EFFECTS OF SALARY LOANS TO FINANCIAL WELLNESS OF PANACAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS

    No full text
The overall goal of this study is to look into the existing effects of salary loans on teachers' financial wellness at Panacan National High School. Teachers may be saved from their debts if the Department of Education implements institutional changes. This research followed a descriptive design and utilized online survey questionnaire as its method. Frequencies and percentages were computed to measures and examine the encountered problems of the respondent-teachers. The survey was conducted in Panacan National High School Teachers at Panacan, Narra, Palawan. Results shows that the financial capability of public-school teachers is far from what is desired and merely reflects the negative trend on financial capability nationally and all over the world. Contributing to this finding are the respondent-teachers’ deficient money management skills, low incidence of financial planning, and inadequate knowledge on basic financial concepts as reflected in their dismal performance in the financial literacy. Integrating financial education in the teacher education curriculum and in-service training of public-school teachers can be an effective means not only to enrich the academic training of future teachers, but also to empower them to secure a wealthier and prosperous future for themselves and for their family. While the current study provided server insights on the current level of financial capability of the public-school teachers in terms of its Financial Wellness. further research is necessary to validate these findings

GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY AND MASS SPECTROSCOPY OF JUNIPERUS PHOENICE STEM BARK EXTRACT AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE HAEMATO BIOCHEMICAL VALUES OF GROWING RABBITS

Juniperus phoenice stem bark have been source of wide array of bioactive compounds with endless therapeutic properties. This study evaluated the gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy of Juniperus phoenice stem bark extract and its influence on the haemato-biochemical values of growing rabbits. Gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy of Juniperus phoenice stem bark extract revealed the presence of 37 phytoconstituents with varying concentrations with total aggregate of 95.28 %. 40 – 6 weeks growing male rabbits (Newzealand white × chinchilla) weighing 456 ± 8.03 were randomly assigned to 4 groups (A, B, C and D) of 10 animals which was further divided into 5 replicates consisting of 2 rabbits each in a completely randomized design. Basal diet according to the nutrient requirement of rabbits outlined by NRC (1977). Animals in group A was fed basal diet with 0 % Juniperus phoenice stem bark extract (JPSB) while B, C and D were fed basal diet with JPSB at 3 mL, 6 mL and 9 mL once daily. It was observed that rabbits in group D fed 9 mL/day had a significantly (P˂0.05) higher pack cell volume, haemoglobin, red blood cell, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentrations, mean corpuscular volume, white blood cells and their differentials compared to the other treatment except basophil count were not significantly (P˃0.05) influenced by the treatments. Similarly, serum biochemical indices values were topmost in G3 (6 mL/day) and G4 (9 mL/day), midway in G2 (3 mL/day) and lowest in G1 (0 mL/day). Creatinine, urea and total bilirubin count were not significantly (P˃0.05) different among the treatments. It was concluded that JPSB has potential pharmaceutical properties and can be fed to growing rabbits up to 9 mL/day without jeopardizing the health of animals

IMPROVEMENT OF THE LIGHTING SYSTEM DURING THE TRACK MAINTENANCE ON ADDIS ABABA LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT

    No full text
Track maintenance realized at the right time is critical for achieving efficient and optimized maintenance and renewal work plans, thereby increasing the life of track component; whereas work done later is unquestionably unsafe, and maintenance and renewal costs rise exponentially as the railway track gets older. The rising demand for train service necessitates large investments in track maintenance and repair. The railway system's efficiency is increased through cost savings and better maintenance management. Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit Service (AA-LRTS) conducts the track maintenance during the night due to the fact that the track is no longer in operation within this period. Different precautions are undertaken in order to protect the manpower but the lighting issue is no longer well considered during the track maintenance while this light is more necessary to light the workplace and to carry out some activities such as the verification of the inner rail performance. The review of different articles related to the key words mentioned within the study topic and the observation carried out during the track maintenance with the maintenance team of AA-LRTS are referred to achieve the goal of this study. The present study is going to highlight the robustness and weakness concluded from the methods adopted by AA-LRTS for track maintenance. Various suggestions are mentioned for the optimum safety required to achieve a reliable maintenance operation and manpower life improvement.  By respecting the suggestions provided by the author, the maintenance team will develop the efficiency of the maintenance operation and the manpower life will be saved

STRESS-STRENGTH INTERFERENCE ANALYSIS OF AISI 4140 STEEL UNDER CONSTRAINED THERMAL EXPANSION USING MONTE-CARLO SIMULATION

    No full text
Material properties and stresses acting on machine parts are not point values but are statistically distributed. Consequently, it is possible for stress and strength distributions to overlap, exposing weaker materials to stresses greater than their strengths, leading to failure. A Monte Carlo simulation was conducted on AISI 4140 steel subjected to constrained thermal expansion using practical statistical distributions of material properties and environmental variables. The probability of failure of constrained and unstrained AISI 4140 steels were compared and the results showed a lower probability of failure for the latter. The results also showed that at low to moderate stress levels, mechanical load and thermal stress had relatively similar impact on the probability of failure. However, at high stress levels, the effect of mechanical load was predominant

    No full text
In preschool education, it is necessary to continue to teach children in small and preparatory groups methods of preparation of appliqués, introducing to the child simple methods of drawing with colored and simple black pencils, colored chalk, gouache, watercolor paints, various whiskers. The child's interest in decorative painting, the education of a sense of respect and admiration for the work of folk Masters, the continuation of acquaintance with the combination of elements of national patterns and colors, as well as the need to deepen his knowledge of patterns in national toys – colors, image accuracy, consistency, layout of elements in the composition

INVESTIGATING THE EFFECT OF USING SOCIAL NETWORKS IN VIRTUAL EDUCATION

    No full text
The social network is a social structure that consists of multiple nodes and these nodes can be individuals or organizations. These nodes, by one or more particular types of affiliation, are connected. In this paper we propose to examined the impact of social networks on learning technical and vocational college students. Assumptions based on communication, collaboration, sharing of resources, usefulness, access frequency, and flexible technologies were to help design. The population in this study consisted of all university students and technical professionals across the country. The number of students is over 175,000 people. The sample was a stratified random sample of 384 students were selected from 5 provinces and universities and the questionnaire required information through the web-based application Google Docs has been collected. To ensure reliability, a scale, Cronbach's alpha was used. Check validity well as the opinions of experts specialized in management science are used. To evaluate and analyze the data SPSS software is used. The results showed that the impact of social networking on virtual education with the help of factors: communication, collaboration, sharing of resources, usefulness, and flexible technologies direct and effective relationship and access frequency is not effective. Given the demographic characteristic variables: College, major, and GPA, these variables do not have a significant impact on the potential use of social networks to reach their educational goals. But variables such as gender, age, education, residence significantly impact the potential use of social networks to reach have educational goals, and these variables and can be a deterrent
