Estimation of vehicle state based on maximum correntropy square-root cubature Kalman Filter
State estimation of a vehicle is an important direction under the research branch of automotive dynamics, with the aim of determining state variables that reflect vehicle handling stability and other characteristics. In order to solve the problem of poor estimation accuracy caused by heavy tailed non Gaussian noise in traditional state estimation methods, a new filtering algorithm based on the Maximum Correlation Entropy criterion (MCC) and the Square-root Cubature Kalman Filter (MCSCKF) is proposed. On the basis of establishing a nonlinear 3-DOF vehicle model, the yaw rate and the side slip angle as well as the longitudinal velocity of the vehicle were estimated. And the effectiveness of the algorithm was verified through joint simulation with Carsim and Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the MCSCKF algorithm can adapt to complex working conditions and has better accuracy in vehicle state estimation than traditional state estimation algorithms. Meanwhile, the MCSCKF algorithm can effectively reduce the impact of heavy tail non Gaussian noise and improve the accuracy of vehicle state estimation
Simulation analysis of coupling mechanism between transient flow field characteristics of bubble collapse and metal deformation based on surface micromorphology
In the process of modifying titanium alloy oral implants using cavitation water jet, the collapse of bubbles releases significant energy. This phenomenon is accompanied by micro-jets and shock waves, which induce changes in the three-dimensional microscopic morphology of the implant surface. The loose and porous surface of the implant will increase the adhesion area of the cells, which is more conducive to the combination of the oral implant with the surrounding bone tissue. In order to explore the coupling mechanism between the instantaneous energy of bubble collapse and the surface deformation of titanium metal, based on different flow field and solid field model parameters, the numerical analysis software Ansys and the fluid-structure coupling simulation method are used to establish the numerical simulation model of single bubble collapse on the near curved wall. In order to explore the coupling mechanism between the instantaneous energy of bubble collapse and the surface deformation of titanium metal, the bubble growth process is ignored. Based on different flow field and solid field model parameters, this paper adopts the numerical analysis software Ansys and the fluid-structure coupling simulation method to establish the numerical simulation model of single bubble collapse on the near curved wall. The effects of flow field parameters and wall morphology on the transient flow field of bubble collapse and the effect of metal surface modification are revealed. The results show that when the initial bubble diameter is 180 μm, the instantaneous collapse high pressure reaches 7.24 GPa, and the maximum stress on the titanium surface is 689 MPa, which is 1.57 times higher than that under the bubble diameter of 60 μm. When the bubble collapses away from the wall, due to the weakened constraint of the wall, more intense energy is released, but the energy decays rapidly in the propagation process, and the energy loss when it reaches the wall is more serious. In this paper, the surface micromorphology is simplified into a near-curved shape. After the modification, the flow obstruction on the near-curved concave wall inhibits bubble collapse, resulting in an increase in bubble collapse time. The stress and deformation caused by a single bubble collapse are concentrated within a radius of 1mm and a depth of 5 μm
A novel problem and algorithm for solving permuted cordial labeling of corona product between two graphs
This study has come up with a new application of permuted cordial labeling initiated by two graphs based on their corona product, furthering the cause of a better comprehension of and research into specific types of graphs. The Permuted cordial labeling construction for the corona product of graphs consisting of paths, cycles, second power of a path and second power of cycle graphs may facilitate the consideration of the properties and structures of the graphs. It helps us to study its topological properties, connectivity images, symmetries and other properties
Towards explainable artificial intelligence with potential games
Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) emerged when researchers attempted to identify methods that would interpret the models that are used to perform classification and predictions, in order to avoid having a black box just informing about the result. Methods of XAI are crucial to determine details of the model feature contribution towards the result. One of these methods is attributed to cooperative game theory and especially Shapley values. With this method the features are considered as players and the marginal contribution of the features are employed. In this paper, we take onboard the Potential Game paradigm to show the interconnection between them and the Shapley values. We show that the Shapley values are interlinked with the potential function. Moreover, we setup a game with the marginal contribution of the players as their utility functions and we prove that the game is a potential game. Finally, we show that the price of stability of this game is 1. We utilise the Simulated Annealing (SA) method to find the optimal solution
Denoising for ECG signals based on VMD and RLS
Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals often encounter various types of noise interference, which annihilates their waveform characteristics and exhibits strong instability. To facilitate clinical diagnosis and analysis, it is necessary to perform denoising processing in advance. A denoising method for ECG signals based on variational mode decomposition (VMD) and recursive least square (RLS) has been proposed. VMD was used for the modal decomposition of noisy ECG signals, and the recursive least square (RLS) algorithm was used for adaptive filtering of various intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) components. The problem construction, solution, and decomposition characteristics of VMD were analyzed. The IMFs filtered by RLS were reconstructed. This achieved the elimination of interference noise in the ECG signal. The Sym8 wavelet basis, LMS, NLMS, RLS, and VMD-RLS denoising method were compared by using ECG signals including Gaussian white noise, baseband drift, electrode motion, electromyographic interference, and electrical interference noise. The experimental results showed that the VMD-RLS denoising method has significantly better denoising performance than the other four methods, achieving better values in the quantitative evaluation indicators. This algorithm improved convergence speed and signal estimation accuracy, and it has good effectiveness, superiority, and practicality. Therefore, the VMD-RLS denoising method can enable doctors and researchers to analyze and diagnose ECG signals of heart diseases more accurately
A cost model analysis in the process of refining petroleum using supplementary variable technique
This paper presents a cost model analysis for refining petroleum using an MX/G(a , b)/1.MX/G(a , b)/1 queuing system with two stages of heterogeneous services under steady-state conditions. The study derives the total average cost per unit time for two distinct service phases: Phase I and Phase II. In the first case, the analysis focuses on the total average cost of the system when the server operates in Phase I with a probability of π1 at any given time, and in Phase II with a probability of π2. Additionally, the model incorporates holding costs, operating costs, renovation costs for both phases, and closure time costs. Finally, numerical tables and graphical representations are provided to illustrate the observations regarding the total average cost, renovation rate, and arrival rate
Effect of Si addition on phase structure and wear resistance of CoCrFeMoNi alloy coatings
CoCrFeMoNi high entropy alloy coating was prepared on Q235 substrate by plasma cladding method. The phase structure, morphology characteristics, element distribution, microhardness, and wear resistance for this alloy without and with Si doping were investigated by XRD, OM, SEM, EDS, microhardness tester, and friction-wear tester, respectively. The results show that CoCrFeMoNi alloy is composed of a single FCC phase, while Si-containing alloy is composed of FCC main phase and HCP phase. Both alloys have a typical dendritic structure. There is a layer of isotropic fine-grained region near the fusion line, and a columnar crystal region away from the fusion line. After adding Si element, the enrichment of Mo element in the interdendrite region and Co element in the dendrite region significantly decreased, which is related to the Si-containing alloy can provide a liquid environment with longer duration, lower viscosity, and greater fluidity. The change of Cr element enrichment from interdendrite region to dendrite region is the result of comprehensive competition of mixing enthalpy, atomic radius difference, electronegativity, density, and melt flowability between alloying elements. The friction coefficients of the two alloys show a rapid increase first and then gradually stabilize with the increase of time. After adding Si element, the hardness and wear resistance of the alloy are greatly improved, which is mainly related to the increase of the lattice distortion of FCC phase, the formation of high-strength HCP phase and the reduction of internal defects
Evaluation and modeling of airborne dust pollution in the Kamchik railway tunnel during train movements
This paper presents the results of a study on airborne dust pollution in the Kamchik Railway Tunnel caused by train movements. Field measurements were carried out to determine the concentrations of suspended particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5, PM1), as well as air temperature, pressure, and humidity in different sections of the tunnel – near the portals and in its central part. It was established that during train passages, the level of dust concentration increases by 6-10 times compared to background values, exceeding sanitary and hygienic standards. The main sources of dust generation were identified as frictional interactions between wheels and rails, braking processes, and the transportation of bulk materials. To reduce dust concentrations, engineering solutions are proposed, including the implementation of automatic water-based dust suppression systems, enhanced tunnel ventilation, and the use of hydrophobic surface coatings. The obtained results can be used to optimize ventilation modes and improve the operational safety of the Kamchik Railway Tunnel
Vibration damping and interfacial adhesion behavior of steel-UHMWPE composite structures
Hybrid structures combining steel and polymer layers are widely used in engineering systems where vibration reduction and mechanical durability are required. In this study, a composite structure consisting of a low-carbon steel substrate and an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) coating was investigated in terms of vibration damping capacity, adhesion strength, and thermal behavior. The UHMWPE coating was applied to the steel surface through a thermal pressing technique under optimized temperature and pressure conditions. The vibration damping performance was analyzed using a modal analysis method and accelerometer-based measurements within the frequency range of 100-1000 Hz. Interfacial adhesion was evaluated via shear and peel tests according to ASTM D1002 standards. Results show that the steel-UHMWPE composite exhibits up to 35-40 % improvement in damping ratio compared to bare steel specimens. The optimal adhesion strength was achieved at a processing temperature of 190 ℃, where the interfacial energy balance between the polymer and steel substrate minimizes delamination. Thermal stability analysis using DSC and TGA confirmed the material’s operational range up to 120 ℃, making it suitable for automotive and mechanical vibration isolation applications. These findings demonstrate that the combination of steel’s stiffness and UHMWPE’s viscoelastic damping behavior offers a promising approach to lightweight vibration control components. Further optimization of interface modification and filler reinforcement is planned to enhance tribological and thermal resistance properties
Numerical modeling of reinforced concrete structures made of lightweight concrete using ANSYS
In this paper, extensive numerical investigations into reinforced concrete beam made of lightweight concrete are given, through the ANSYS finite element program. The main aim was to assess the load carrying capacity, stiffness and deformation characteristics of the beams of different concrete densities. There were seven beam specimens, which vary in the percentage ratio of lightweight to normal aggregates, and the material properties were duly incorporated in the model. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element analysis was used to simulate the beams with a mesh size of 25 mm, and the results were compared with the experimental results. Results showed that when the concrete density was reduced the loadbearing capacity decreased gradually, as the concrete became normal weight (95 kN) and then fully lightweight (85.7 kN). Nevertheless, the plastic zone transition happened later in lightweight beams and this implies that the deformation resistance was more difficult than in normal-weight concrete. The load-deflection curve demonstrated the fact that lightweight concrete beams though less stiff in nature, are structurally reliable and competitive. This study highlights the possibility of the lightweight concrete to be used as a structural material in contemporary engineering practice and therefore seismic zones where minimized self-weight improves the overall safety and efficiency. The results are useful in understanding how to optimize and design the reinforced lightweight concrete members
