Vibration and control research of pipe penetration piece
The concealment capability of submarine is seriously restricted by the vibration of pipe penetration piece which is an important obstacle to the development of ‘quiet submarine’. In this paper, the characteristics and structures of pipe penetration piece are analyzed. Combining with domestic and foreign achievements, the active and passive methods of piping vibration reduction were introduced, and the measures of piping vibration isolation were elaborated. It provides reference for the vibration control of pipe penetration piece
The use of decision trees for applying the method of analogy with the cognitive design of complex dynamical systems
Modern intelligent methods to extract knowledge from data allow the use of the available material for evaluation of the complexity of parts of different class, identify any patterns in the data and, thus, replace expert – technologist (quantity surveyor). In the analysis of pre-production, it is also advisable to go by the time required to manufacture the product to the price tag. Method of analogy is based on solving the dynamic problems of classification trees using algorithms solutions
Non-linear dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete bridge columns under vehicle impact loadings
A 3D nonlinear impact analysis was performed for reinforced concrete bridge columns under truck impact loadings. Three different boundary conditions were considered to investigate the effect of superstructures on the integral column during impact. Fixed bottom conditions and restraints in the loading direction at the top of the column (Model I) showed the largest damaged area. The dominant failure mode of the column was shear. However, Model II, which is equivalent to Model I with the top released, showed less damage, and the dominant failure modes were flexure rather than shear. In Model III, in which the effect of featured the superstructure was considered, the shear and flexural damage to the column were reduced due to the movement of the superstructures
Noise subspaces subtraction in SVD based on the difference of variance values
As a matrix decomposition method, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) is introduced to signal processing such as denoising. Firstly, a polluted signal is constructed in Hankel matrix form, and then through SVD the Hankel matrix is decomposed to two unitary matrices and a diagonal matrix in which a series of singular values are arranged in a descending order. These singular values are considered to be located in a series of subspaces including signal subspaces and noise subspaces. The singular values in these subspaces are different because the signal magnitudes dominate noise magnitudes. Therefore, if these two kinds of subspaces are well separated, an ideal denoised signal could be achieved by reconstruction. This paper improves the traditional SVD denoising which merely does well in processing periodic signals’ subspaces separation. The improved SVD denoising method based on variance value extends SVD denoising to aperiodic signal denoising. The denoising results by improved SVD denoising, traditional SVD denoising, wavelet thresholding and EEMD denoising are compared and the improved SVD denoising method received an excellent numerical experimental effects
Free vibration analysis of tapered columns under self-weight using pseudospectral method
This paper deals with the vibration of tapered column which is affected by gravity using a pseudospectral formulation. The formulation is simple and easy-to-implement and is capable of dealing with different end conditions. Numerical examples of the effects of taper, cross section shapes and gravity on the vibration of columns are illustrated. The effectiveness of the pseudospectral method for vibration analysis of tapered heavy columns is validated by comparing the results with numerical techniques such as the numerical initial value method and differential quadrature method
Research on measuring method of the angular displacement of muzzle vibration
The angular displacement of the muzzle vibration has importance influence on the firing dispersion of gun. In order to solve the measuring problem on the angular displacement of the muzzle vibration in firing environment, a kind of measuring method of the angular displacement of the muzzle vibration based on the laser and the triangle principle was presented, and its measuring system was developed. The laser beam was sent by a laser. After the laser beam was reflected by a reflector on muzzle, the reflective beam was received by the position sensitive detector (PSD). Combining the optical distance parameter and the triangle relation, the angular displacement of the muzzle vibration could be obtained. The measuring error analysis of the system and the verification of the firing environment in shooting range were made. The performances of the measuring system were that the measuring range of the angular displacement was ±35', its angle resolution was 0.1', its relative errors under the different illumination conditions were less than 2 %. The measuring system can meet the needs of the gun measurement
Research on static and dynamic characteristics of a compound bearing with tilting pads and rolling bearing
According to the high stiffness requirement of bearings on spindle systems of precision machine tools, a kind of compound bearing composed of tilting pads and rolling bearing is proposed in this paper. In the start and stop process, the weight of rotor parts is borne by the rolling bearing, and the tilting pads avoid wear. When the spindle is reaching a certain speed, the rolling elements is disengaged from the outer ring of the rolling bearing, and the load is carried by the tilting pad bearing alone. The pivot position of the tilting pads can be defined by two characteristic parameters: Radial Pivot Position Coefficient (RPPC) and Circumferential Pivot Position Coefficient (CPPC). The influence laws of the pivot position parameters on the performance of compound bearing are synthetically analyzed. The results show that the stiffness of compound bearing can be effectively improved by proper design of the two pivot position parameters. The theoretical researches on this new compound bearing in this paper provide reference for bearing design of high stiffness spindle system
Influence of web plate holes on the radiation noise characteristics of wheels of the high speed train
The finite element model of wheels without holes was established to compute its free modal and compare with the experimental result. The relative error was controlled within 5 %, which indicated that the finite element model in this paper was reliable. Based on the finite element and geometric model, the acoustic boundary element model of wheels was established to compute the radiation noise of wheels under the action of radial and normal excitation forces. Results showed that the change trend and value of radiation noises of wheels were similar under the action of two kinds of excitation forces when the analyzed frequency was lower than 1421 Hz. However, the radiation noise of wheels under the action of two kinds of excitation forces was significantly different and presented obvious directivity in three planes with the increase of the analyzed frequency. Then, models of wheels with 5, 6, 9 and ellipse holes were established to compute radiation noises and conduct comparative analysis. Results showed that the radiation noise of wheels with 6 holes was relatively minimum under radial and normal excitations and did not decrease with the increase of the hole number. The radiation noise of wheels with circular holes made certain improvement, compared with the radiation noise of wheels with ellipse holes. Distribution curves for the directivity of radiation noises of various wheels were highly symmetrical in the Z plane and radiation noises had relatively maximum in the position of multiples of 30°. The curve for the directivity of radiation noises of wheels with 5 holes was clearly different from that of other structures in the Y plane
Dynamic characteristic analysis of a roller bearing rotor system
In order to study the dynamic characteristics of a rotor system incorporated with roller bearings, a detailed finite element model of the rotor system was established. Both the roller bearings and pedestals were considered. Then investigations on dynamic characteristics of the rotor system were conducted, in which critical speeds and unbalance response of the rotor system were obtained and analyzed. Following conclusions can be reached from the numerical results: 1) the second and third critical speeds of the rotor system are 25260 rpm and 113400 rpm, both of which are outside of the operating speed range 31800 rpm-55320 rpm. 2) Within the operating speed range 31800 rpm-55320 rpm, unbalance response of both the centrifugal impeller and the turbine disk are smaller than the corresponding clearances. However, with increasing rotational speed, amplitude of the unbalance response for the centrifugal impeller increases while that of the turbine disk decreases
Planetary gearbox fault diagnosis based on pseudo-fault signal assisted EMD
Pseudo-fault signal assisted empirical mode decomposition (PFS-EMD) is put forward for fault detection and isolation, which is built upon EMD, envelope analysis and pseudo-fault signal. And this method has been proved that it is usable in fault diagnosis of simple gear pair. However, this method is still need further study that whether it can be used for fault diagnosis of complex gearbox. Moreover, planetary gearbox fault diagnosis is much more complicated than fixed-axis gearbox. This paper makes a further study of PFS-EMD and focuses on its application. Combining with the seeded failure experimental data of planetary gearbox, this paper show that PFS-EMD can enhance fault information and weaken other useless information in complex gearbox fault diagnosis
