Looking at calendar year 2019 compared to 2024, there has been a 79% increase in the total number of consumer complaints filed with the agency. HOA-specific complaints have increased 191% during this same time with 212 complaints filed in 2019 and 617 filed in 2024. HOA complaints comprised 10.5% of all complaints received by the Department in 2024
