No full textIn relation to the operational strategies of N26 it is evident that they have implemented different innovative business techniques and transformed the financial service model from partly traditional to fully digital one. The present paper has presented a critical analysis of the electronically operated supply chain of the bank N26 and provides recommendations to fulfil the gaps in the fintechs in order to learn from the efficiency and quality dimensions followed in N26.However, they transformed the need of collaboration with traditional banks into option through becoming self-sufficient in both the knowledge and expertise domain. Conversely to ensure efficiency gain in supply chain N26 has to deal with the challenges along with threats like fail to compete with other digital banks that cater to customers in countries where full digitalization of service is not supported. It is true that the organization is visioning good opportunities in new markets in developed countries like USA; if it does not modify its operations to fit with the needs of another chunk of customers living in developing world will miss the prospect to fully utilize its potential.It may be taken away by other firms allowing more flexibility of strategies suitable for those markets.Based on the analysis and discussion, N26 has to explore the effectiveness of new technologies to enter the market in the developing world and accordingly has to modify the mode of operations in the supply chain. NONLINEAR FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF GASKETED FLANGE JOINT UNDER COMBINED LOADING CONDITIONS
No full textGasketed-flanged pipe joints have been widely used in industries for connecting pressure vessels and pipes. Joint strength and sealing strength are most important factors in the bolted flange joint. Most of the research work focused on the structural strength of the flange joint under internal pressure only. The research work does not consider the nonlinear behavior of gasket used in the flange coupling. The leakage and distortion of gaskets in bolted flange joints at high temperature is a well recognized problem and makes the problem more complex under combined application of internal pressure and temperature. To investigate the gasket sealing performance under the combined thermal and pressure load in the flange coupling, three different gasket materials with nonlinear behaviour will be considered for the application. A nonlinear finite element analysis of gasketed flange joint is carried out using ANSYS commercial software. The material nonlinearity for the Gasket and flange joint are considered to evaluate the deflection and stresses in the gasket. The suitable gasket material will be selected for the application. Finite element model is also verified with the available classical theories and experimental setup

No full textShock absorber is a very key element in an automobile system, which is also an example of under damped vibration system. The aim of a Shock absorber is to absorb maximum shocks and vibrations in terms of kinetic energy and sometimes in terms of potential energy as well. Mechanical vibration exciters are necessary for modal testing of large components like, chassis, Shock absorbers. In this research, a shock absorber test rig using mechanical exciter has been developed for shock absorber testing and modal testing of Go-kart chassis. A Scotch-yoke mechanism is used for design of mechanical exciter. FEA software is used for static and modal analysis of exciter for determining natural frequency and FFT analyzer to determine the transmissibility of shock absorber. Also to validate the results obtained from FFT analyzer FEA software is used. Natural frequency of exciter is mainly depends on its mass and stiffness properties. The results of natural frequency and mode shapes are obtained from FEA software. The results obtained from the FFT analyzer will in the form of a waveform which is used to find out the transmissibility at various loads and speeds. The natural frequency of mechanical exciter is obtained from FEA software. Further, the FEA and experimental results of Transmissibility and natural frequency of mechanical exciter are compared for necessary corrections in design parameters of the shock absorber behavior and chassis

Since there is no generally accepted definition of the concept of “globalization”, this phenomenon is interpreted differently. While some interpret globalization as a way of thinking that is evolving on the basis of objective laws, others see it as an attempt to re-establish colonialism in a new form. The term "globalization" was coined in 1983 by the American political scientist T. Levitta. The new term was given a broader meaning at Harvard Business School. The main promoter of this term was the Japanese scientist K. Ome, who in 1991 published The World Without Borders. In this play he tried to reveal the essence of the concept of globalization
