Family care model development in treating schizophrenia patients that have self-deficit nursing based system: Structural equation modeling analysis

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study is to develop a family care model in treating schizophrenia patients who experience self-deficit based on the nursing system during the COVID-19 pandemic. Explanatory research design with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all families of schizophrenic patients in two mental health institutions in Bangkalan, Indonesia with a total sample of 72 families. The research instrument used was a re-control checklist sheet and a questionnaire about family factors and conditioning factors, nursing system, and self-deficit observations. Data analysis was performed using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) using PLS (partial least square) software. Family factors affect Nursing System with a value (T-statistic 2.079), the conditioning factor affects Nursing System with a value (T-statistic 24,827), and Nursing System affects the Self Deficit with a value (T-statistic 4,104). Family factors and Conditioning factors make a major contribution in influencing the nursing system so that the nursing system has a significant impact on the self-care process in schizophrenic patients who experience self-deficit

Correlation between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) in assessing consistency of brain tumor

    Get PDF
Management of brain tumors require various disciplines collaboration. The choice of surgery equipment are based on accurate preoperative data of the brain tumor consistency. Non-invasive method of measuring brain tumor consistency can use MRI. Therefore, authors aim to analyze the correlation between MRI and DMA in assessing brain tumor consistency. This research is observational analytic study to find out the relationship between ADC ratio, T2-WI intensity, and FA value of brain tumor with its consistency using DMA modulus value after surgery. As comparison, we use agarose with four different concentrations. This study also looks for relationship between ADC value, FA value, and T2-WI intensity of agarose with its modulus value on DMA device. We followed the patients since they have diagnosed with brain tumor until post-surgery. The Spearman correlation test shows correlation coefficient and p-value between ADC ratio, FA value, T2WI intensity and modulus in brain tumor which are r=0.026(p=0.915), r=0.549(p=0.015), and r= -0.181(p=0.459) respectively, also between ADC, FA value, T2WI intensity and modulus in agarose are r=0.600(p=0.400), r= -0.800(p=0.200), and r=0.632(p=0.368) respectively. So, there is correlation between FA values and modulus in brain tumor. However, the result of other variables did not show any correlation from this study

The role of clinical examination early diagnosis of glaucoma

    Get PDF
In the structure of the incidence of eye diseases leading to blindness, glaucoma occupies one of the leading places. According to the most recent World Health Organization estimates, about 314 million people worldwide have visual impairments, 45 million of whom are blind (90% of whom live in countries with low living standards). The actual extent of blindness and visual impairment is likely to exceed these indicators since detailed epidemiological information on some of its causes is still missing. That is why the issue of early diagnosis and timely treatment of this disease is relevant and despite numerous research studies, early diagnosis, the level of development, prevalence, and disability resulting from glaucoma remains significant. The problem is that in the early stages the disease is often asymptomatic and for this reason, ophthalmologists are more likely to experience glaucoma complications. Blindness as a phenomenon not only medical but also having deep social and economic significance, attracts attention not only at the medical but also at the state and even interstate level. To combat blindness from glaucoma, groups of specialists develop recommendations for diagnostic and therapeutic measures, conduct educational courses, and conferences to improve the skills of medical personnel

This research aims to find out the role of stakeholders in society in the effort of early-age marriage prevention in junior high school students in Gunung Kidul District. This research is qualitative research by using a case study approach which is conducted in Gunung Kidul District Yogyakarta including Ponjong and Playen Sub-District. The research subject consists of 15 headmasters, 15 adolescents that are still active at school as well as 15 guidance and counseling teachers. The kind of data in this research consists of primary data obtaining from the result of the interview and secondary data obtaining from documentary study results. The technique of collecting data is conducted through four stages such as interview, observation, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), and documentation. The technique of data analysis in this research used an interactive model i.e. implementation of data analysis consists of data reduction component, data presentation, making conclusion and verification interactively and related each other during and after data collection. The research result shows that the main cause of early-age marriage occurrence in Gunung Kidul District is the incident of pregnancy before marriage

Iron malnutrition anemia is a micronutrient problem that often occurs throughout the world. The prevalence of nutritional anemia in the teenager's age group nationally is 18.4%. The government has a program to prevent anemia in adolescents, which is to provide one grain of iron supplements every week throughout the year for female teenagers at school. The administration was carried out for 16 weeks with details of once a week and for 10 days of menstruation, so that the total gave was 52 tablets. Examine the characteristics of the sample (age, family socioeconomic, pocket money, menstrual history, nutritional status, and physical activity), knowledge about anemia, attitudes, compliance, family support, and teacher support in interventions with Fe supplementation and IEC about anemia against hemoglobin levels for female teenagers in State Senior High School in the District of Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, Indonesia. This research is a Quasi-Experimental with a sample of 126 female teenagers. The difference in the mean hemoglobin level of the intervention group before and after the intervention showed a significant difference in the average hemoglobin level between the three groups at pretest. The result of the multi regression analysis shows that the dominant variable is knowledge

This study used a descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted at RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar which was conducted from July to November 2019. The sample taken in this study must meet the inclusion criteria. This study uses secondary data in the form of patient medical records at Sanjiwani Gianyar Regional Hospital in 2018-2019. The research variables consisted of independent variables in the form of glomerular filtration rate and dependent variables in the form of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Data processing and analysis were carried out using computerized techniques with computer devices. Data analysis was carried out using univariate analysis used to analyze descriptively by calculating the frequency distribution of each research variable. The results of the research of 50 people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the majority of respondents of LFG grade were grade 3 with a total of 18 people (36.0%) and grade 1 as many as 15 people (30.0%), while the lowest was grade 4 with a total of 2 (4.0%) and grade 5 as many as 3 people (6.0%)
