Alligator Report
The 2024 Public Alligator Hunting Season marked the sixteenth general alligator hunting season after a closure of nearly 40 years. A total of 11,900 hunters applied for the alligator hunt, 1,913 of which chose the non-draw option to be excluded from the lottery and gain an additional preference point. The total number of alligators reported taken during the 2024 public alligator hunting season was 395, an increase of 15 alligators from the 2023 season
