    IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CLASSDOJO PLATFORM AS E-LEARNING MEDIA AT THE KHALIFAH ISLAMIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PALU

    This study is related to the application of information and communication technology in the field of education, namely the use of digital learning media classdojo in elementary school. This research focuses on how to implement calassdojo as an e-learning medium at the Islamic Elementary School of the Khalifah Palu? Its aim is to reveal the application of classdojo as e-learning platform to digitally shape and monitor behavior and achievement of students in learning. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach through data collection techniques; namely: interviews, observations and documentation. The findings of this research indicate that the process of applying classdojo in the learning process for the first class students at Islamic Elementary School of the Khalifah Palu is running well according to the operational standards of this application. The indicators are reflected in students' proficiency in using the classdojo application while participating in e-learning with digital communication tools, such as: undroid, tablet, and account. In addition, through the classdojo application, teachers and parents can control learning activities, behavior and students’ achievements directly on the feature menu that has been made at the planning stage. The use of the classdojo platform received positive responses from teachers, students and parents as well as reflecting the digital literacy culture of students at the Islamic Elementary School of the Khalifah Palu

    STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION ON THE USE OF NHK CHANNEL IN LEARNING VOCABULARY

    This research aims at investigating the perception of the third-grade students on learning vocabulary through NHK channel at Madrasah Aliyah Masembo Maros. The method of this research was quantitative descriptive method. The population was all the students of the third grade in Madrasah Aliyah Ainus Syamsy Masembo Maros that consisted of 50 students. The samples were selected purposively, that were those who already watched NHK channel that consisted of 14 students. The data were collected through questionnaires. The data were analyzed by looking for the means score and intervals to classify them. The result indicated that there was a positive perception of watching NHK channel on students’ learning. It was proved by the mean score of total number of all of the questions as 56,6 which was classified as very high. Therefore, it is concluded that learning vocabulary through NHK Channel has good response from third grade students of Madrasah Aliyah Ainus Syamsy Masembo Maros or in the other words the use of media as learning tool such as NHK channel can help students in learning vocabular

    NEED ANALYSIS ON ASSESSMENT BASED E-LEARNING PLATFORM IN READING CLASS FOR VOCATIONAL STUDENTS AT EAST LAMPUNG

    Assessment and the learning process become two intertwined concepts that are impossible to separate. When compared to the other three abilities, reading skills are the most important in English learning. In order to meet the demands of modern teaching development, information and communication technology is required for English language instruction and assessment. The purpose of this study is to examine the requirements of both learners and pursuers in terms of the use of information and communication technology in reading instruction assessment (Reading Assessment). This current study used two data collection technique, namely questionnaires and interviews analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Respondents in this study were selected by purposive sampling involving 70 students and 5 teachers in vocational schools. The results of this study found that (1) The students’ goal and necessities differ, (2) The students are at beginner level at reading skill and have reading word and sentences fluently and correctly, (3) They want familiar contents based on their life, environment and major,(4) The need of information and communication technology both for learning and assessing and (5) Through the product, the English learners would be learning, collaborative and independent. The researcher advised for further researcher to conduct the development the information and communication technology for teaching and assessing English learners in vocational schools

    PROMOTING TECHNOLOGY-BASED LEARNING IN NIGERIA: ROLE OF THE STAKEHOLDERS

    This study investigated the roles of stakeholders in promoting technology-based learning in Nigeria. The population of the study comprised all senior secondary school III students in public secondary schools, their teachers and parents in Akoko South West, Ondo State. Simple random procedure was used to select ten (10) schools out of seventeen (17) secondary schools in the Local Government. Four hundred (400) samples comprised 300 students, 50 teachers and 50 parents were randomly selected from the population. Self-developed questionnaire served data collection purpose. The validated instrument, has a reliability index of 0.68. Findings from the study revealed that parents are to provide ICT gadgets for their children at home and monitor them so as to guide against abuse of the technology; it was discovered that Government, P.T.A., old students, philanthropists are to build and equip ICT units in schools and to, organize workshops and seminars for teachers on ICT. It was concluded that building and equipping of ICT centers by the government is very germane, PTA old students association and philanthropists. However, teachers are to strategically and technically make use of technology to foster teaching and learning in Nigeria. It was recommended that workshop and seminars are to be organized for personnel in ICT in schools by the Government and teachers are to use new innovative method to blend learning and make the process technology-based.Key words: stakeholders, parents, old students, technology-based, learning

    IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF MEMORIZATION OF AL-QUR’AN THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TAKRIR METHOD IN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL MATHOLIB AS-SULUK CIREBON

    Many assume that people who have grown up do not have the opportunity to memorize the Qur'an because of the difficulties that will be faced in the process of memorizing it rather than in childhood. This research aims to find out (1) the application of the takrir method in Ponpes Matholib As-Suluk. (2) factors that affect students' ability to memorize by takrir method, (3) the quality of memorization of the holy verse of the Qur'an using the takrir method. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. Through the technique of interviewing, observation and documentation studies, several findings were obtained: (1) the application of the takrir method in Ponpes Matholib As-Suluk was applied through the repetition of santri memorization in four ways: individual takrir, collective takrir with friends, takrir with teachers, and takrir at prayer time; (2) there are 2 factors that affect the application of takrir methods: internal (santri mood) and external factors (pesantren environmental support); and (3) the application of this method succeeded in improving the quality of santri memorization because the students were able to improve their memorization quite quickly and they were also able to reread verses and surahs that had been memorized quite smoothly

    SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES FOR IMPROVED ADMINISTRATIVE EFFECTIVENESS IN PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN RIVERS STATE NIGERIA

    The study investigated school business competencies for improved administrative effectiveness in Public Secondary School in Rivers State. Three research questions and two null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The population of the study was 286 principals in all the public secondary schools in Rivers State. A sample of 166 through a stratified random technique was determined using the Taro Yamane formula. The instrument of the study was a self design instrument captioned “School Business Management Competencies Questionnaire (SBMCQ) and Principal Administrative Effectiveness (PAE) with the reliability coefficients of 0.77 and 0.84 respectively which was determined through the Cronbach alpha statistics. Mean scores and standard deviation was used to answer the research questions while Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was sued to test the hypothesis. It was discovered that the highest kind of business available in the public school is related to cafeteria / canteen services and that also to a high extent, resourcefulness as a business management competency improves administrative effectiveness in public secondary schools in Rivers State. It concluded that for the school administrators to manage the school business effective (administrative effectiveness), they must possess the core competence of resourcefulness, conceptual thinking and administrative organisation. It was recommended among others that the principal should have a comprehensive understanding of the school complex nature and also think critically at both abstract and concrete level to harmonize a rather multifaceted business challenges in the school and proffer realistic solutions

    ANALYSIS OF FACTORS DETERMINING THE LEVEL OF JOB SATISFACTION OF PRIVATE COLLEGE LECTURERS IN BANJARMASIN

    ABSTRACT Job satisfaction is a factor that really needs to be considered in various work organizations, including educational organizations, because job satisfaction has been shown to have many influences on various organizational outputs, especially on work performance. This study aims to determine the level of job satisfaction of private college lecturers and which factors have the greatest role in shaping lecturers’ job satisfaction in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan. Respondents in this study were 314 permanent lecturers in various private college that still active in Banjarmasin City. Job satisfaction was measured by 5 indicators, each described by a few items. Data analysed using Spearman’s Correlation to determine the correlation between every indicator to it’s total variable. The results of the study found that the most satisfying factor according to the lecturers was the work environment, while the factor that had the biggest role in shaping job satisfaction was workplace guidance, especially the role of leadership in directing and providing input to lecturers. It is hoped that through this research, lecturers' job satisfaction can be maintained and have a positive impact on various other organizational outputs.   &nbsp

    COMMUNICATION COMPETENCY FOR TEACHERS OF YAKUT SPECIAL SCHOOL PURWOKERTO: POTENTIAL AND CHALLENGES

    The language skills of teachers in special schools (Sekolah Luar Biasa/SLB) possess specific characteristics and must be continuously improved. Language habituation for special students is a reflection of their daily communication skills. The teacher's need for classroom management for special students becomes a new challenge because teachers are expected to optimize the use of language in the classroom to enhance students' communication skills directly. Based on the background of the problem, it is essential to conduct a clinical pedagogical analysis for teachers in dealing with problems that occur in the classroom, especially in language learning and communication for special students at SLB B Yakut Purwokerto. In order to answer the formulation of the problem, this study employed a qualitative approach to answer the clinical-pedagogical analysis conducted. The analytical instruments include (1) analysis of vocal abilities such as tone, articulation, pronunciation, application of intonation in learning; (2) analysis of self-expression abilities such as mimics and gestures in learning; and (3) the attitude and mentality of communication in learning. Based on the results of the learning analysis, it shows that the teacher's language skills still need to be improved. On a scale of 100, the results of the analysis of four language skills in SLB teacher learning comprise of communication skills which are 8.2, and class management 7.8. The development of communication and interaction-based learning media acquired 7.0 by implementing learning media technology to initiate creative ideas from teachers of SLB B Yakut Purwokerto, which later can be a good atmosphere for other schools. Teachers improve pedagogic knowledge and competence in optimizing learning situations through quality and fun interactive learning. All teachers realize the urgency of mastering speaking skills: emphasizing essential points, intonation, clear articulation; hence, special students can understand the material quickly in enhancing students' abilities

    THE COMPARISON BETWEEN STUDENTS' PHYSICS LEARNING OUTCOMES IN FACE TO FACE (OFFLINE) AND ONLINE LEARNING MODEL

    This study aims to compare the learning outcomes of physics taught using face-to-face learning models with online learning models at Islamic Senior High School 2 Palu City in the academic year of 2021/2022. In this study, the X1 variable consists of the face-to-face model, the X2 variable is the online learning model, and the Y variable consists of the results of learning Physics. This study used quantitative research with comparative analysis techniques. The subject of the research was students of X IPA 1 at Islamic Senior High School 2 Palu, which is totaling 25 students. Data collection was carried out using student learning outcomes tests, observation, and documentation. The method used for the analysis of hypothesis testing is the paired sample t-test. Descriptive, normality, and homogeneity tests were used for data analysis. The results showed that there were significant differences in the learning outcomes of Physics subjects between face-to-face learning and the online learning model for class X IPA1 Islamic Senior High School 2 Palu in the academic year of 2021/2022. The results of the descriptive analysis calculation show that there is a difference between the Physics Learning Outcomes Taught Using the Face-to-Face Learning Model and the Online Learning Model in class X IPA1 in the academic year 2021/2022. This shows that the face-to-face learning model is more effective than the online learning model in physics subjects

    STUDENT’S READINESS TO CARRY OUT FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING AT KENDARI VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

    The slowing spread of Covid-19 infections has brought positive changes in the education sector. The issue of implementing limited face to face learning begins to excite students in gaining knowledge. Online learning effects for approximately two years was relatively difficult to keep students away from themselves. This study time to determine how the level of student learning readiness in facing offline learning. This was quantitative research with a survey type. The population were State vocatoonal high school 2 Kendari students, totaling 558 students. The sample was drawn randomly with a magnitude estimated using the Slovin formula at a significance of 5% so that the total sample size was 233 students. Data were collected by learning readiness scale. Data were analyzed descriptively and comparative statistics. The results showed that the learning readiness of State vocatoonal high school Negeri 2 Kendari students was in the high category and female students had a higher level of learning readiness than male students
