Dynamics analysis and collaborative optimization of vehicle steering mechanism

    Get PDF
In order to improve the dynamic response characteristics of the steering mechanism, a research scheme for increasing the natural frequency based on lightweight design was proposed. Based on the finite element method and the collaborative optimization method, the modal characteristics and harmonic response characteristics of the model were studied and analyzed to verify the strength and stiffness performance of the optimized structure. The modal shapes between the free mode and the constrained mode were compared and analyzed. With the second-order natural frequency as the optimization objective, the response surface function of the equivalent stiffness was constructed. Through optimization calculation, the design variables that satisfy the constraint conditions can be obtained. The results show that the optimized structure can increase the second-order natural frequency by 14.4 % on the premise of reducing the mass by 5.2 %, effectively avoiding the excitation frequency of the engine

    Get PDF
The phenomena of miosis (constriction) and mydriasis (dilation) of the pupil are exhibited in response to varying levels of light intensity cast upon the eye. In general, the size and responsiveness of the human pupil are under the regulatory purview of the nervous system. Consequently, the study of the pupil offers a means to discern potential abnormalities in the human organism, as it permits an assessment of the nervous system’s behavior. However, the comprehension of pupillary dynamics remains incomplete in certain facets, and methodologies for enhancing diagnostic precision continue to evolve, primarily contingent upon current technological equipment advancements. Thus, the imperative lies in the advancement of technologies that meet these research needs, as the scrutiny of pupillary responses holds the capability to detect anomalies within the human body. Hence, the objective of this endeavor is to conduct preliminary trials of a dynamic pupillometry system, designed to both stimulate and capture images of human pupils, facilitating an investigation into their behavioral patterns. The findings elucidate various pupillary parameters and reveal significant alterations in pupillary conduct, thereby contributing to the advancement of research and technologies within the realm of pupillometry. Thus, this study undertakes an innovative exploration into pupillometry, particularly regarding stimuli of varying wavelengths, thereby providing improvements on the diagnostic, prognostic and preventive capacity with heightened reliability, given the pupil’s size and its reactions cannot be manipulated or falsified since they are involuntary

Energy storage technologies and their combinational usage in micro/mini unmanned aerial vehicles: a review

    Get PDF
As the world population increases, energy consumption extensively increases in every field. Energy is a need in several applications, and depending on its importance, its production should be renewable and clean. In order to meet energy requirements sustainably nowadays various alternative energy resources and improvements are recommended in each sector. One of the environmental steps taken in the aviation industry is the improvement of the propulsion systems and the resources used. For this purpose, the use of electrical energy, a more sustainable option than the energy obtained from fossil fuels, is suggested. In order for electrical energy to be used efficiently, it must be stored. This article reviews energy storage technologies used in aviation, specifically for micro/mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Combinational energy storage technologies in hybrid propulsion system architectures and their individual usage in all-electric propulsion system architectures are examined. New-generation propulsion technologies are also evaluated and classified in detail

Researching low frequency vibration of automobile-robot

    Get PDF
Automobile-robot (self-driving automobile) is being researched and developed vigorously. When the automobile-robot is moving on the road surface, the low frequency vibration excitation not only influences the ride comfort of the automobile-robot but also strongly affects the durability of the vehicle’s structures. To research the automobile-robot’s vibration in the low frequency region, a dynamic model of the vehicle is established to calculate the vibration equations in the time region. Based on the theory of the Laplace transfer function, the automobile-robot’s vibration equations in the time region are transformed and converted to the vibration equations in the frequency region. Then, the effect of the design parameters and operation parameters on the characteristic of the automobile-robot’s acceleration-frequency is simulated and analyzed to evaluate the ride comfort as well as the durability of the automobile-robot’s structures in the frequency region. The research results show that the design parameters of the stiffness, mass, and road wavelength remarkably affect the characteristic of the automobile-robot’s acceleration-frequency. To reduce the resonant amplitude of the acceleration-frequency in the vertical and pitching direction of the automobile-robot, the stiffness parameters of the automobile-robot's and tires should be reduced while the mass of the automobile-robot’s body should be increased. Additionally, the road’s roughness also needs to be decreased or the road’s quality needs to be enhanced to reduce the resonant amplitude of the automobile-robot’s acceleration-frequency

1D manipulator with vibration impact drive, based on which it is possible to create orthogonal manipulators and robots of any dimension

    Get PDF
Manipulator of the investigated type may move according to a straight line. It has an advantage in the fact that by choosing geometrical parameters of the manipulator it is possible to achieve its effective operation. This is presented by using analytical and graphical methods. The performed research shows that manipulators with vibration impact drives have some positive qualities. In their structure it is not necessary to include the self-stopping mechanism. In the conservative case of the system static position of equilibrium of the impact pair can be with negative, zero or positive tightening. In the case of zero tightening eigenfrequency and period of the system does not depend on the quantity of motion of impact excitation. In the case of harmonic forced excitation resonant motions take place in the vicinity of the eigenfrequency of the conservative system with zero tightening. Analytical – numerical calculations contribute to the creation of manipulators and robots with vibration impact drives

Research on the relationship between feature extraction time and training samples of hyperspectral image based on spatial domain

    Get PDF
Hyperspectral image (HSI) feature extraction is an important means to improve the classification of different ground features. According to the structural characteristics of hyperspectral data, the general feature extraction scheme can extract features from the point of view of spectral dimension, spatial and spatial spectrum. And the feature extraction time is also an index to measure the feature extraction method. Therefore, from the perspective of spatial dimension, this paper explores the relationship between HSI feature extraction time and training sample ratio. Three groups of HSIs sets were used for correlation test and analysis in the experiment. According to the characteristics of different data sets, the best selection scheme between spatial domain feature extraction method and training samples is given

Research on dynamic characteristics of wind turbine’s transmission system considering gear tooth lubrication

    Get PDF
To improve wind turbines’ reliability and lifespan, taking the two-stage fixed shaft gearbox of wind turbines as study object. The oil stiffness and meshing stiffness of the transmission system are calculated, and the composite stiffness is obtained with the consideration of lubricating film. Then analyzed the dynamic characteristics of wind turbines’ transmission system before and after consider the oil stiffness in different operating conditions. The findings indicate that after considering the gear lubrication effect, the composite stiffness gradually decreases as rotational speed increase; within a certain rotational speed range, the tooth-surface load can be reduced, making the system run more smoothly. Therefore, the presence of oil film and its impact on its stiffness cannot be ignored. This study has certain guiding significance in improving the transmission efficiency and reducing noise of wind turbines

Experimental and performance analysis of carbon/carbon bolt

    Get PDF
In this paper, the mechanical properties of C/C composite bolts at normal temperature are studied. The strength performance of bolts under different load conditions of tension and shear is tested, which shows that they have different failure modes. It is concluded that the strength performance and failure mode of C/C bolts are directly related to the structural size and the braiding characteristic of the bolt. This can provide a basis for the optimal design of C/C bolts
