A Generalised Family of Estimator for Estimating Unknown Variance Using Two Auxiliary Variables
The present study deals with the estimation of unknown variance using two auxiliary variates under simple random sampling without replacement (SRSWOR) scheme. We have also extended our work to the case of the double sampling scheme. The asymptotic expressions for the mean squared errors of the proposed estimators are derived and their optimum values have been obtained. A comparison between the existing and the proposed class of estimators of Sy2 has been made empirically with the help of two population data taken from [1] and [10]
A Family of Unbiased Modified Linear Regression Estimators
In this paper, a family of modified linear regression estimators has been proposed which are unbiased. The variance of the proposed estimators and the conditions for which the proposed estimators perform better than the classical ratio estimator and the existing modified ratio estimators have been obtained. Further, we have shown that the classical ratio estimator, the existing modified ratio estimators, and the usual linear regression estimator are the particular cases of the proposed estimators. It is observed from the numerical study that the proposed estimators perform better than the ratio estimator and the existing modified ratio estimators

Generalised Synthetic Estimator Using Double Sampling Scheme and Auxiliary Information
In Small Area Estimation there are two type of estimation Direct and Indirect Estimation. The word ‘Synthetic Estimation’ was coined by National Centre for Health Statistics (1968) for the method of estimation. The term ‘Synthetic’ was used because these estimates were not derived directly from survey results. So ‘Synthetic Estimation’ is indirect method of estimation. If we want to use auxiliary information for estimation and the information is not available, this leads to the synthetic estimation under double sampling scheme. In this paper we propose a quadratic synthetic estimator and generalised ratio and product synthetic estimator under this scheme and compare their efficiency
Certain Characterizations of Tight Gabor Frames on Local Fields
Gabor systems are generated by modulations and translations of a single function. Many researchers studied Gabor frames in Hilbert spaces. The concepts Gabor frames on local fields, first introduced by Li and Jiang. They studied the existence of a Gabor frame on local fields and also established some necessary conditions and two sufficient conditions of Gabor frame for local fields. Inspired by the above paper, in this paper, we study certain characterizations of tight Gabor frames on the local fields of positive characteristic
On Enestrom – Kakeya Theorem
In this paper, we obtain some interesting Eneström-Kakeya type theorems concerning the location of zeros of polynomials. Our results extend and generalize Some well-known results by putting less restrictive conditions on coefficients of polynomials
Some Elementary Inequalities Between Mean and Standard Deviation
Some inequalities for the mean and standard deviation of continuous probability distributions are presented here in this paper and their geometrical significance has also been discussed. It has been shown that the inequalities obtained in this paper are better than the inequalities discussed by J. Muilwijk[6]

The Emergence of the Idea of Irrationality In Renaissance Theoretical Music Contexts
This paper intends to consider the interrelationships between mathematics and music in the context of changes in the conception of music during the Renaissance. Western music developed from relying on a cosmological-mathematical-speculative model, in which attention was focused on the rational activity of speculation, to a mathematical-empirical model, in which the main emphasis lay on the quality of the sound itself and on its laws and effects on people. Musical concepts such as temperament, division of the tone, changes in the foundations of theoretical music, mathematical-structural changes in theories of ratio and consequently the emergence of the idea of irrationals and number continuum in theoretical music contexts will be considered here in order to understand the substratum of such a change in the conception of western music
