What are the Problems for Students in Writing the First Research Paper in a Second Language?
In this paper, I have mentioned the problems faced by students in writing the first research paper and solution of these problems. There are a lot of students who have the ability to write the research paper, but due to the lack of guidance and not familiar with the format and the process of writing a research paper, they are unable to write this type of academic work. So I have mentioned in this study the different types of problems and their solution. In this paper, I deal with lots of problems but major problems are eight. The first thing I deal in this study is the problem in selecting the research topic, what type of topic can be selected at the student level? And how can choose a topic? Secondly, how to write the introduction? And problems in writing the introduction. Thirdly, problems in writing the literature review and rules of writing the literature review, fourthly the format of a research paper. Second language problem which is a major problem in writing a research paper; students are much worried to face this problem. The fifty percent students of second language having problems in writing the research papers. I have mentioned the problem of plagiarism, paraphrase and the starting point of a research paper. I have collected the data from universities. I have organized two tests in order to collect the data. This study will be very helpful for the beginner researchers
Washback Effect of EFL Teacher-Made Test on Teaching-Learning Process of Communicative English Skills Course at Ambo University
Prompted by the problem the effects of washback, this study was mainly intended to evaluate the washback effect of EFL teacher-made tests/examination on teaching-learning process of Communicative English Skills at Ambo University. Specifically, it examined the influence of the examination on the domains of teaching and learning. It further explored mediating factors of wash back on teachers and students’ practices. To this end, the data were collected from three years (2008, 2009, 2010 E.C.) communicative English skills course teachers’ made examinations through document analysis method. Supplemental data were also collected from EFL teachers and English major students respectively using interview and questionnaire. Both teachers and the students were selected on the bases of randomly sapling techniques. The study employed mixed methods to analyze and interpret the results of the study. The findingsof the study reveal that teacher-made examinationaffected the domains of teaching-learning process negatively. This means it affects students’ learning attitudes, motivations, and readiness in leaning some components of the materials, and experience in taking examination, practice in using the learning materials and methods in general. Some components of the course, such as writing and listening, were not included in the final examination of the course. As a result, students were influenced to give more time for the work of previous examination questions rather than studying the materials. Based on the findings of the study, teachers are recommended to set examination questions from the contents of the materials they used to teach the components of the course and give equal emphasis for all the components of the language during teaching-learning process and assessment. As the committee members usually set the examinations, the teaching material choice should be amended to align the contents of the examination questions with the contents in the teaching materials

Langston Hughes was an American artist, writer, and dramatist whose African-American subjects made him an essential supporter of the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. Langston Hughes was conceived on February 1, 1902, in Joplin, Missouri. He distributed his first lyric in 1921. He went to Columbia University, yet left following one year to travel. Contemporary Techniques of English Language Learning in the Age of Global Communication Technologies
This research explores the importance of motivation and how it plays an important role in language learning. This motivation can vary from person to person, according to the factors which he or she is surrounded by. Some factors can affect motivation intrinsically or some factors can affect in motivation extrinsically in language learning. The aim of this study is to find out the factors behind Pakistani students\u27 motivation to learn English. The researcher has used qualitative multiple case study approach, to study fifteen students in order to get the information by conducting interviews. The fifteen students were from three different age groups, and there are 10 to 12 years, 14 to 16 years and 20 to 25 years old. The findings show how the factors affect students\u27 motivation in language learning. Some of the factors are mandatory subject, students\u27 participation, teachers\u27 feedback, and limited study materials. These factors can be helpful to find out the effective way to motivate the students to learn target language, the teachers\u27 technique and also benefit the involvement of parents in the student\u27s life

Analysis of the Governance Models Applied in Agricultural Primary Cooperatives: The Case of Ilu Galan District, West Shawa Zone, Oromia, Ethiopia
Prompted by increased concern about cooperative governance, the study was conducted to analyze the governance architecture, the governance models applied and the factors determining the choice of the application of the models using data obtained from 114(99 male and 15 female) respondents from four of Primary Agricultural cooperatives in Ilu Galan District. The study focuses on the governance architecture, six governance models (Democratic, Compliance, Partnership, Cooptation, Stakeholder and Rubber Stamp) and determining factors thematically organized in to seven themes: Teaming, leadership, Conflict of interest, Unnecessary intervention, legal, governance and education/training. The data analysis was made using descriptive statistics: percentage of frequency, weighted mean, standard deviation and ranking methods. The results identified that primary Agricultural cooperatives in the District have the poorly adapted governance architecture which cannot clearly show the governance framework or the four pillars (accountability, transparency, predictability and participation) and strategic leadership activities (the vision, mission, objectives and activities to be achieved in their plan and bylaw). The cooperatives hardly apply the principles of cooperatives in general and that of governance models in particular. Democratic, Co-optation, Rubber Stamp Models were the top three models that Primary Agricultural Cooperatives were implementing in the District. The data analyzed show that almost all the members of the cooperatives were confused with word “model†as a result of which governance related factors, lack of awareness/education/training, Teaming and strategic leadership factors were the first four important factors in influencing the choice of the application of Cooperative Governance Model to Primary Agricultural Cooperatives in the District. Therefore, the prescriptions for the cure also lie in bringing about improvement in these factors
From Colonial Reality to Poetic Truth: Baudelaire’s Indian Ocean Poems

The 1863 prose poem “La belle Dorothée” in which Baudelaire refers back again to his experience in the Mascarene Islands, exposes the crude nature of the French policy that pretended to give the slaves freedom while forced them to live in idleness, poverty or prostitution. If Baudelaire’s oft discussed exoticism manifests a rejection of the society of his time, his longing for Africa and the Indian Ocean should not be dismissed as escapism
A Study of Old English Period (450 AD to 1066 AD)
In this study, the researcher has talked about Old English or Anglo-Saxons history and literature. Preparing the Child for Productive Life
The nature of children\u27s development is greatly influenced by the environmental conditions in which they are brought up. The amount of social stimulation which they receive is of particular importance, and even if physical conditions are adequate, an unstimulating environment which provides with little opportunity or need to experiment or solve problems will result in low level of achievement. Perhaps the most important aspect of the child\u27s social development is beyond the reach of the teacher. For the first very important aspect of the child\u27s development lies in the home. Genetic endowment and cultural level of the family, coupled with the actual physical conditions of the home will have decisive effect on the child\u27s development and will continue to influence him throughout his school life. These factors are inaccessible to be influenced by the teacher but it is as well for him to have them in mind in his dealings with pupils. In addition, he will need to know how he may most effectively change his pupils along the lives he considers to be the most appropriate. That is, he will seek out the most efficient ways of getting pupils learn for productive life in future. The topic under review will be approached from various fronts which include; The Sociological and Philosophical models; role of the school; Learners\u27 responsibility; role of the teacher; discipline and learner control; role of the parent; guidance and counseling services and conclusion.
