China’s Foreign Policy Shift in South Asia vis-à-vis Belt and Road Initiative
China’s foreign policy shift in South Asia has been largely driven by its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which seeks to enhance connectivity and economic cooperation across Asia and beyond. South Asia, with its strategic location and growing economic potential, has emerged as a key area of focus for China under the B RI. In this context, China has pursued a multi-pronged approach, which includes infrastructure development, economic cooperation, and strategic partnerships with key countries in the region. One of the key components of China’s foreign policy shift in South Asia has been its emphasis on infrastructure development. China has invested heavily in the construction of roads, railways, ports, and other infrastructure projects in the region, with the aim of improving connectivity and facilitating trade and commerce. These investments have been largely made through the BRI framework, which has provided China with a platform to promote its economic and strategic interests in the region. China has also sought to deepen economic cooperation with South Asian countries through the BRI. This has involved the signing of a number of bilateral and regional trade agreements, as well as the establishment of special economic zones and industrial parks. Through these initiatives, China has sought to increase its access to South Asian markets and promote the growth of its own economy. In addition to these economic initiatives, China has also sought to establish strategic partnerships with key countries in the region. This has involved strengthening its ties with countries such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, which have strategic significance due to their location and their potential to provide China with access to key markets and resources. These partnerships have also involved cooperation in areas such as defense and security, with China seeking to establish a greater presence in the Indian Ocean region
The Effect of Pearl Oyster (Pinctada maxima L.) Biofouling Waste Organic Fertilizer and Watering Interval on The Growth and Results of Mustard Greens (Brassica juncea L.)
This research was conducted in Pelita Jaya Village, Pohon Batu Hamlet, West Seram Regency from June to July 2022. The research was conducted to study the effect of the interaction of doses of organic fertilizer from pearl oyster biofouling waste and intervals of water administration on the growth and yield of mustard plants. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized group trial design (RAK) with two treatments as follows: Factor I: Pearl Oyster Biofouling Waste Fertilizer (L) with 4 levels, namely L0 = Control, L1 = Dosage of 50 gr/tan, L = 100 g/tan and L3 = 150 gr/tan Factor II : Watering Time Interval (W) namely W1 = 1 day, W2 = 2 days and W3 = 3 days. Each treatment was combined to obtain 12 treatments with 3 replications, resulting in 36 experimental plots. In each plot, 4 sample plants were taken so that in total there were 144 sample plants. The results of this study indicate that the interaction of organic fertilizer from pearl oyster biofouling waste with intervals of watering has a very significant effect on the growth and yield of mustard plants (number of leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight). The best treatment interaction was the combined dose of pearl oyster biofouling waste fertilizer 150 g/tan with an interval of watering once every three days for mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.

Moreover, there was a significant difference in the responses of learners in the pre-test and posttest. It means that the quality and content of SBL approach has positive impact on the learning process in critical thinking skills. This approach become more effective in critical thinking skills as learners had been able to remember, reason and pay attention to SBL approach video lesson. In addition, usage of technology improved learning. The opportunities for teaching with audio visual lessons are ideally adapted to the learners’ environment. Thus, learning scenario encourages students to think about what they have learned
A Personal Narrative Experience of Teachers Teaching Purposive Commu-nication During the New Normal Education
This study explored the teachers’ teaching experiences in purposive communication during the new normal education setup at Sultan Kudarat State University-Kalamansig Campus. Qualitative research design using the narrative research methods was the research design of this study. It used non-probability purposive sampling as the sampling technique. There were five (5) teachers handling purposive communication. Moreover, this study employed a semi-structured interview guide with open-ended questions. The data were analyzed using Colizzi’s thematic analysis.
The teachers\u27 experiences teaching purposive communication seem fruitful and efficient for students learning. Classes were conducted using the blended learning approach. Due to internet connectivity issues, Asynchronous was the typical learning mode than synchronous session. Further, the learning assessment was found to be unauthentic because it was conducted using asynchronous mode. Internet connectivity and power interruptions were the greatest challenges ever experienced by the teachers. Their coping mechanism included psychological health and well-being and proactive and approach-oriented application. The use of a personal budget is also included.
It is concluded that teachers have issues in lesson planning, classroom management, internet connectivity, and managing students\u27 virtual behavior in the new normal environment. Teachers have utilized a variety of strategies to overcome difficulties.
It is recommended that the institution should provide planning programs as a foundation for new normal teaching and perform a series of studies on instructors\u27 experiences in the new normal educational scheme. The faculty should evaluate the practicability of their teaching methods to satisfy the needs of students with diverse cultures during the new normal
Home- School Link: Tutor’s Capacity-Building Enhancement Training for effective implementation of Modular distance learning
This study discovers the effectiveness of modular distance learning as an alternative learning modality and proposes a home-school link: a tutor’s capacity-building enhancement training. The study examines the perceived level of competence and tutoring experiences of the parents while administering the self-learning modules (SLM) at home. The study determines the relevance of parents’ tutoring competence and experiences to the learner’s academic achievement, which were identified using a mixed-methods approach through conducting both surveys and interviews. The study used a purposive sampling technique to select the participants. This study reveals that parents are only proficient in administering the module, which demonstrates their need to undergo capacity-enhancement training. Facilitating the SLM emphasizes the significance of the delivery of instruction, employing the student-centered method, appropriate teaching strategies, student motivation, behavior management strategies, and time management. In this connection, the training specifically provides opportunities for the home tutors to acquire the knowledge and skills that they need to deliver a high-quality education to the learners. Moreover, this study reveals the different interventions and challenges encountered while administering modular distance learning. Conducting the teaching-learning process at home can be difficult for home tutors who do not possess the necessary competence to facilitate the SLM, which imposes a risk of producing high-quality outcomes in learners\u27 academic achievement. Hence, it is crucial to implement the home-school link: a tutor’s capacity-building enhancement training to nurture the necessary competences of the home tutors as partners in education. Implementing the enhancement training ensures the quality education our learners wholly deserve

Aligning the Ship Engine Cadets’ Skills to the 21st Century
The Philippines is one of the single largest nationality groups in the maritime and shipping sectors; as a result, the nation\u27s efforts to modernize the skills of the engine cadets are significant. This study aimed to assess the engine cadets\u27 skill level in relation to the requisite 21st-century skills while they were receiving shipboard training at TORM Shipping Philippines Inc. It used a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design. The paper used mean, standard deviation, and Mann-Whitney for comparing differences between two independent groups for the statistical treatment analyses of the quantitative data. Thematic analysis of the descriptive data provided by the interviewees involved coding and identifying common themes, patterns, and responses. The findings revealed that the engine cadets were competent in three (3) areas but needed to be more competent in the remaining area (inventive thinking). This signified that the engine cadets need supplemental training in the areas where they are less apt to improve their skills in all variables, especially 21st-century skills. The management of maritime schools and policymakers must address the common factors that prevent engine cadets from acquiring 21st-century skills, according to the study
