Auditor skepticism: Papuan case
The current research aimed to know the influence of audit’s experience, independence, audit’s competence, audit’s situation, time budget pressure, and gender of the audit’s professional skeptic. This research was conducted at the BPKP agency of Papua, Indonesia. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling method with some criteria. The analysis’ technic used regression doubled linear analysis. According to the result of the partial test, it was found that independence, the audit’s situation, and gender had a positive influence on the audit’s professional skeptic. Audit’s experience, audit’s competence, and time budget pressure did not influence significantly to the audit’s professional skeptic
A study on effectiveness of training and development programs
The Indian banking industry is endlessly going through a process of transformation since the nineties, due to the introduction of Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization (LPG), Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Therefore in order to sustain the economic and effective performance of Human Resource, it is important to optimize their contribution to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the organization through training and development. This paper main objective is to examine the level of performance in terms of imparting training. The second objective is to examine the effectiveness of training and development programs for employees in fulfillment of their duties. A present research paper is of descriptive type and based on primary data collected through a questionnaire filled by the bank employees. The data have been checked through statistical software to find the impact of training and development on employees’ performance. There are two variable Training and Development (Independent) and Employees’ performance (Dependant). The present paper explained that training and development are inevitable and unavoidable. Anyone can cope up with the existing challenges in the wake of severe competition with training and development only
Hedonic shopping motivation, shopping lifestyle, price reduction toward impulse buying behavior in shopping center
The study aimed to determine the effect of hedonic shopping motivation, shopping lifestyle, price reduction on impulse buying behavior in Mall Bali Galeria Shopping Center Denpasar. The study population was visitors to Mall Bali Galeria. There were 90 sample respondents. Sampling using accidental sampling technique. The technique used for data collection using a questionnaire with a Likert scale measurement tool. The type of data used in the current study was qualitative and quantitative data. The data analysis method used was a validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis tests using the SPSS version 22.0 application. The study results stated that the variable hedonic shopping motivation, shopping lifestyle, price reduction has a positive and significant effect partially and simultaneously on impulse buying behavior in Mall Bali Galeria Shopping Center Denpasar
Sustainability practices as competitive edge on five star hotels of delhi: a study on manager’s perception
The study aims to conduct an analysis describing the sustainable strategy available for hotels, evaluating its potential to create competitive advantage and exploring how its implementation influences other actors in the industry specifically and the whole area development generally. For the purpose of this study, Delhi has been chosen with a focus on the Five Star and Five-star Deluxe Hotels of the city. A survey was conducted with the employees working in 15 Five stars and Five-star Deluxe Hotels in Delhi. According to the analysis, the sustainable efforts of the hotel include environmental, social and economic initiatives. The results of the survey highlighted the sustainability practices that are being adopted and the extent of their implementation by these hotels. It also showed the relationship between a hotel’s sustainability practices and employees’ satisfaction. Furthermore, the study has explored the ability of sustainable efforts to create a unique reputation for the hotel which may enable it to gain a competitive edge. The latter, in turn, attracts the business customers who consider the sustainable hotel as a valuable partner for their own reputation. All in all, as sustainability practices enhance profitability, it is considered a source of completive advantage
Hospital strategy in Gianyar regency facing the era of national health insurance
Premagana Gianyar Hospital as a private hospital has participated in the JKN program since the end of 2015. In its participation, Premagana Gianyar Hospital has experienced several problems due to the existing JKN system. Problems experienced are due to the fact that the number of costs incurred by the hospital is greater than the costs that come out, outpatient patients still need to be supported which certainly makes the costs incurred higher than the cost of the claim, and the latest on the BPJS Health online referral system is very detrimental, because, since the enactment of the online referral system, outpatient visits to the Premagana Gianyar Hospital polyclinic began to decline. A mature strategy is needed to face the era of BPJS Health in the future amid various issues and changes that occur. This study aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Premagana Gianyar Hospital is facing the era of national health insurance and to find out the Business Strategy of Premagana Gianyar Hospital in Gianyar Regency in the face of the era of National Health Insurance
Influence of employee training and promotion on employee performance to Subang Paddy research center
The paper aimed to find out, explain, and analyze training, employee promotion, and work performance of Subang Paddy Research Center employees. To explain the magnitude of the relationship between training and promotion of employees, the magnitude of the effect of training on employee performance, the magnitude of the effect of employee promotions on employee performance both partial and simultaneous. This study uses path analysis, which analyzes the causal relationship to separate the direct effect and indirect effect of a cause variable on the effect variable. The number of samples taken was 150 respondents using the Disproportionate stratified random sampling technique. This is expected to contribute to the development of the field of management, especially human resource management. The research method used by the author in this study uses descriptive and verification methods
Identifying and ranking the factors associated with supply chain management improvement using AHP method
The aim of this research is to identify and rank the factors associated with supply chain management improvement. Methods: The present study is an applied research in terms of its purpose and is a descriptive and survey study in terms of its methodology. The sample of this study was selected from the senior experts and the managers who are official members of Golestan Province Gas Company through the census method due to the limitation of decision making team. The data used in this study were obtained from two semi-structured questionnaires. First, to identify factors related to supply chain management improvement, the experts’ views were listed and categorized into two parts of criteria and sub-criteria using structural analysis. Second, experts rated the criteria and subcriteria using AHP pair-wise comparison standard questionnaires and their ratings were considered in the calculation of points. To analyze the data, Expert Choice and Spss19 soft wares were used. Results: This study shows that, in the main criteria, marketing factors, weighing 0.318, were placed in the first rank followed by the financial, strategic and organizational relationships criteria. In ranking the sub-criteria, sub-criteria of study and identification of the supplier with a final weight of 0.084, product diversification strategies with a final weight of 0.068, and approaches the final cost of the product by the final weight of 0.066, ranked as the first, second and third respectively, were considered as the priorities related to supply chain management improvement from the experts’ views

The respondent’s views were ascertained on five-point Likert Scale. Effect of competitive intelligence on competitive advantage in Innoson technical and industry limited, Enugu state, Nigeria
The instrument used for data collection was primarily questionnaire and interview. Out of 303 copies of the questionnaire that were distributed 283 copies were returned while 20 were not returned. The survey research design was adopted for the study. The hypotheses were tested using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient, chi-square, and simple linear regression statistical tools. The findings indicated that strategic intelligence significantly affects technological know-how in Nigeria manufacturing firm (r = 0.602; F = 3. 426E3; 1 = 4.426; p <0.05). Innovation significantly relationship affects brand reputation in the Nigeria manufacturing firms (X2 0 = 68.270 is greater than the Chi-square table value X2 1 = 9.49; p< 0.05). There is a significant relationship between human intelligence network and employee loyalty in the manufacturing firm (r = 705, P<05). The study concluded that competitive intelligence is a vital tool for strategic planning and competitive advantage. The study recommended that there should be an adequate investment in competitive intelligence process, facilities, and activities by manufacturing firm so as to be innovating in their product, services and competitive dispositions. In implementing competitive intelligence in an organization, employees should be equipped with the knowledge, skill and technical know-how of handling intelligence product
