Vibration technology to produce highly active hydrated lime

    Get PDF
This paper proposes a mechanical dispersion method of hydrated lime in a vibrating activator equipped with special blades that operate in a resonant mode. It has been found that during the vibro-activation process, hydrated lime consistently passes through proportionately increasing stages of dynamic viscosity, slowing its growth and ceasing dispersion. A new vibration method for determining the viscosity of the hydrated lime-water system has been developed. The effect of vibration treatment on changes in the dispersion of calcium hydroxide was studied. It has been found that vibration-treated lime, compared to conventional hydrated lime, has new properties: the ability to form durable coatings due to accelerated carbonization

Problems of rutting on asphalt pavements

    Get PDF
In the article, under field conditions (on the lane of a city road for public transport), using modeling and traffic flow analysis methods, the formation of ruts on an asphalt concrete pavement is studied. The maximum total rut depth on the road section under consideration reaches 110 mm. 715 buses and 25 trucks pass along a separate lane of the road per day, the relative rutting impact of which is from 5.68 to 16.41 compared to the design vehicle. The design of the road pavement on the experimental section with a total thickness of 48 cm is too weak for the actual traffic flow, which was the main reason for the premature failure of the road due to unacceptable rut sizes on the asphalt concrete pavement

Multi-factor coupled thermal simulation of flat-panel digital PCR structure

    Get PDF
To achieve uniform reaction temperature in flat-plate digital polymerase chain reaction (dPCR), we propose a multi-factor coupled thermal simulation method for the structure of flat-plate digital PCR using finite element analysis. This will help us obtain the optimal method for the structure of flat-plate dPCR. Thermal simulations were conducted to analyze the effects of forced air cooling, thermoelectric cooler (TEC) arrangement spacing, and heat-conducting plate thickness on the temperature uniformity of the flat-plate dPCR. The resulting isothermal surfaces and velocity magnitude vectors were used to summarize the impact of each factor. The study found that maintaining a mechanical fan speed of 3000 revolutions per minute (RPM) ±10 % during the heating period resulted in a 29.3 % reduction in the standard deviation of the temperature on the surface of the heat-conducting plate. Additionally, when the TEC spacing was between 2 mm and 3.5 mm, the standard deviation of the temperature on the plate's surface decreased by 87.1 % to 93.4 %. When the thickness of the thermal plate ranges from 3.5 mm to 4.5 mm, the standard deviation of the temperature on the surface of the thermal plate varies by approximately 0.006. The experimental results, obtained by sampling and analyzing the temperature on the surface of the thermal plate, are consistent with the simulation results. This proves that the method is informative in determining the structural parameters of the dPCR to enhance temperature uniformity

Modal analysis of key components of crusher based on digital simulation technology

    Get PDF
The modal characteristics of the crusher rotor and shell constitute the crucial factors influencing vibration and noise. Based on the principle of simplification, the rotor component model was established. Through mesh optimization, the model accuracy and calculation efficiency can be ensured, and the calculation of natural frequency and modal shapes was completed based on ANSYS. To verify the accuracy of the finite element model, the modal test was carried out by the hammering method. Sensors were set in three different directions to obtain the frequency response function and the modal assurance criterion matrix mode confidence criterion. Using the same research method, the modal characteristics of the shell model were simulated and analyzed. The research results show that the modal parameters identified by the modal test are basically consistent with the simulation model. The natural frequencies of the rotor and the shell are quite different from the excitation frequency of the motor, and resonance problems will not occur when the crusher is proper functioning

Dynamics analysis and collaborative optimization of vehicle steering mechanism

    Get PDF
In order to improve the dynamic response characteristics of the steering mechanism, a research scheme for increasing the natural frequency based on lightweight design was proposed. Based on the finite element method and the collaborative optimization method, the modal characteristics and harmonic response characteristics of the model were studied and analyzed to verify the strength and stiffness performance of the optimized structure. The modal shapes between the free mode and the constrained mode were compared and analyzed. With the second-order natural frequency as the optimization objective, the response surface function of the equivalent stiffness was constructed. Through optimization calculation, the design variables that satisfy the constraint conditions can be obtained. The results show that the optimized structure can increase the second-order natural frequency by 14.4 % on the premise of reducing the mass by 5.2 %, effectively avoiding the excitation frequency of the engine

Experimental and performance analysis of carbon/carbon bolt

    Get PDF
In this paper, the mechanical properties of C/C composite bolts at normal temperature are studied. The strength performance of bolts under different load conditions of tension and shear is tested, which shows that they have different failure modes. It is concluded that the strength performance and failure mode of C/C bolts are directly related to the structural size and the braiding characteristic of the bolt. This can provide a basis for the optimal design of C/C bolts

Binary rat swarm optimizer algorithm for computing independent domination metric dimension problem

    Get PDF
In this article, we look at the NP-hard problem of determining the minimum independent domination metric dimension of graphs. A vertex set B of a connected graph G(V,E) resolves G if every vertex of G is uniquely recognized by its vector of distances to the vertices in B. If there are no neighboring vertices in a resolving set B of G, then B is independent. Every vertex of G that does not belong to B must be a neighbor of at least one vertex in B for a resolving set to be dominant. The metric dimension of G, independent metric dimension of G, and independent dominant metric dimension of G are, respectively, the cardinality of the smallest resolving set of G, the minimal independent resolving set, and the minimal independent domination resolving set. We propose the first attempt to use a binary version of the Rat Swarm Optimizer Algorithm (BRSOA) to heuristically calculate the smallest independent dominant resolving set of graphs. The search agent of BRSOA are binary-encoded and used to identify which one of the vertices of the graph belongs to the independent domination resolving set. The feasibility is enforced by repairing search agent such that an additional vertex created from vertices of G is added to B, and this repairing process is repeated until B becomes the independent domination resolving set. Using theoretically computed graph findings and comparisons to competing methods, the proposed BRSOA is put to the test. BRSOA surpasses the binary Grey Wolf Optimizer (BGWO), the binary Particle Swarm Optimizer (BPSO), the binary Whale Optimizer (BWOA), the binary Gravitational Search Algorithm (BGSA), and the binary Moth-Flame Optimization (BMFO), according to computational results and their analysis

Constructing the schematic and mathematical model of the dynamics of a vibratory drum separator

    Get PDF
A structural diagram of a vibratory drum separator has been developed, and based on it, a mathematical model of the separator’s oscillatory motion has been constructed. The mathematical model was built using nonlinear mechanics methods and Lagrange equations. The obtained dependencies allow for determining the influence of geometric and physico-mechanical parameters on various factors affecting the intensity of the separation process. The research results should be used both at the design stages of vibratory separators and when selecting their parameters and operational modes

Mathematical modeling of the possibility of creating interresonance discrete-continuous vibration technological equipment without a spring

    Get PDF
In the article is implemented interresonance mechanical oscillating system vibrational technological equipment, which provides using two continuous of connected area successively to working body vibrational machines. Disturbance of the structure is carried out by applying a variable-sign power supply voltage to the reactive continuous section, where in interaction with the magnetic field from the permanent magnets, a variable-sign disturbance force occurs. Inertial forces from the reactive continuous section are transferred to the intermediate continuous section, which resonates with the working body. In fact, an interresonance discrete-continuous oscillating system is obtained in which there are no springs. The function of springs is performed by bodies with distributed parameters that have elastic properties. Based on the Krylov-Duncan functions, a system of equations was formed that establishes the amplitude of oscillations of the working body. The amplitude-frequency characteristic of the discrete-continuous system was studied, which confirms the possibility of creating interresonance oscillating systems of vibrating technological equipment without springs

    Get PDF
In order to analyze the impact of the new pier bearing platform construction on the bridge section adjacent to the high-speed railway line, a new pier bearing platform project adjacent to the high-speed railway line in the soft soil area of the Yangtze River Delta is taken as the background of the project, and the finite element software Plaxis 3D is used to study the impact of the pier bearing platform construction on the bridge section adjacent to the high-speed railway line, and to analyze the effect of distance on the horizontal displacement and settlement of the bridge foundation soil body. The neighboring high-speed rail line bridge is displaced horizontally toward the foundation, with the maximum horizontal displacement of 1.5 mm and the maximum settlement of 5.5 mm; the existing pier bearing platforms are also displaced in the same direction, with the maximum horizontal displacement of 2.7 mm and the maximum settlement of 5.4 mm, and the pier bearing platforms in the middle are affected the most
