Enhancing Hotel Management: a Sentiment Analysis Approach to Assessing Customer Impressions on Environment-Based Reviews
Purpose: This study aims to examine hotel reviews, with a specific emphasis on environmental aspects. Employing advanced sentiment analysis techniques, we delve into user sentiments expressed in evaluations.
Theoretical Framework: The theoretical framework utilizes sentiment analysis to delve into hotel reviews, emphasizing the environment. Focused on key areas such as staff service (professionalism and friendliness), hotel environment and facilities (beautiful décor and cleanliness), and affordability with a friendly pricing strategy.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This study involves the manual collection and analysis of 3,475 hotel review from Centara Hotel & Convention Center Udon Thani. The methodology includes systematic steps: Preprocessing (removing irrelevant charcters and stopword), Feature Extraction (identifying key elements), Classification (using Logistic Regression for binary sentiment analysis), and Prediction (applying the model to categorize new reviews).
Findings: In our findings, Logistic Regression effectively categorized reviews into positive or negative sentiments, boasting a robust macro precision of 0.80. Notably, positive evaluations showed superior prediction results, with a high recall value of 0.84 percent, contributing to an impressive overall accuracy of 86 percent. These results highlight the efficacy of Logistic Regression in distinguishing sentiment categories, affirming its suitability for this analysis.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: In summary, focusing on enhancing staff service, maintaining a pristine hotel environment, and offering friendly, affordable services has the potential to greatly boost customer satisfaction and overall business performance. These strategic efforts not only generate positive feedback but also lead to increased competitive advantages and expanded market share in the fiercely competitive hotel industry.

EFFECTIVENESS OF THE BUSINESS FAILURE PREDICTION MODELS IN THE IBERIAN TRANSPORT COMPANIES
Purpose: validate, in the existing models, its effectiveness and ability to provide useful information for decision-making, allowing the choice of one that presented as the best alternative for predicting bankruptcy for companies in the transport economic sector (NACE H) up to 6 years before it occurs.
Theoretical Framework: in the last decades, since Beaver's (1966) preliminary work in bankruptcy prediction, followed by Altman (1968) models, numerous authors developed different techniques and models to this purpose. Of all the techniques used and developed in almost 60 years of bankruptcy prediction study, Multivariate Discriminant Analysis (MDA) stands out. Despite its limitations, it best combines management and usage simplicity offering stable levels of efficiency.
Design/Methodology/Approach: we selected, Portuguese and Spanish companies, from the transport and storage economic sector, subject to statutory auditing, in a sample of 22 companies, considered healthy, according to the most common criterion in the literature: Equity above zero, during six and that in the seventh were considered bankrupt (Equity below zero) and another, paired with the previous one, by Total Assets and Revenues, with 36 companies that presented Equity above zero throughout all the analyzed period, granting the analyzed models full forecasting potential. Were used 21 multi-sectorial models, for different timelines and geographies, with a greater presence in the literature, or developed by Edward Altman, a unique researcher on this subject, between 1979 and 2014.
Findings: As a main conclusion, in addition to the description of models and techniques, the formulations developed by Carvalho das Neves (1998), Lizarraga (1998) and Monelos et al. (2011) were the best predictors of bankruptcy, up to 6 years before it occurs, for Portuguese and Spanish companies in the transport economic sector (NACE H).
Research, Practical & Social Implications: This information can be used by any interested entity to improve current conditions, optimize and enhance the usage the bankruptcy forecast models.
Originality/Value: The global financial crisis and the growing number of company closures make it crucial to understand the causes of corporate failure, with emphasis on forecasting and anticipating it

DOES SUBNATIONAL PUBLIC FINANCE COMPONENTS AFFECT STATES’ FISCAL SUSTAINABILITY IN NIGERIA?
Objective: The study examined the effect of subnational public finance components on states’ fiscal sustainability in Nigeria. Specifically, the study sought to examine the effect of internally generated revenue and statutory allocation, on states’ fiscal sustainability.
Theoretical Framework: Keynesian theory suggests that public expenditure revitalizes the economy, and increases the rate of fiscal unsustainability, which in turn makes households feel wealthier on the basis of government spending and leads to an increase in savings.
Method: An ex-post facto research design was adopted to carry out the research for the period 2016-2022. The panel data were collected and sourced from Audited Financial Statements of subnational, CBN statistical Bulletin, CBN Annual report and accounts, and other publications of 36 states. Ordinary least square regression was used to analyse the hypothesis with the aid of E-views 12.
Results and Discussion: The study found that internally generated revenue has a significant effect on states’ fiscal sustainability in Nigeria. The study also found that statutory allocation has a significant effect on states’ fiscal sustainability. The study recommends that sub-nationals should ensure a steady increase in internally generated revenue which will help to control the level of fiscal sustainability and increase the statutory allocation sharing formula in favour of sub-nationals because many states are unable to finance their expenditure.
Research Implications: Furthermore, the viability of many states and the need to allocate more resources and power to the lower-tier governments to enhance their fiscal capability and operational efficiency.
Originality/Value: This study has provided new evidence on the contribution of fiscal policy in increasing the sustainability index of debt to GDP among 36 states in Nigeria using up-to-date data set through the pairwise methodology
