Reading & Writing Ability and Achievement in Science - A Correlational Study
Science is not just a subject studied in schools but a way of living. Learning science leads to the development of a positive and logical approach to life. There are many obstacles to learning science. ‘Reading and Writing’ is one of them. The Reading and Writing Ability of students not only play an important role in learning Science (Heselden & Staples, 2002) but also help in achieving good scores in Science. This paper establishes a relationship between the Reading & Writing Ability of sixth-class UP board students with their Achievement in Science. In this study, ‘Self-constructed Reading & Writing tests’ were used along with the ‘Self-constructed Achievement tests’. The sixth-class students of the U.P. board of Ghaziabad schools were considered as the population of the study. The Random Cluster Sampling technique was used in order to draw 65 sixth-classes UP board students from two schools in Ghaziabad. ‘Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient’ was used to find out the relationship between the Reading & Writing Ability of sixth-class UP board students with their Achievement in Science. The analysis of results shows that the Reading Ability of sixth-class UP board students and Achievement in Science are strongly correlated with each other. In addition to this, the Writing Ability of sixth-class UP board students has a positive moderate correlation with their Achievement in Science
Contribution of Azad Hind Fauj in India\u27s Freedom Struggle
After taking over the command of the Azad Hind Fauj, in October 1943, the Prime Minister of the provisional government, Subhash Chandra Bose, declared war against the Allies including Britain and the United States. For the independence of India, Subhash Chandra Bose opened schools for the training of the Azad Hind Fauj. INA is found in almost all the countries of East Asia. Branches were established. Subhash Chandra Bose, while addressing the soldiers of the Azad Hind Fauj, gave the slogan of \u27Delhi Chalo\u27, because he believed that if the Azad Hind Fauj fought the British government on Indian soil, then the Indian soldiers present in the British Army would also support them. The first battalion of the Azad Hind Fauj reached Burma in January 1944 AD. This battalion was sent from Burma to take over Imphal and Kohima in India. By February 1944, the Azad Hind Fauj had fought the British forces in a mountainous area like Haka Kalam through Burma. By September 1944, the Azad Hind Fauj had captured many areas of Indian land while fighting the British army. This army had captured 250 miles of India\u27s territory. But after the victory of the Allies in the Second World War and the defeat of Japan, the Azad Hind Fauj was surrounded from all sides, yet they continued to fight the British army. Finally, due to a lack of logistics and due to Netaji\u27s order, the Azad Hind Fauj had to surrender. In the end, it can be said that Subhash Chandra Bose and Azad Hind Fauj tried for the independence of the country which could not succeed. But this led to the development of a sense of nationalism among the Indian people and the people made efforts to get rid of the British rule. So on August 15, 1947, India became independent

Indian Legal System in Preventing Prostitution: An Analytical Study: Vaishyavrati Ko Rokne Me Bhartiya Kanoon Vyavstha: Ek Vishleshnatmak Addhyan
Prostitution is not a problem in India only; rather it is the problem in the whole world. All the countries of the world are trying to deal with this problem, but the rate of the problem seems to be increasing instead of decreasing. The question is that different types of diseases caused by prostitution are seen in every country. Whichever country is suffering from this problem, they take necessary steps to prevent them, such as medical facilities, systematic regular care, etc. If the above problem is observed in India, then its roots are prevalent since ancient times, but many efforts were made from time to time to stop it but were unsuccessful because the common people and the rulers did not take effective steps to stop them. The main reason for this has been considered by the people as a means of entertainment and indulgence. Whenever steps are taken by the government administration to stop prostitution, then it secretly or indirectly stops for a short time and then starts again after some time. After the country\u27s independence, effective laws were made to deal with this problem. And the judiciary has also made a commendable effort to stop it through important decisions. Through this research work, the researcher has to find out the causes of prostitution in society and study its impact on society
Consumer Protection in the Electricity Sector
With the constant evolution of the country’s electricity regulations, consumer protection in the Indian electricity sector has grown dexterously. Every Electricity Act that has been passed throughout the years has increased the extent of consumer protection. During the last two decades, the Country has witnessed notable improvements, particularly in the infrastructure, power generation, and most importantly consumer welfare. The Electricity Act of 2003, in its numerous clauses and other government legislation and policy documents, clearly state that efficiency consumer protection, and welfare are the primary goals for achieving real reforms in the electricity sector. The government, through this Act, has provided several ways to promote consumer awareness. The Act has also established a comprehensive two-tier grievance redressal mechanism consisting of CGRF at the primary level and Ombudsman at the State level to protect consumers from the tiring traditional resolution process. To ensure that the consumers benefit from the regulations, the Act also provides for minimum standards in the form of Standards of Performance which are required to be met by the licensees.
A Study of Pharmaceutical Product Registration Process in Cambodia– A First Step Towards Developing a Product-Mix
The Pharmaceutical market in Cambodia attracts high competition due to the fewer entry barriers in the market. The Cambodian medicine requirements are highly dependent on the import of medicines from countries like India, China, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, and some European countries. India is one of the leading suppliers and contributors to medicine imports in Cambodia due to its cost-effective generic products. In such a competitive market pharmaceutical companies need to constantly introduce new products and dosage forms to be ahead of the competition and capture market share. Any pharmaceutical product imported into Cambodia must be registered at MOH –Cambodia before entering the country. Hence pharmaceutical companies need to focus on the product registration process first, to introduce new products in the market. This descriptive qualitative research concentrates on the first step of creating product-mix offerings –i.e., the new product registration process. The data was collected from one-to-one personal written interviews with the field experts. The current pharmaceutical product registration guideline in Cambodia takes approximately 7 months to register a new POM product. However, companies can opt for fast-track approval by paying an additional official fee determined by the regulators

The Themes of Alienation and Homelessness in the Poetry of Nissim Ezekiel: A Critical Study
Nissim Ezekiel, a renowned Indian English poet, is celebrated for his exploration of complex themes such as identity, existentialism, and human relationships. This study examines the themes of alienation and Homelessness, which refer to the estrangement of individuals from society, the self, or the environment, in Ezekiel’s poetry. Analyzing key poems such as “Night of the Scorpion,” “Enterprise,” “The Patriot,” “Background, Casually,” and “Poet, Lover, Birdwatcher,” this paper identifies four aspects of alienation present in his work: alienation from society, the self, the environment, and interpersonal relationships. In Ezekiel’s poetry, characters often experience a disconnect from their society due to factors such as cultural differences, social expectations, and spiritual disillusionment. His work also delves into the internal struggle of individuals trying to understand their own identities, resulting in a sense of alienation from the self. The theme of alienation from the environment is explored through the portrayal of hostile natural elements and the protagonists’ inability to find solace in their surroundings. Lastly, Ezekiel’s poetry examines the breakdown of interpersonal relationships, highlighting how feelings of estrangement can manifest within close connections. This study demonstrates that Ezekiel’s portrayal of alienation is a powerful reflection of the complex, multi-layered nature of human existence. His work serves as a reminder that the quest for belonging and connection is an ongoing struggle that transcends culture and geography. By examining the elements of alienation in his poetry, we gain a deeper understanding of Nissim Ezekiel’s perspective on human existence and the challenges that individuals face, ultimately fostering empathy and understanding among people from diverse backgrounds
