No full textDuring conflict, children become more vulnerable due to the fact that they lack protection as the social structures (homes, church, schools and hospitals) responsible for their protection, wellbeing and development are usually fractured due to violence. In order to alleviate suffering of the vulnerable (children), humanitarian action serves as a means to recall to parties international laws regulating armed conflicts. With respect to this study, UNICEF and Plan International are in constant strive to ensure that children are being protected in the Boyo, Ndonga-Matum, Ngoketunja and Mezam Divisions in the North West region of Cameroon. The vulnerability of children often leads to sexual abuse, drug consumption and trafficking, maltreatment and exploitation. By adopting questionnaires and observation for the analysis of data, results show that the activities of UNICEF and Plan International have a positive impact on the four Division adopted for the study especially in the reduction of child abuse, providing shelter and food, and health amenities
