    Get PDF
This study sought to ascertain how organizational strategies affected gender equity in a teacher’s morale and productivity among male, female, and nonbinary faculty at Jose Rizal Memorial State University, utilizing a descriptive correlational research design with the use of standardized tests. The frequency count, percent, mean, Chi-square, and Pearson R statistical tests were used to total, tabulate, and further analyze and interpret the results. The findings showed a substantial association, demonstrating how organizational practices have an effect on a teacher's level of morale. The organization may implement leadership development programs to prepare upcoming deans or associate deans for their positions. Organizational practices and faculty production in research were not significantly correlated, however, there was a strong correlation between organizational practices and faculty productivity in instruction and community services. Gender equity within an organization can stimulate improvements in instruction and performance in extension but does not lead to research productivity among the faculty of the university. Thus, the deans and associate deans may include in their PPMP the purchase of classroom supplies, equipment, and other audio-visual aids and projection equipment. Furthermore, a staff may be hired in the college to assist the faculty with encoding, designing, and developing instructional materials. On the other hand, gender equality among university teachers does not result in increased productivity in research. The college may conduct action research to explore the factors that may affect the research productivity of the male, female, and nonbinary faculty. Furthermore, the proposed 'Action Plan for Monitoring and Evaluating Gender Equity in Institutional Work Plans and Activities' may be utilized to sustain gender equity in educational institutions

    Get PDF
This article focuses on the diaspora work of Obiora Udechukwu, one of the Nsukka Art School's most well-known artists. When Udechukwu immigrated to the United States of America in 1997, he continued his pre-diaspora activities by teaching art at the university and working in his studio. The article uses historical and stylistic analyses to investigate how memory, nostalgia, remembrance, and culture-induced biases intervened in Udechukwu's diaspora work against the backdrop of the socio-political, cultural, and artistic experiences that frame his pre-diaspora art. The artist's diaspora works demonstrated that his pre-diaspora interests in Igbo culture, memories of the Nigerian civil war, and experiences of socio-political life in Nigeria have continued to influence the formal and thematic terrain of his work. His extensive use of text as a decorative and communicative tool, as well as the use of a design technique that merges two pictorial surfaces into one composition, are among the significant innovations that have taken place in his work. The study offers a developing interpretation of Obiora Udechukwu's artistic output. It also emphasizes how important memory, nostalgia, remembering, and prejudices brought on by culture are to diaspora art and to the (re)enactment of artistic identity by diasporic artists

Time in Kant’s philosophy: An Analysis

    Get PDF
One of the most important ideas in Kant's philosophy is the idea of time. It might be argued that Kant is the true creator of the metaphysics of time given the significance and prominence of the idea in his system of thought. This essay's goal is to support such an assertion. Anyone who reads Kant's writings—especially the 'Critique of Pure Reason'—will quickly see that his philosophy is, in fact, a philosophy of time. The 'Critique of Pure Reason' serves as the study's foundation, although other works by Kant have also been taken into consideration. Heidegger's understanding of and interpretation of Kant has some bearing on our strategy. In reality, Heidegger was the one who first understood the crucial part that time plays in Kant's philosophy. Kant establishes a two-way interaction with time. On the one hand, Kant's philosophy is built on the idea of time, but on the other, Kant's philosophy presents us with a concept of time that is entirely distinct from any philosophy that came before it. The concept itself has inspired all of Kant's philosophical theories, and Kant has altered its meaning
