Forensic Services Laboratory Updates to Customer Service Notice 2025-03: Breath Testing Rooms
The DataMaster DMTs (149) in the Breath Testing Rooms at all Breath Testing Sites (104) in SC will be incrementally replaced by the SLED Implied Consent Department. The new instrument employs the same proven scientific method for alcohol analysis of Infrared Spectroscopy which has been utilized for the state’s breath testing program since 1991. The new instrumentation is called the INTOX DMT. It is still a DataMaster and is the third version of the instrument we have used in South Carolina
