    Defining architectures for recommended systems for medical treatment. A Systematic Literature Review

    This paper presents a Systematic Literature Review(SLR) related to recommender system for medical treatment, aswell as analyze main elements that may provide flexible, accurate,and comprehensive recommendations. To do so, a SLR researchmethodology obey. As a result, 12 intelligent recommendersystems related to prescribing medication were classed dependingto specific criteria. We assessed and analyze these medicinerecommender systems and enumerate the challenges. After studyingselected papers, our study concentrated on two researchquestions concerning the availability of medicine recommendersystems for physicians and the features these systems should have.Further research is encouraged in order to build an intelligentrecommender system based on the features analyzed in this work

    Agile Design Process with User-Centered Design and User Experience in Web Interfaces: A Systematic Literature Review

    In the search for faster software development techniquesthat consider user’s needs, agile methods are gettingspace in the corporate scenario, as well as in scientific research.However, integrating agile software development with usercentereddesign (UCD) and user experience (UX) is a challengingtask. In this way, we systematically reviewed the literature until2017 to identify and understand how UX can be considered inagile development, particularly for graphical interfaces of webapplications. The search was performed in the ACM, IEEE,Science Direct, and Springer databases. We found a total of 815studies, of which 13 met the eligibility criteria. This research isimportant for evidencing the information acquired and used tomap how agile methods can consider the stakeholders, activities,and techniques that directly imply the way the products aredeveloped to meet the user’s expectations. There are many agilemethods, each with its advantages and disadvantages, but weconclude that the methods that integrate better with UX or UCDare Scrum and XP

    Different authors seek to improve the interactionbetween intelligent agents in multi-agent systems, an example isthe affective model of MASOES, which through the generationof emotions promotes different types of behaviors. Although thisaffective model has been formally verified at the design level,it has not been verified at the implementation level. This workpresents methodologically the implementation for the affectivemodel of MASOES on a multiagent system, verifying the requiredat the design level by this multiagent architecture, in order toprovide an environment for the interaction between the emotionalprocesses and the different functions of an agent. In addition, wepropose the calculation of Social Emotion, allowing to describethe collective emotional state of a group of emotional agents. &nbsp

    Vibratory Neurostimulator for Patients with Essential Tremor

    Dissolved gas content forecasting in power transformers based on Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM)

    Taking into account the chaotic characteristic of gas production within power transformers, a Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) model is implemented to forecast dissolved gas content based on historical chromatography samples. Additionally, an extending approach is developed with a correlation between oil temperature and Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA), where a multi-input LSSVM is trained with the utilization of DGA and temperature datasets. The obtained DGA prediction from the extending model illustrates more accurate results, and the previous algorithm uncertainties are reduced.A favourable correlation between hydrogen, methane, ethane, ethylene, and acetylene and oil temperature is achieved by the application of the proposed multi-input model. &nbsp

    Optimización de Coeficientes de Absorción para Simulación Numérica Acústica

    The following work presents a methodology to optimize the absorption coefficients, conventionally considered as the main input parameters of room acoustical simulators. In the first place a presentation of the main characteristics of the acoustic simulator is made. Next, the procedure that is based on a modified “hill-climbing” approach is detailed. It performs the optimization of the coefficients value in an iterative procedure, which includes the calculation of the acoustic quality parameters (AQPs) with the results of an acoustic simulation of a real room. The AQPs from each simulation are compared with experimental measurements performed in the room, used as a reference for iterative adjustments. Finally, the results of the last iteration show a substantial reduction of the error, showing differences of 5.83% with the AQPs measured in the real room. &nbsp

    Design and Implementation of a Robot Hand Experimental Platform

    In this article, we describe the design and implementation of an experimental robotic hand platform in order to create a real environment to tests signals that have been treated with different applied techniques or devices used in the extraction of bioelectrical signals. Mechanically the platform has a hand of 5 degrees of freedom, one for each finger. The movement of each finger is generated by a servomotor, which receives the signal from an electronic distribution board. The reception of signals from the outside is both wired and wireless. To check the individual movement of the fingers, a joystick, a keyboard and Bluetooth device have been provided. The movement of the joints on each finger is achieved by tightening a nylon thread from the pulley located on the servomotor shaft. PWM signals were used to check the movement of the fingers. &nbsp

    In this paper the problem of obtaining the Optimal Workforce Planning for enterprises is addressed as a mathematical optimization problem. Given the complexity and specific features of the corresponding optimization model, the Ant Colony Optimization metaheuristic was applied as the solution method. From computational experiments, we have shown the effectiveness of our proposal versus other state-of-art algorithms. &nbsp

    A novel approach based on multiobjective variable mesh optimization to Phylogenetics

    One of the most relevant problems in Bioinformaticsand Computational Biology is the search and reconstruction ofthe most accurate phylogenetic tree that explains, as exactly aspossible, the evolutionary relationships among species from agiven dataset. Different criteria have been employed to evaluatethe accuracy of evolutionary hypothesis in order to guide a searchalgorithm towards the best tree. However, these criteria may leadto distinct phylogenies, which are often conflicting among them.Therefore, a multi-objective approach can be useful. In this work,we present a phylogenetic adaptation of a multiobjective variablemesh optimization algorithm for inferring phylogenies, to tacklethe phylogenetic inference problem according to two optimalitycriteria: maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood. Theaim of this approach is to propose a complementary view ofphylogenetics in order to generate a set of trade-off phylogenetictopologies that represent a consensus between both criteria.Experiments on four real nucleotide datasets show that ourproposal can achieve promising results, under both multiobjectiveand biological approaches, with regard to other classical andrecent multiobjective metaheuristics from the state-of-the-art. &nbsp
