Double Auction used Artificial Neural Network in Cloud Computing
Double auction (DA) algorithm is widely used for trading systems in cloud computing. Distinct buyers request different attributes for virtual machines. On the other hand, different sellers offer several types of virtual machines according to their correspondence bids. In DA, getting multiple equilibrium prices from distinct cloud providers is a difficult task, and one of the major problems is bidding prices for virtual machines, so we cannot make decisions with inconsistent data. To solve this problem, we need to find the best machine learning algorithm that anticipates the bid cost for virtual machines. Analyzing the performance of DA algorithm with machine learning algorithms is to predict the bidding price for both buyers and sellers. Therefore, we have implemented several machine learning algorithms and observed their performance on the bases of accuracy, such as linear regression (83%), decision tree regressor (77%), random forest (82%), gradient boosting (81%), and support vector regressor (90%). In the end, we observed that the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) provided an astonishing result. ANN has provided 97% accuracy in predicting bidding prices in DA compared to all other learning algorithms. It reduced the wastage of resources (VMs attributes) and soared both users\u27 profits (buyers & sellers). Different types of models were analyzed on the bases of individual parameters such as accuracy. In the end, we found that ANN is effective and valuable for bidding prices for both users

Due to the tremendous amount of data available today, extracting essential information from such a large volume of data is quite tough. Particularly in the case of text documents, which need a significant amount of time from the user to read the material and extract useful information. The major problem is identifying the user\u27s relevant documents, removing the most significant pieces of information, determining document relevancy, excluding extraneous information, reducing details, and generating a compact, consistent report. For all these issues, we proposed a novel technique that solves the problem of extracting important information from a huge amount of text data and using previously read documents to generate summaries of new documents. Our technique is more focused on extracting topics (also known as topic signatures) from the previously read documents and then selecting the sentences that are more relevant to these topics based on update summary generation. Besides this, the concept of overlapping value is used that digs out the meaningful words and word similarities. Another thing that makes our work better is the Dice Coefficient which measures the intersection of words between document sets and helps to eliminate redundancy. The summary generated is based on more diverse and highly representative sentences with an average length. Empirically, we have observed that our proposed novel technique performed better with baseline competitors on the real-world TAC2008 dataset
Analysis of the Historical Temperature of Different Cities of Pakistan to Determine the Trends and Shift in Temperature
Antrhopogenic activities are responsible for exponential increase in temperature in recent dacades. To examine this variation, data from 30 meteorological stations in Pakistan\u27s largest cities were examined to determine the annual average and highest temperatures between 1981 and 2020. A combination of parametric and non-parametric tests, including Sen\u27s slope estimator, the Mann-Kendall trend test, and linear regression, were utilized for the analysis. NASA Power Data Access Viewer provides historical climatic datasets which are reliable and provide promising results. We extracted historical footprints of climatic data from NASA website and mapped the trends. About 90% of the meterological stations had rising annual temperature trends, whereas 10% had declining trends. The average annual temperature increased by 0.49 °C per decade in Gilgit, Hyderabad, Quetta, and Lasbela, which was the largest rate of change. Chitral, Gilgit, Nawabshah, and Quetta experienced the biggest increase in annual temperature that was 0.34 °C per decade. Various indicators e.g., simple linear regression and the Mann-Kendall test, respectively, revealed that the yearly average temperature was rising at a 0.001 % (at the 0.06 level). Annual temperatures were increasing at 27 stations and 23 stations were experiencing 0.002 level of significance (at the 0.06 level). Overall, the findings indicated that all climatic parameters were increasing, but during the study period, the annual average temperature was increasing more quickly than the annual maximum temperature
Service Oriented Architecture for Agriculture System Integration with Ontology
Ontology is becoming a famous technique for converting unstructured data into meaningful data which acts as a key factor for decision-making, planning, and implementation in many areas, and agriculture is one of them. There are a lot of issues in agriculture practices e.g., farming, application of pesticides, and provision/ distribution of water to crops. However, some of the issues are critical and need to be resolved urgently to save cultivation from big hazards. In this paper, we have analyzed a few issues based on available literature. A variety of issues are faced in agriculture constantly and need to be resolved on an urgent basis. We have discussed the various ontology systems to acquire more precise results. Since ontology is based on a relation of data through which a user can get the maximum efficiency. Among all the challenges in agriculture, the lack of context-aware agriculture employs ontology with high concerns. This paper proposes a model to fill the gap in a service-oriented architecture
Emotional Intelligence, Motivation and Dysfunctional Attitude among Patients with Substance Use: Cognitive Behavior Therapy
The study explores the significant predictive relationship between emotional intelligence, motivation, and dysfunctional attitude among substance use patients with the role of cognitive behavior therapy. The sample was comprised of 150 addictive patients. Among 150 patients, 40 were selected for intervention. The sample was divided into two groups of 20 each in the experimental and controlled groups. Participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique from Poly Clinic Jhelum, Punjab, Pakistan. To estimate the constructs following scales were used Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form Scale, Situational Motivation Scale, Dysfunctional Attitude Scale Short Form and Drug Abuse Screening Test all in Urdu. Patients with a high level of dysfunctional attitude were selected for intervention. For each participant, 12 sessions were planned. The statistical calculations were done using Statistical Package for Social Sciences(V-26). Regression analysis confirmed that emotional intelligence and motivation is a significant predictors of dysfunctional attitudes in substance used patients [R²=.066; F (2, 147) = 5.198, p<.01] with 6.6% explained variation in the dysfunctional attitude due to emotional intelligence and motivation. The effectiveness of cognitive behavior therapy was also evident with the experimental groups mean score of emotional intelligence (M=78.6, M = 169.00), motivation (M=58.1, M = 92.10) and dysfunctional attitude (M=61.1, M = 26.00) pre and posttest scores. It indicates that Cognitive Behavior Therapy was effective in the treatment of drug addicts to deal with lower levels of motivation and emotional intelligence as well as higher dysfunctional attitudes.

Development and Validation of Parental Attachment Styles Scale for Adolescents
Objective: To construct an instrument and establish psychometric properties to measure parental attachment styles for adolescents in Urdu language
Study Design: Cross-sectional analytical study.
Place and Duration of Study: This research was carried out in the Department of Psychology, University of Gujrat, Pakistan, . 20. 20. 20. 20 2019 to Jan. 5 Jan. Jan. 5 5 2021.
Material and Methods: Initial item pool (150 items), based on Ainsworth et al. (1985) attachment styles theory, intensive review of the literature, and focus group interviews (Girls=30, Boys=30. Among the 141 items, shortened by an expert panel, the pilot study retained 137 reliable items for final administration. Furthermore, 1200 adolescents (12-19 years) from the community and educational institutions were approached to gather information in district Gujrat..ereh here data was analyzed with the help of exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and reliability analysis on SPSS-22 and Amos-22. F
Results: Exploratory factor analysis on SPSS-22 explored 38 reliable items for the Parental Attachment Styles scale under three -sub-factors; Secure Attachment, Anxious-Resistance Attachment, and Anxious-Avoidant Attachment, whereas 15 items were confirmed for the final instrument through model fit (P-value=.000, CFI=.947, GFI=.947, AGFI= .927, RMSEA=.064) of Confirmatory Factor Analysis.
Conclusion: An assessment tool in the Urdu language to estimate Parental Attachment Styles for adolescents is competently developed and validated with 15 items and three sub-scales
Development and Psychometric Properties of Adult Ostracism Scale
The main objective of the current research was the development of the ostracism scale in the Urdu language to shed the light on this invisible harassment and abuse which is the most ignored part of society yet a very common method to exclude people from social groups. A total of 40 items developed through an adequate process with the help of William’s need and threat model. A sample of 200 participants in the age range of 18 to 40 years was selected for data collection through a simple random sampling technique. After analysis, the sample adequacy was 0.915 with 4 factors including self-esteem, control, meaningful existence and belonging which are the four fundamental needs of humans. CFA is .903 with the removal of 18 items in the scale and sample adequacy of the remaining 22 items of the scale is .924 with reliability of α = .937. 7 items subscale “self-esteem” reliability value is α = .866, 6 items subscale “control” reliability is 8.25, 5 items subscale “meaningful existence” reliability value is α = 844 and 4 items subscale “belonging” reliability value is α = .704. In Pakistani culture, it is very common to exclude someone without giving attention to the psychological factors the excluded person will face. This research will provide a direction to further research and awareness about ostracism which is rarely known by individuals but yet faces every day
Assessing the Impact of Air Pollution on Peri-Urban Agriculture in Lahore City, Pakistan
Agriculture is a sector that is particularly susceptible to the negative impacts of air pollution due to the nature of the industry. Air pollution is a continuous global concern that significantly affects numerous sectors. In direct reaction to the increasing worries about the potential adverse impacts of air pollution on agricultural activities, we conducted an extensive research project that centered on eight specific plant varieties, namely cabbage, brinjal, bitter gourd, round gourd, okra, zinnia flower, vinca rosea, and red sunflower. The research leverages the capabilities of remote sensing to collect and analyze aerial and satellite imagery, providing a comprehensive view of agricultural areas and their interaction with air quality. To conduct an in-depth analysis of the effects that air pollution has on the expansion and maturation of plant life, these plants were grown in two distinct habitats (polluted and non-polluted) for a period of 21 and 42 days. The results of this study showed that contaminated environment cause plants to experience serious morphological and physiological disruptions. These disturbances included inhibited growth, disrupted photosynthesis, and modifications in leaf characteristics such as leaf area, leaf area index, and CF. All these factors have major consequences for food security and ecological balance. These measurements were employed to assess the impact of air pollution on the well-being of plants and their potential productivity. The outcomes of this study highlight how important it is to adopt comprehensive measures to reduce air pollution immediately. It highlights the significance of strong emissions controls, sustainable urban planning, and measures to reforest the earth. By integrating remote sensing technology, we can effectively monitor land use patterns, detect changes in vegetation health, and evaluate the spatial distribution of air pollutants. By addressing the root causes of air pollution and devising solutions, we can safeguard the agricultural sector, enhance environmental health, and ensure a sustainable future for ecosystems and human well-being
Salinity and Fertility Status of Irrigated soils in District Nankana Sahib, Punjab Pakistan
The soil is the basic medium for growth of plant as it supplies essential nutrients and water required for plant processes. The productivity of crop is highly dependent upon fertility and salinity of soil. Current study was carried out to explore and analyze the soils of Tehsil Nankana Sahib (Nankana, Shahkot, Sangilla) for its salinity, sodicity and fertility status at union council level from 2018-2021. A total 2030 soil samples were collected from three Tehsils of District Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Pakistan. The results indicated that the soil salinity status about 33.9% (690 samples) soils were non-saline, 23.6% (480 samples) saline sodic, 28.5% (580 samples) sodic and only 13.8% (280 samples) were saline. Maximum problematic soil was found in tehsil Nankana Sahib while minimum in Sangilla. As for the soil fertility status of District Nankana Sahib is concerned, 60.1% soils were poor in organic matter (OM) that was observed in 1220 samples, and 39.1% medium range organic matter was observed from the 794 samples while 7.8% from the only 160 samples that were approaching the adequate range. The available phosphorus in soils was found poor among 26.1% (530 samples), 56.1% medium (1140 samples) and the adequate range of available phosphorus was 17.7% (360 samples).

The Safeguard measures for mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on radiotherapy services in a Cancer Hospital: A resource-constrained approach
This article suggests the preventive measures for healthcare department (particularly radiotherapy department) to reduce the probability of corona virus transmission with a resource constrained approach without affecting the work flow. COVID-19 has affected the patients as well as staff of radiotherapy department leaving a severe negative impact on the financial resources of INOR cancer hospital, Abbottabad. Multiple preventive measures have been taken to reduce the probability of spreading the coronavirus while pursuing the timely treatment of radiotherapy patients without compromising their oncological outcomes. In this context, a triage center was established to filter out the Covid suspected/confirmed patients to reduce the risk of infection to other patients and staff. Social distancing was ensured by making amendments in patient gathering areas. Also extensive ventilation and disinfection procedures were adopted to clean the surfaces. Following these measures, patient flux did not show any considerable decrease in second, third and fourth wave as compared to first wave when patient flux reduced to about less than 25 %. Preventive measures were also taken for the employees by ensuring them to wear personal protective equipment during office hours. To further reduce the probability of contact, telemedicine was adopted for patients where possible. All employees were made to be fully vaccinated by July 2021 resulting in 100 % reduction in new cases among INOR employees in the following fourth COVID wave. Owing to these stringent measures taken to fight against coronavirus, ratio of contracting the coronavirus among the employees and patients of INOR has been found <10% overall in this pandemic, While no mortality has been reported so far.
