Deregulation: the effect of market-led approach to Nigerian universities management
oai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6This paper examines the effects of market-led approach Nigeria universities management concept deregulation from a market-led point of view to evaluate its effect on the management of university education in Nigeria. From many debates and argument put forward on the discussion of deregulation, it is very clear that deregulation policy was introduced for the purpose of enhancing productivities of public sectors or government-owned establishment. The establishment of deregulation policy has created opportunities for different individuals and groups to participate or take ownership of some public sectors in the quest for providing better services and making profits. However, widens the gap in knowledge about whether or not taking ownership of public sector business has generated profit or not. This paper is desk research and intends to review issues unturned in the past literature on how deregulation has now suddenly become a market-led approach to the Nigerian Universities Management. The paper revealed that Nigerians are keen on getting the best quality education irrespective of how the education systems are put up to be achieved. Likewise, the government has not been able to deregulate any of the public universities they owned rather university provisions have been commercialized and extended to private individuals
A study on - evaluating marketing strategies adopted by home appliance for economic development in India
The domestic consumer electronics and durables sector have witnessed a substantial growth over the last few years. This sector plays an important part in the economy of the country and provides employment to millions of people, more importantly to a large number of women in the country. Giving consumers greater bargaining power which in turn has forced particular product to devise strategies that they consider suit the ever-changing marketing environment in order to be competitive and it’s for reason that this study evaluated promotion, price variation, location and improved customer as strategies adopted for competitive edge and identify a strategy with greater returns. India can emerge as the future manufacturing hub for the region, provided there is adequate focus and support from the Government for this sector
An analysis of assessment models employed by the Indonesian elementary school teachers
The present study was conducted to analyze the assessment models employed by Indonesian elementary school teachers in the context of assessment models as suggested by the curriculum in 2013. The analysis includes the selected assessment models and their implementation in real classroom settings to assess the students’ attitudes, knowledge, and skills. This study made use of a qualitative research design in which the data were analyzed by means of deep argumentation and presented descriptively. Data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the selected elementary school teachers. The collected data were analyzed in an analytical manner to obtain the findings. The findings of the present study indicated that primary school teachers employed various models of assessment based on the aspects of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Assessment of the students’ attitude includes observation, self-assessment, peer assessment, and teachers’ records. Assessment of the students’ knowledge includes a written test, an oral test, and assignment. Assessment of the students’ skill includes performance, portfolio, and project. Meanwhile, the scores of the students’ achievement were analyzed based on the scores of the students’ attitude obtained by using the instruments, such as observation blank sheet, Self-assessment, peer assessment, and teacher’ records. Self-assessment and peer assessment were also used as a confirmation of the scores for the report card and the teachers’ records were mainly used to provide the suggestions for the students’ improvement
Economic impacts of craftsman statue on community based tourism development
This study examines the "Economic Impact of Craftsmen Statue on Community Base Tourism Development in Tohpati village Klungkung Bali". The core concept of economic problems is the imbalance between unlimited human needs and the means of satisfying the needs of a limited number. Economics should not be emphasized through the point, but it should be emphasized as an approach to explain human behavior (Gary Becker). The economic system is a means used to regulate all economic activities in society whether done by the government or private in order to achieve prosperity and prosperity together. The Economic system can be divided into three namely: a First capitalist economic system that is all economic activity submitted to the market. Second, the communist economic system is all things governed by the government. The third is a mixed economic system that is a combination of the two economic systems above (capitalist and communist). Indonesia should adopt a mixed economic system because firstly, Indonesia is an emerging country, where market failures often occur due to uneven information or accessibility to transportation and communication facilities. The second is that there are still many Indonesian people are below the poverty line. Thirdly most Indonesians have businesses that are still classified into small and medium enterprises that still can not compete perfectly with a bigger business

The paper presents a proposal related to the implementation of an Inter-University Network and Research Centers in the Ibero-American area, related to the management of spatial information using the Techniques of Information Technology and Communications (ICT), where it is proposed as a coordinating center and manager of knowledge to the Technical University of Manabí for having special geographical conditions and professionals with experience in the management of spatial databases and Geoportals. Universities and research centers are a reservoir of knowledge with high potential for the scientific and technical development of society. The Technical University of Manabí in Ecuador is an institution committed to the future of society, which outlines its vision of work in the implementation of projects that allow the use of technical and professional skills of students and teachers. In the current decade, projects are being developed at an international level aimed at strengthening the role of spatial information for the management of sustainable development on a social scale. Corporate social responsibility, green banking, and going concern on banking company in Indonesia stock exchange
The issue was raised in the present research was related to the influence of Green Banking implementation on the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Going Concern of Banking Companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study aimed at testing and obtaining empirical evidence on the influence of Green Banking implementation on the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Going Concern on Banking Companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study applied the secondary data sources and data types used was quantitative data, collected through documentation studies. The data analysis technique used was the Statistical Package For Social Sciences (SPSS) with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) approach or interaction test. The result of the hypothesis testing showed that the implementation of Green Banking was able to strengthen the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Going Concern on Banking Companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The expected contribution could be obtained from the results of the research was to assist the management in the banking sector in implementing Green Banking related to Corporate Social Responsibility and Going Concern on banking companies, as well as consideration for stakeholders in the banking sector in decision making

Developing learning methods of Indonesian as a foreign language
The present study was conducted which aims at developing teaching methods of Indonesian as a foreign language. This study was carried out for two years in the form of Research and Development design to develop accuracy of teaching methods to be employed to teach the Indonesian language. The study was conducted as an important and crucial issue encountered by prospective teachers of Indonesian as a foreign language to face global challenges in which teachers of Indonesian are urgently required to teach effectively. In addition, this study was conducted to prepare the Indonesian teachers to be professional teachers and ready to face the competitive world of work. In the first year, the research was focused on creating a draft of effective learning methods to teach Indonesian as a foreign language. Consequently, this study was started by analyzing the teaching methods that have been used by various language learning institutions. The second year, the study is mainly focused on trying out and validated the learning methods to ensure their effectiveness to teach Indonesian as a foreign language
Collaboration as a strategy for poverty alleviation
The poverty issue was very complex regarding various aspects of life, therefore, poverty alleviation was needed an involvement of the various parties. In order to be able to cooperate with various parties was required a deep cooperation. This descriptive qualitative research aims to analyze the cooperation of various parties in the poverty alleviation. The data were collected through interviews with the Poverty Alleviation Coordination Team and the key informant. The results show that cooperation in the poverty alleviation was limited in coordination between work units of the regional apparatus. The coordination was undertaken in the context of programming, implementing, and evaluating of the poverty alleviation. However, the coordination has not been maximized due without involving the private sector and universities who were also members of the poverty alleviation coordination team. The cooperation was more optimal when applying the collaboration principles. Therefore, a deeper cooperation was needed than just coordination, that was, in the form of collaboration. The collaboration in the form of collaboration between various parties could be an innovative strategy in the poverty alleviation
Improving cooperative performance through human resource development efforts
Improving cooperative performance as one of the national and regional reconstruction teachers should be continuously carried out unlike the steps and anticipation by the many cooperatives that are bankrupt or disabled. The one aspect that needs to be improved was the aspect of Human Resources (HR) becomes manager and management of existing cooperatives. In order to realize it, the Department of Cooperatives and UMKM Bali Province has implemented various programs to improve the performance of cooperatives human resources that have been registered. The present research was conducted to measure the success level of human resource development from cooperative and relate to the cooperative performance that collected by Department of Cooperatives and UMKM during in 2016 period. The result of the document study was obtained concluded that have been done competency certification program for the manager and cooperative management, program education and training was attended by 1200 managers and cooperative management in Bali Province during in 2012 until 2016 period. Based on the programs that have been done, the Department of Cooperatives and UMKM Bali Province recorded a working realization of 218.89% or has exceeded the target set
