    Get PDF
The influence of theosophical and mystical principles permeates the poetry of the Rokhani Period, extending beyond its initial literary manifestation to subsequent poetic schools. This study delves into the concept of "death before death" within selected works of the esteemed poet Mirza Khan Ansari from the Rokhani Period. Referred to as "spiritual birth" in philosophy and "TAWALUD-E-MANAWI" in Farsi Dari, this theory is notably prevalent in Ansari's poetry. Central to Muslim belief is the anticipation of doomsday, underpinned by a commitment to truthfulness and righteousness. The imperative of preparing for death, abstaining from wrongdoing, aiding fellow beings, upholding the rights of Allah, and numerous other tenets all encapsulate the essence of "death before death." Thus, this research underscores the significance and urgency of exploring this theme. Through a meticulous examination conducted primarily in library settings, this paper elucidates how Mirza Khan's poetry embodies the theory of spiritual birth. It advocates for the prioritization of spiritual over physical birth and emphasizes the necessity of preparing for death as a transformative process. Employing descriptive and analytical methodologies, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the interplay between mortality and spirituality

EVALUATING MURĀBAḤAH FINANCING IN SRI LANKA: PRACTITIONER PERCEPTION

    Get PDF
The most popular service offered by Islamic financial institutions is Murābaḥah financing. Thus, the purpose of this research is to investigate the historical roots of the Murābaḥah contract and its modern financial derivatives. The legal stratagems (LS) used to create these derivatives are themselves a source of criticism. Hence, the validity of these legal stratagems is analyzed through classical and contemporary literature. In addition, an investigation on the use of Murābaḥah instruments in Sri Lanka is carried out by conducting thematic analysis on interviews with nine respondents who are both practitioners and scholars of Sharīʻah. Based on the findings, it was determined that the mere presence of LS does not render a contract void. However, there should be some standards and limitations placed on the application of LS. In addition, there is a disconnect between the theory and practice of Murābaḥah in IFIs, in which practitioners frequently tend to conflate Murābaḥah financing with conventional loans due to a lack of understanding of the concept of LS. In order to ensure the legality and feasibility of using Murābahah financing and other products, this study suggests that IFIs not only educate their employees on the basics of Islamic finance, but also have Sharīʻah review and audit systems in place on a regular basis

BABUR'S CHARACTERIZATION SKILLS IN THE “BABURNAMA”

    Get PDF
In the history of our literature, we rarely find a book like 'Baburnama' in which people and their characterization are given a large place. Characterization is like a person's height, face, eyes, clothes, behavior, and morals. In this work, we come across a clear, unique characterization of many people: when it comes to Khans, Emirs, and Begs, there are given short, clear descriptions of their date of birth and lineage, shape and appearance, morals and character, the occurrence of wars, and their commanders. This type of poetic unit, which guarantees the artistry of the author of the work, is considered one of the most important elements in the original literature. Babur explores characters' inner lives as well as their outward manifestations when developing characterization, noting both the positive and negative aspects of historical figures. It fully demonstrates the author’s skills by portraying the characters in such a realistic manner and by clearly and thoroughly expressing their functions

The Uzbek language belongs to the eastern branch of Turkic languages. Turkic languages are part of the Ural-Altaic language family. The history of orthography and ancient literature of the Uzbek language goes back to the 'Orkhon Yinisey' stone in orthography ions. These petroglyphs were obtained from the beach of the Orkhon Seas in Mangolia, Yenisey (Anasay-Mother valley) in southern Siberia, Talas in Kyrgyzstan, and other areas such as Eastern Turkistan, Central Asia, Caucasus, Volga beach and parts of Europe area. These historical sites contain Turkish-Ronics writings. In the stone in orthography ions of 'Orkhon Yinisey', some of which include eulogies and hymns describing Turkish kings, are carved on the tombstones of Turkish kings and princes. The orthography of the Uzbek language of Uzbekistan has always changed from the previous state. However, the Uzbek orthography in Afghanistan has never changed since the 12th century until now; they use the Arabic-Uzbek orthography. In this research, library resources are used

    Get PDF
The colonized nations saw a rise in nationalistic feelings during the height of colonialism in the middle of the 19th century, putting special stress on the concept of shared ancestry, culture, and language. It is important to note that this idea has strong roots in India, where there is a plethora of ancient literature that emphasizes on cultural nationalism, whether it is Vedic, Jain, or Buddhist. In most regions of the continent, Buddhism has had a major geographic and historical presence often for very long times. Additionally, it has had a significant impact on the creation of particular states as well as less formal interpretations and shaping of social and political processes, and this influence has persisted to the present day. It promoted the notion of tolerance and diversity and integrity. Asoka, Kanishka, and Harshavardhan became passionate nationalists who sought to reunite India under a unified state. Both the Mughals and the British did this afterward. Thus, it seems likely that Buddhism contributed to national cohesion. Buddhism has a significant impact on Indian society and culture in every way. The restrictions placed on the populace by the Latter Vedic religion society and literature was lifted. It advocated for social harmony and spoke out against the caste system. Buddhism has had an impact on a variety of art genres, including painting, sculpture, literature, and architecture. Buddhism promoted unrestricted trade between India and other nations. Buddhist monks began disseminating the Buddha's teachings to other countries in the third century B.C. and pilgrims and students from other Buddhist countries began travelling to India to further their education. When foreigners visited India, the rich culture of Buddhism engulfed them; they abandoned their own identities and creeds in favour of Buddhist names and the faith. These outsiders included the mythical Kushana ruler Kanishka and Greek emperors. Buddhism thus had a significant influence on the synthesis that led to the development of contemporary Indian civilization. This paper highlights Buddhism's history, including its rise and fall, as well as how Buddhist teachings have influenced cultural nationalism of India

Language learning requires strategies that increase our competence in communication. This study identified the language learning strategies and the grammatical competency level of the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) English major students at Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU), School Year 2017-2018. This research is mixed methods since it determined the language learning strategies mostly used by the students and identified the grammatical competency level of the respondents. The researcher triangulated the data from the survey using the focus group discussion through semi-structured interviews. It further examined whether there is a significant relationship between language learning strategies and the grammatical competence level of the BSED-English. The respondents of this study were the 138-3rd year BSED-English major students of JRMSU chosen through simple random sampling by the lottery technique. The students took the Strategy Inventory of Language Learning (SILL) survey questionnaire, developed by Oxford (1990), and the grammatical competence test. Twelve students from the group participated in the focus group discussion. The data were checked, tallied, and analyzed utilizing the weighted mean, ranking, and percentage. The researcher employed Spearman's Rho test to find the relationship between language learning strategies and grammatical competency levels. She then transcribed and coded the data from the focus group discussion. The results of this study showed that language learning strategies usually used by the BSED-English major students were metacognitive, social, cognitive, affective, and compensation strategies. In addition, it showed that the overall grammatical competence level of the students is competent, which revealed their higher competence level in word formation and syntax but less competence in spelling, pronunciation, and vocabulary. The results showed a significant relationship between language learning strategy use and grammatical competence level, indicating that the more language learning strategies are mostly used by the students, the higher their grammatical competence level

    Get PDF
The goal of the study was to ascertain the job history and status of Jose Rizal Memorial State University graduates, in particular those who completed the bachelor's degree programs in tourism and hotel and restaurant management between 2012 and 2016. The design of this tracer study utilized a descriptive quantitative methodology. To collect pertinent study data, a modified, standardized questionnaire and interviewing methods were employed as the instrument. Only 109 graduates out of a total of 241 responded to the survey via email and social networking sites. In order to determine the respondent's profile and mean for the degree of usefulness and relevance of the work-related values and abilities and curriculum-related elements, a frequency count and percentage computation were used. According to the survey, honesty and love of God are 'Very Much Helpful' in the tourism industry, along with work-related qualities. Communication abilities were identified as being 'Very Much Connected' to the job requirements for both tourism and the management of hotels and restaurants. With the exception of Natural Science, Culinary Arts and Services, and Accounting for HRM, practically all of the variables had significant relevance from elements relating to the curriculum. It is advised that the curriculum be modified to reflect changes in the new educational system and to accommodate the shifting needs of business. To increase the number of graduates, teachers should also improve or change their teaching methods to better meet the needs and requirements of the different types of students they are teaching.
