Time series forecasting is a significant domain, in fields such as economics, finance, and weather forecasting. The paper assesses time series forecasting that project forward-looking values based on on historical data. The common models used to capture the trend, seasonality, and anomalies within the time series data are ARIMA, SARIMA, and exponential smoothing. Forecast accuracy depends on the model choice and fine-tuning.  Validation and continuous refinement are necessary for reliability and adaptability to changing conditions. Time series forecasting is a valuable tool for decision-making, resource allocation, and planning. An ARIMA model forecasted Albanian exports, providing reliable forecasts for the near future and prioritizing recent observations over past data. One drawback is that new data were not applied to different models for improving future forecasts. Given Albania’s reliance on exports, periodic validation and refinement of model-building are critical. The ARIMA findings recommend 3, 2, and 3, applied in forecasting. Forecast errors were tested, proving model efficiency. Performance may vary by situation, so model assessment over time is essential. These models help researchers forecast Albania's annual exports

    Get PDF
The importance of employee well-being in healthcare is crucial because of the urgent and ongoing demands for the delivery of care and service to patients. The service level and treatment delivery are often inefficient, ineffective, and not patient-friendly due to high workloads, unforeseen tasks, emergencies, bad working circumstances, lack of managerial support, and inadequate equipment. These difficulties require comprehensive healthcare solutions that address all aspects of employee well-being. Nevertheless, there is a lack of research on how factors such as leadership styles and governance quality might improve employee sustainable performance in the healthcare sector.  This study examined the correlation between transactional, and ambidextrous leadership styles and the sustainable performance of employees in healthcare units. The study also examined how governance quality influences the connection between leadership styles and the sustainable performance of employees. The main objective of this research was to provide a framework for healthcare leadership and employee sustainability in order to improve healthcare services for the population of Nigeria. The study employed a cross-sectional quantitative approach, gathering data using both online and in-person survey questionnaires. The study sample comprised medical physicians employed in the public healthcare sector of the southeastern states in Nigeria. A method of sampling called proportionate stratified random sampling was employed to select a subset of individuals from the intended population. The software program SPSS was utilized to do descriptive statistical analysis, while the SmartPLS software was employed to examine the correlations between the variables using structural equation modeling.  We received a total of 117 responses that were usable. The results indicated a strong and favorable correlation between transactional, ambidextrous leadership styles, governance quality, and employee sustainable performance. The conditional path analysis indicated that there was no mediating effect of governance quality on the association between ambidextrous leadership styles and employee sustainable performance.  The transactional leadership styles and employee sustainable performance is totally mediated by governance quality. The study was noteworthy because its findings aligned with the theories of leadership, governance excellence, and employee sustainable performance. The study has furnished empirical evidence to practitioners and policymakers in health and public sector organizations regarding the correlation between leadership styles, employee sustainable performance, and the role of governance quality as a mediator. The findings emphasized the necessary leadership behaviors required for managing healthcare institutions and achieving long-term employee engagement. Health managers can enhance their understanding of organizational leadership, employee well-being, and institutional quality dynamics by utilizing a framework that enables them to reevaluate their competencies and identify areas for improvement. Future researchers are advised to employ larger sample sizes and qualitative research approaches in order to generalize the findings of this study. It is imperative to extend the inclusion of other groups, such as administrative workers and technicians, as they play a crucial role in the functioning of the healthcare delivery system. Conducting research on the extensive private healthcare sector, despite the fact that their employees' sustainable performance is not as poor as that of the public healthcare sector is needed

OCEAN FOR LIFE AND THE MISSION TO INCREASE INCOME FOR TARGET COMMUNITIES AROUND THE GULF OF THAILAND: ANALYSIS OF PERFORMANCE AND RECOMMENDATIONS

    Get PDF
The "Ocean for Life" project by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) aims to conserve and restore marine ecosystems while supporting economic growth and improving the quality of life in coastal communities. To achieve this, PTTEP has implemented a marine aquaculture learning center and a seafood product development project in 17 provinces around the Gulf of Thailand. The goal is to boost the income of participating communities.  To ensure the project's effectiveness and standards, PTTEP commissioned Thammasat University's Research and Consulting Center to study and evaluate the income of the target communities. The study found that the ongoing marine learning center project significantly increased marine life, leading to higher fish catches and helping to preserve local fishing jobs and reduce migration. However, the value of the catch did not increase proportionally with the amount caught. Key factors affecting income include boat operating expenses and maintenance costs, which vary by boat size and type.   Although the seafood product development project increased the quantity and variety of processed seafood, it did not significantly boost income for members compared to the learning center project. This is due to the abundance of similar products in the market, limited distribution methods, and inconsistent pricing. The research center recommended improvements in research and project development to help "Ocean for Life" achieve its future objectives

The main focus of this study is to clarify the differences in how markets are formed and changed in two markets where overlapping companies operate using same technologies. Drawing on insights from market category research, the following points are noted: (1) Market categories are embedded within broader social classification systems, which vary by society and culture, (2) when market categories are formed, they are shaped in relation to existing market categories, meaning that the characteristics of existing categories influence the creation of new ones. However, there have been few comparative studies of markets in different regions for products that use similar technology. In this study, we compared the market change process in the flat-panel TV markets of Japan and North America through content analysis of press releases published by companies. The comparative analysis revealed that the way in which market categories change differs between the flat-panel TV markets of Japan and North America. In terms of products, both the Japanese and North American markets saw a similar proportion of flat-panel TVs that could be used to access content and applications over the internet. In the North American market, a new category label was used for these flat-panel TVs with new functions, and a new market category was formed. In contrast, no new TV category was formed in the Japanese market. In the Japanese market, these TV was not introduced as a new type of TV, but as a conventional flat-panel TV with new functions added
