THE MAHATMA OF COMMUNICATION
Get PDFCommunication of any type has its root in the person’s personality and psyche. Person’s practices, philosophy and beliefs and clarity of means and ends affect his/ her communication style, use of words etc. Communication for Gandhi was the output of lot of thought process combined with experience and experiment and his words would come out with utmost clarity and conviction in an understandable language. If we want to see Gandhi from two sides they are as simple as the man himself: action and communication and communication and action. He was an enormous communicator and his communication ranged from individual to mass communication, from speeches to discussions, from writing to body language and from symbols to silence. This communication made him reach out to the rich and the poor, to the metros and hamlets, to the illiterate and the celebrities and intellectuals. The enormity of the reach of his communication and the penetration cannot be fathomed easily. In this article there is humble try to analyse Gandhi’s communication style and manner, the impact of his communication and what lessons can be gained from his method of communication

DISCRIMINATION AGAINST PERSONS AFFLICTED WITH LEPROSY AS A VIOLATION OF THEIR INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS
Get PDFLeprosy is a chronic but curable disease that causes skin lesion and nerve damage. Leprosy in India stood eliminated as public health problem as the number of occurrence went down to one per ten thousand cases, but in 2017, it made a comeback and several new cases were detected. It’s easily the most misunderstood disease in India. Victims of Leprosy are constantly discriminated against, both socially and legally. There are as many as 119 laws that discriminate against people afflicted with leprosy. The general notion of the disease is still plagued by misconceptions people held before it was incurable. The purpose of conducting the study was to bring in forefront the situation of people suffering from leprosy and their families and the discrimination they face in day today life. This study was carried out by naturalistic observation of a Leper colony in India; additional secondary data has analysed to carry out this research. It’s been observed that the society is not educated about the disease and lack of awareness poses to be a major roadblock in ensuring them an equal status in the society. Through the course of this study, it was realised that, though, there have been few progressive steps, like repeal of Lepers Act, 1898 and amendments in certain discrimination personal laws, but India still has a long way to go to ensure them basic human rights through policy changes and, by sensitisation of public about the particulars of the disease
A COMPARISON OF THE HAPPINESS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE KINGDOM OF BHUTAN AND IN JAPAN
Get PDFBhutan garnered attention by setting ‘Gross National Happiness’ (GNH) as a national policy to support the foundation of the country. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether primary school students in Bhutan are happy and to identify the characteristics of this happiness. The studies compared the happiness of primary school students in Bhutan and Japan. Participants in the investigation were from primary schools and in the 4th to 6th grades. The participants in the study were 48 students of a private primary school in Bhutan, 47 students of a private elementary school in Japan and 50 students of a public elementary school in Japan. The variance analysis was conducted to compare the degree of happiness by school. As a result, the effect between schools was significant (F (2,142) = 3.99, p < .05). According to multiple comparisons using Tukey b, ‘Bhutan’ was significantly higher than ‘Japan/Public’ (p < .05) in terms of happiness. The tendency of ‘when they are happy?’ shows that the students in Bhutan reported feeling happy in their relationships with people in their daily lives. Likewise, the tendency of ‘what do you want now?’ shows that students in Bhutan want to obtain things in the future, not the present. It was suggested that primary school students in Bhutan were relatively satisfied with what they have presently, and their future dreams and hopes may enhance the present subjective happiness

They feel unable to keep the rhythm of changing life and cope with the challenge of its time: globalization. Dynamics of their lives and their negative emotions related to it become out of their control. In this chapter I would like to present my observations as a clinical psychologist. I am going to explore the following issues: what does mean today to be neurotic? What are the signs of neurotic personality? COMPARING VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION SYSTEM OF TURKEY AND GERMANY
Get PDFEmploying individuals having desired qualifications for required and trained workforce is possible with a sense of qualified vocational and technical education. Vocational and technical education has fallen behind of general academic education in Turkey recently. This situation can be seen as a disadvantage for Turkey who has long term valuable targets to be productive society within the years of 2023 and 2071. So, analysing education system, curriculum and practices of other countries having important success in the field of vocational and technical education is thought to be helpful on explaining the source and reasons of this disadvantage. Germany, which has one of the most employment rate among OECD countries, is selected to be compared with Turkey by different aspects in the context of education system, curriculum and practices in this study. Because of analysing and comparing vocational and technical education system and curriculum of Turkey and Germany, interpretative paradigm, one of the qualitative research methods, was selected as a research method of the study. The findings obtained were discussed with regard to school facilities, curriculum and teacher training system. In this respect, this study is thought to make a great contribution to determine deficiency, activities and required fields on practice
THE IMPORTANCE AND FULFILLMENT OF THE SUCCESS CRITERIA IN PROJECTS IMPLEMENTED BY SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES

Projects are concrete manifestations of investments, there are no investments without projects, and without them the economy cannot grow substantially. The investments are so important in national economies as well. Investments are the main components of the gross domestic product, so they are the promoters of growth. However, projects are unsuccessful in many cases, because they aren’t prepared in time; don’t achieve the required performance they expect from them. A common cause of project failure is a poor planning process, budgetary problems, the missed investment calculations, or the omission of sustainability, relevance, and feasibility. These expectations are expressed in every project management course, all of the literature dealing with the projects, but the project actors don’t give the required relevance to them. The success of the project is contributed by many factors, among which are supporting, and hindering ones. Based on a classical project triangle, the key factors lead to the successful project are time, cost and effectiveness, these are the main project baselines. The Hungarian surveys show, that nearly three-quarters of the projects fail, in which the planning, financing and management also play a role. The aim of this study is to show the Hungarian SME’s opinion about the success factors, to pay attention to the critical areas in the project management as well. 
“STRIPPED WALLETS, RIPPED HEARTS” VICTIMS OF FINANCIAL FRAUD: AN ANALYSIS BEYOND FINANCIAL FRAUD
Get PDFThere is a strong sense of negativity attached to victims of financial fraud. Despite the media are filled with their stories, the comprehension of the real victimisation experiences are not that evident. Victims of financial fraud are often viewed as individuals who lost only their money. Along with that they are considered as greedy and a sense of blame is thrown at them. Therefore a study beyond the financial loss was warranted. The aim of this paper is to examine the impacts of fraud victimisation other than financial impact. As the first objective, the theoretical background, including victim blaming theory, just world theory, were analysed. Secondly the emotional and psychological impacts, reporting experiences and seeking formal help were examined in relation with the responses of the victims. Based on interviews with 30 victims of fraud which consisted of victims of swindling, embezzlement, credit card fraud and Ponzi scheme, this paper establishes the profound emotional and psychological impact post victimisation. The paper also examined victim blaming, relationship breakdown, vulnerability of older people and in the worst case suicide. 
HOW ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE WITHIN AUSTRALIA’S DEPARTMENT OF HOME AFFAIRS AFFECTS COMPLIANCE WITH THE REFUGEE CONVENTION-A METHODOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE LEGAL RESEARCH TRADITION
Get PDFThis paper describes and analyses the suitability of an auto-ethnographic approach as a data collection method for a legal research study. The present study centred on current Australian asylum and refugee decision-making process and the application of procedural fairness (PF) in complying with 1951 Refugee Convention (RC) and the 1967 Protocol by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). The researcher uses qualitative research methods for this study and developed an approach using his own experience in the industry as a Migration Lawyer for data collection. In the methodology, he will argue the importance, ethical considerations and relevance of this method as a worthwhile research practice to investigate the visa decision-making process of the DHA. The study aims to gain insight into the complexity and realities of the current DHA asylum and refugee decision-making process and the researcher primarily argues that if Australia claims it supports and protects asylum seekers and refuges and respects human rights, Australia should do so consistently with international human rights standards. However, it is pointed out in the literature that the DHA has issues within its organisational culture (OC); these, the researcher suggests, may impact upon its PF and decision-making of the DHA.Use of auto-ethnographic methods are very rare in legal research studies and by using this method the researcher is making a methodological contribution to the body of knowledge of law, as no similar study carried out in socio-legal studies in the past relating to the Australian Migration industry. This paper specifically discusses about various steps of preparation used by the researcher to overcome obstacles and challenges he faced in the use of his own experience by being an ‘insider’ in researching industry and its implementation in legal research.
