloud data of building space are extracted by using the double radius threshold line tracing method. According to the feature extraction results of point cloud data in building space, the visual reconstruction of building space is completed through the process of translation matching and space matching. The experimental results show that this method can realize the visual reconstruction of architectural space, and the average reconstruction accuracy is higher than that of 97 %, and the reconstruction completion and smoothness are higher than 95 %
Use of hyperboloid as an adjunct in functional jaw orthopedics – case report
Anterior open bite can be defined as a malocclusion with a negative vertical discrepancy between the incisal edges of the upper and lower anterior teeth, which do not have occlusal contacts with the antagonists and sometimes extends to the canines and, less frequently, to the premolars is one of the malocclusions with the greatest aesthetic and/or functional impairment. Anterior open bite can have several etiologies: finger sucking and/or pacifier, oral breathing, onychophagia, lip interposition, atypical swallowing, tongue interposition when uttering phonemes and anterior posture of the tongue at rest. Orofacial myofunctional disorders are present in cases of anterior open bite, generally associated with etiologies and adapt to this altered morphological condition. Regarding the anterior opening amplitude, the anterior open bite is classified as: minimum up to 1 mm, moderate between 1 and 5 mm and severe +5 mm [1]. Open bite can be classified into: maxillary, mandibular and hybrid open bite [2]. Myofunctional therapy is considered a treatment method that can increase muscle strength, cause changes in functional patterns and thus prevent deviations in craniofacial development, as it promotes new posture of structures at rest and during the performance of the functions of the stomatognathic system [3]. The hyperboloid is an instrument for increasing muscle tone and when used in chewing, it is efficient in inducing growth and remodeling. The hyperboloid fills a gap in the modern diet, with the consistency of hard, raw and dry foods [4]. Exercises with a size M hyperboloid with wire were prescribed as an initial approach. After 2 months of treatment, there was an improvement in the interincisor distance. The exercise was maintained for another 5 months. He stopped attending appointments for 2 years and 2 months. Upon his return, the results of the functional examination of swallowing, chewing, protrusion and laterality were observed, and we opted for the installation of the SN3. the hyperboloid, in this case, showed its efficiency in balancing the stomatognathic system
Mayfly optimization algorithm: a review
This paper gives a review on the bio-inspired optimization methodology known as mayfly (MA) algorithm in order to resolve issues in optimization techniques. It is a newly formed meta-heuristic optimization algorithm that focuses on the movements of masculine and feminine mayflies. It is encouraged from flying behaviour also the methods of mating in mayflies. With the help of a realistic-world separate flow planning issue along with the coupling behaviour in numerous objective optimizations, the performance of the mayfly algorithm (MA) is well evaluated. Some of the implementations of this algorithm are discussed in this paper: Bearing fault diagnosis based on the mayfly algorithm, optimizing the performance of PEMFC, Covid diagnosis, wind speed optimization, improving the scheduling of solar wind speed using mayfly optimization, detecting fault in the wind turbine gearboxes, patterning in the array antennas with the help of optimization and so on .One of the main advantages of the MA is that it combines the other optimization algorithms namely swarm optimization (PSO) with the evolutionary optimizations (GA). The motion of the mayflies that resemble nuptial dance model along with the arbitrary flight helps in the improvement of the stability within the exploration and exploitation methods. In addition, allows escape from the community peak. All the above work reviewed shows promising results from the algorithm. More work can be carried out using this algorithm in future
Determinated area (DA) treatment goal when treating malocclusions with jaw functional orthopedics (JFO): Contribution to scientific evidence
One of the goals of malocclusion treatment with Jaw Functional Orthopedics (JFO) is to obtain touch of the inferior incisors against the superior incisors in Determinate Area (DA). It is postulated that this touch would bring better stimuli and consequently faster results. Surface electromyographic study of the muscles was performed in Masseter, Temporal and suprahyoid muscles bilaterally from 159 patients undergoing malocclusion treatment with functional orthopedic appliances (FOA). To record muscle electric activity were used a conditioning signal module from Lynx Electronics Ltda with 8 channels, model EMG1000; software AqDAnalysis 4,18 from Lynx Electronics Ltda.; Software Lynx BioInspector 1,8r; passive surface electrodes (Ag/AgCl) from Noraxon Dual Electrodes (USA); dischargeable reference electrodes Kendall Meditrace (Ag/AgCl) – Canada. Frequency calibration was 2000 Hz, with 2048 sample by channel and time 1,024 seconds, and filters regulation was 20 Hz and 1000 Hz. The results found prove that there is a better electromyographic activity (bilaterally balanced) of the studied muscles when there is touch on DA. Conclusion. Touch in DA improves the neuromuscular response of patients treated with JFO. sEMG is a trustable tool to analyze masticatory muscles function for Diagnosis, Treatment and evaluation post treatment/gained objective
Analysis and optimization of abnormal noise in lubricating oil circuit of diesel engine
Engine abnormal noise is one of the common engine faults, which will affect the comfort, power and safety of the automobile at the same time. In order to study the abnormal noise existing in the test process of diesel engine lubricating oil circuit system, 1D numerical simulation analysis of its flow field is carried out by using simulation software GT-power to verify the boundary conditions of the model and analyze the fluctuation of pressure at different speeds and temperatures. Through numerical analysis, it is found that there is almost no pressure fluctuation in the lubrication system before the pressure limiting valve is opened, but after the pressure limiting valve is opened, pressure fluctuation occurs in the pipeline, and the pressure fluctuation is different at different positions. Finally, the lubrication pipeline is simulated and analyzed by Pumplinx software, and the pressure fluctuation in the lubrication pipeline of diesel engine is reduced by optimizing the diameter of the oil pipeline and increasing the cavity structure
The CCS greensand project: CO2 pilot injection and monitoring
Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is a proven, safe, reliable and affordable technology. CCS entails the capture of CO2 (e.g. from power plants or industrial facilities) as well as its long-term storage in subsurface geological structures, such as depleted gas and oil reservoirs or deep-lying rock strata known as saline aquifers. This technology enables the reliable and cost-effective decarbonisation of industrial sectors with CO2 emissions that are difficult or impossible to avoid. The International Energy Agency (IEA) and other leading organisations believe that CCS will play a key role in climate protection efforts and emphasising that ambitious climate targets cannot be achieved without CCS. In February 2023 INEOS Energy Denmark (Op.), Wintershall Dea and Nordseafonden (Danish State Participation) have been awarded the first Carbon Storage Exploration License (Iris) that covers the Siri oil fairway, a depleting oil production infrastructure hub, offshore Denmark. As part of the License work program it is planned to submit a Storage License Application by February 2024 to commission the first CO2 permanent storage facility in Denmark by 2025. Initial research studies to convert the depleted oil field Nini West, one of many oil segments in the Siri Fairway, into a permanent CO2 storage site started already in 2020 and is called Project Greensand Phase 1 and Phase 2, co-funded by the Danish Energy Development and Demonstration Programme (EUDP). Project Greensand Phase 2 is a large and comprehensive research and pilot project, consisting of 13 work packages and 120 individual tasks that are worked through by a consortium of 23 research partners, led by INEOS Energy Denmark, with altogether some hundreds of researchers and contributors involved. The project scopes are aiming to de-risk and specify all aspects related to carbon storage in the Nini West segment and to provide key documents ready for submission to the Danish mining authorities. Wintershall Dea is key partner in the research consortium, contributing to all work packages and is leading the monitoring related research scopes. The Greensand project has cleared a first major hurdle in fall 2020 with the independent 3rd Party certification of the Nini West reservoir as a feasible CO2 storage. This certification confirms that the reservoir is conceptually suitable for injecting 0.45 million tonnes CO2 per year per well for a period up to 10-years and that it can safely contain the CO2 injected. In August 2021, the consortium moved ahead to the pilot phase. The pilot's first offshore injection was successfully conducted in winter 2022/2023 by injecting 4.000 tons of CO2 into the depleted Nini West oil field and demonstrating the full value chain across international borders. This operation lasted 90 days and included 7 shipments of CO2 to the Nini site. The CO2 was captured and liquified in a chemical plant in Antwerp and loaded into 40 ISO-tanks that were mounted and piped together to an installed rack on a conventional coastal carrier. This low cost custom made transport concept successfully demonstrated temporary carrier solutions for CO2 shipments until dedicated low-emission CO2 cargo ships have been designed and constructed. The pilot injection was accompanied by a focused seismic monitoring program. Despite unfavorable weather conditions one baseline and two monitor seismic acquisitions have been successfully completed as part of Project Greensand to monitor the CO2 plume migration more frequently and with less impact on the environment [1, 2, 3]. The seismic data has been retrieved, processed and analyzed. Based on the results it is possible to detect the CO2 presence inside the reservoir [4, 5]. Prior to injection a dynamic simulation provided results on the expected areal coverage of the CO2 plume. A pattern of 7 spots was planned to detect the presence of the CO2 with our novel focused seismic concept. Some locations were expected to show an effect caused by the CO2 plume, some spots should confirm the absence of CO2. After processing of the monitoring spot gathers and evaluation of the difference traces, a qualitative result was provided for the individual spots. All spots were targeted more than once by different source and receiver locations to get a confirmation from measurements at different offsets and/or azimuths. A strong positive response can be seen directly at the injection location, a medium amplitude response for an up-dip spot towards north-east. All other spots do not show presence of CO2 in their spot seismic monitoring results as predicted by dynamic simulation. This spot seismic method has the potential to replace 4D seismic for CO2 plume monitoring and verification during the full field injection and post injection phases and could thus significantly reduce cost and environmental impact. Further, the partners in the Greensand research consortium of monitoring scopes are developing sea floor sensors [6] that are able to detect and record CO2 leakage and seismicity. These sensors will be connected to a power and data hub offshore to ensure data communication in real time. For INEOS Energy and Wintershall Dea, Greensand is a pioneering CCS project as it ranks among the most advanced CCS projects in EU. Beyond the Nini West storage complex, work is ongoing to mature the remaining depleted oil field and aquifer potential in the Siri Fairway with the view to expand the capacity to up to 8 MTA until 2030. The entire CCS value chain (capture, transport, and storage) will be implemented across borders
Six-DOF modular robotic arm bearing chatter suppression algorithm
Robotic arms are frequently utilized in contemporary industrial production since they offer great qualities like high precision and low mass. How to minimize robotic arm tremors in order to maximize their control effect has emerged as one of the most critical issues to be resolved with the continued development of industrial intelligence. The study uses a combination of PID control and an artificial fish swarm technique to optimize the parameters and confirm the simulation control effect based on the kinematic analysis of a six-degree-of-freedom (Six-DOF) modular robotic arm. The findings demonstrated that the suggested fusion approach converges to zero in 80 iterations and has a recall of 0.893 and 0.785 at an accuracy of 0.8 and 0.9, respectively. The robotic arm control system’s average control effect is 42.96 %, which is a respectable control performance. In the second and third studies, the fusion approach stabilized actuator end tremor suppression after 0.01 s and 0.0001 s, respectively. It shows that the technique can effectively suppress robotic arm bearing tremor and has high flexibility for robotic arm tremor suppression, which offers trustworthy technological support for improving the motion control system of industrial robots
