The study for the influence of acoustic silencer foam on the output of sound based on the software of room EQ wizard
Stimulated by market demand and technological progress, the audio industry is booming. Many high-fidelity earphones are no longer satisfactory with simply providing customers with products but tend to provide customers with more opportunities to adjust their own tuning, one of which is to add the earphones with different acoustic silencer foam. This study begins by introducing the different types of earphones and their development history. After that, the specific research content is raised by questioning the prevailing perception of acoustic silencer foam in earphones. By comparing and analyzing the differences reflected by the frequency response curves of headphones equipped with different types of acoustic silencer foam, it is concluded that the smaller the cells of acoustic silencer foam and the presence of membrane will increase its ability to reduce the loudness at high frequency. This study reveals two significant characteristics which affect the performance of acoustic silencer foam and provides a reliable theoretical basis for the tuning technology of foam
Effect of defect distribution on thermal expansion coefficient of eutectic composite ceramics
Based on Eshelby’s equivalent inclusion theory, the four-phase model and the interaction direct derivative estimate, the prediction model of effective thermal expansion coefficient of composite containing multiple types of inclusion in anisotropic matrix was established. The effective thermal expansion coefficient of eutectic composite containing defects was calculated. And then the influence of defects and inclusions on the effective thermal expansion coefficient is discussed in detail. The results show that the influence of inclusions will be amplified by defects when there are multiple inclusions in the matrix. Therefore, the interaction direct derivative estimate cannot accurately predict the influence of defect distribution on thermal expansion coefficient of eutectic composite ceramics
Amorphous FeVO4 as high-capacity cathode precursor for lithium second battery
Various vanadates have been investigated to accelerate the development of advanced technologies, especially in the area of electronics. Amorphous FeVO4 was synthesized by the liquid phase precipitation method. This precursor was firstly discharged and then charged as cathode material of lithium second battery, in which the valence of two kinds of metals can be changed. Thermal analysis (TG-DTA), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) have been used for their characterization. The result revealed the existence of two pairs of redox couples, Fe3+/Fe2+ and V5+/V4+. The electrochemical investigation has shown that at higher potentials amorphous FeVO4 can react with 1, 1.5 and 2 mol Li, respectively
Vibration characteristics analysis of face gear transmission system considering gyroscopic effect
To improve the dynamics of the face gear transmission system, a nonlinear dynamics model considering gyroscopic effects and including parameters such as time-varying meshing stiffness, meshing damping, tooth side clearance, support stiffness and damping is developed. The Runge-Kutta method was used to solve the nonlinear kinetic equations and analyze the accuracy and reasonableness of the model calculation results. The vibration displacement, vibration velocity and vibration acceleration along each direction of the face gear and straight cylindrical gear were analyzed, and the torsional vibration characteristics of the center of mass of the two gears were studied
Dynamic modeling and analysis of elastic isolation damping gears
Transmission error is the main excitation source of gear vibration and noise, how to reduce the transmission error has always been the focus of the research on gear dynamics. In this study, a new type of cylindrical spur gear with elastic isolation is developed for the reduction of transmission error. The elastic isolation damping gear includes three parts: the gear body, the elastic isolation layer, and the involute profile body. Dynamic models are established with the elastic isolation damping gear using lumped parameter method. Dynamic characteristics are simulated via spur gear pair examples by the Runge-Kutta algorithm. By comparing the simulation results of three gear models, the dynamic response of the elastic isolation damping gear with sliding friction is illustrated. The influence of different parameters of the elastic isolation layer on the dynamic response for the elastic isolation damping gear model is carried out. The results indicate that the proposed elastic isolation damping gear model is effective in reducing dynamic transmission error, especially for torque fluctuation, high-speed and heavy-duty conditions. Parameter influence analysis guides the design of elastic isolation damping gears with low transmission error
Nonlinear dynamic analysis and defect detection of gears
In the current work, the nonlinear dynamic behavior of an eight degrees of freedom gear system is investigated. Tooth crack is introduced into the model. The main sources of excitation are the time varying mesh stiffness (TVMS), time varying mesh damping, backlash and friction inter teeth. By using the potential energy method applied into the cantilevered beam, the TVMS is calculated. The backlash is considered as a dead zone. The effect of backlash, friction and tooth crack on the vibration frequencies is highlighted. The crack detection is based on the time-frequency analysis
Use of gas reduction energy at a gas distribution station
The issue of utilization of excess energy of throttled natural gas is still relevant today. To solve it, various devices are used, based on such principles as on the Ranque-Hilsch vortex effect, temperature stratification using the Leontief tube, expander-generator sets and devices based on the Hartmann-Sprenger effect. One of the most common devices at gas distribution stations (gas gate station) is the turboexpander. The principle of its operation is based on the expansion of the gas flow with the performance of external mechanical work. Taking into account the increased interest in hydrogen fuel in connection with the course announced by the UN for decarbonization of production by 2050, the modern gas transmission system can become a secondary source of electricity for hydrogen production, thereby solving the problem of excess pressure energy utilization at gas distribution stations. The technological solution for using this energy is the installation of turboexpanders and electrolysis of water at gate stations in order to produce hydrogen
Study on vibration characteristics of ship mining system under composite load
The load that borne by ship mining system is very complex. The vibration of lifting pipe can be significantly affected by ocean current and wind load, which has a key impact on material lifting, ore bin storage and ship towing. Considering the composite load condition, the vibration control equation of mining ship is established based on the transverse swing mechanism of ship hull, and the variation law of transverse disturbance is obtained. The dynamic equation is constructed according to the bearing characteristics of the lifting system and the D’Alembert principle. The Wilson method is used to analyze and obtain the transverse vibration spectrum response of the lifting pipe under different wind loads, hull disturbance velocity and water depth. Based on the analogy method and hammering method, the vibration feedback test-bed of the lifting system is built, and the time-domain and frequency-domain vibration characteristics of the lifting pipe model under different water depths are obtained. The results show that in shallow water, the disturbance of mining ship and the composite load of ocean current are the key factors affecting the vibration amplitude of lifting pipe respectively. With the increase of water depth, the characteristic frequency and amplitude of the system decrease, and the amplitude gradually presents a discontinuous phenomenon
Detection of weak joints and damages for beams using machine learning
For maintaining the safe operation of structures, it is necessary to develop SHM methods that can detect not only the presence of cracks in the structure but also any alterations of its fastening conditions. The current paper presents a method for developing an Artificial Intelligent model that can detect if a beam is affected by transverse cracks and at the same time, by improper boundary conditions. To this aim, a cantilever steel beam is considered as the in the current study. The training data for the artificial neural network (ANN) is created using an original analytic method which allows calculating the natural frequency loss caused by the occurrence of transverse cracks even if the beam is improperly fastened. The intelligent model is trained by employing the MATLAB software and tested using data acquired from numerical simulations. The results show very high accuracy in determining the presence of transverse cracks, and the capability of detecting the presence and severity of improper clamping conditions
Bio-CCS as a policy measure to achieve climate goals – the pioneering support scheme in Sweden
By 2045, Sweden is to have zero net emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. After 2045, Sweden should achieve negative emissions. To accomplish this, the use of bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (bio-CCS) will be important. Sweden should aim to capture and store two million tonnes of biogenic carbon dioxide per year by 2030. However, the feasible potential for bio-CCS in Sweden amounts to at least 10 million tonnes of biogenic carbon dioxide per year in a 2045 perspective. To support the development and deployment of CCS the Swedish energy Agency has been given two governmental assignments. 1. The first task/assignment, given in December 2020, was to establish a national centre for CCS. This task entails planning, coordination and promotion of CCS throughout the country. The Swedish Energy Agency will carry out its work in dialogue with both national and international stakeholders: industries, academia, governmental authorities and the Government Offices of Sweden. The present tasks for the centre are to implement a support system for bio-CCS and ensure that it is line with international conventions, such as the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and its moratorium on geo-engineering, and the London Convention and the London Protocol. The centre is also working with questions related to the accounting and reporting of negative carbon dioxide emissions in relation to national and international climate goals as well as following the emergence of a carbon market – voluntary and/or regulated – for negative emissions. 2. The second assignment was to roll-out the support system earlier proposed by the agency. The Swedish Energy Agency has concluded that a reverse action as the most cost-effective support system as well as to be compatible with EU state aid rules. The support system for bio-CCS has a budget framework of 3.6 billion €. A reverse auction means that, for example, a pulp and paper industry or a combined heat and power plant can submit a bid on how much carbon dioxide they can capture and store, and at what cost. The one who can deliver bio-CCS according to the stipulated requirements at the lowest cost, wins the auction. The Swedish Energy Agency hope to launch the first round of auction in 2023 and have the first storage of Swedish captured carbon dioxide taking place in 2026. Other countries can use Sweden’s knowledge and experiences when implementing bio-CCS. Exchanging knowledge, experiences and ideas with other countries are important to achieve large-scale deployment of bio-CCS in the Nordic-Baltic region and net-zero emissions in 2045
