Enhancing Operational Performance and Decision-Making through a Digital Data Tracking System
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness and im-pact of a digital office data tracking system in the performance and deci-sion-making of the selected employees. While manual tracking systems remain functional, their drawbacks, including inefficiency and potential for errors, make them less desirable compared to the modern and con-venient digital office tracking system. These reasons prompted the re-searcher to delve into the advantages and benefits this digital tracking system will provide the Department of Agrarian Reform. A survey research design was utilized to carry out this study. Find-ings indicate the majority of the fourteen (14) respondents were either satisfied or extremely satisfied with the current office data tracking sys-tem in place

Oral Communication Skills of the Students of Osias Colleges, Inc.
The study employed a descriptive design to gather baseline data on respondents\u27 oral communication skills in English. The results revealed that the majority of respondents were female, aged 19-24, who primarily spoke Tagalog and Ilokano at home, and were mainly in their second and third years of study. Utilizing a 5-point Likert scale for assessment, the findings indicated that respondents were rated as "good" across various dimensions of oral communication, including audience engagement, context, transactional and interper-sonal skills, medium of exchange, and paralinguistics. This overall rating suggests that while their skills are adequate, there is consid-erable potential for improvement to enhance their competitiveness in the job market. As a result, the study underscored the need for a program aimed at strengthening students\u27 oral communication skills in English, with an intervention proposed for review and implementation in the upcoming academic year. Recommendations for program heads and school administrators included incorporating these findings into curriculum evaluations and policy development. Regular curriculum mapping is essential to ensure that course objectives align with the enhancement of students\u27 English oral communication skills. Addi-tionally, it is recommended that training programs focused on im-proving these skills be made available, and that language teachers engage in professional development seminars to refine their in-structional techniques. Furthermore, increasing the number of in-teractive classroom activities is advised to further cultivate stu-dents\u27 oral communication abilities in English
Comparative Syntactic Analysis of Basic Sentence Structures in Tausug and English: Implications for Language Teaching and Learning
This study investigates the basic sentence patterns of Tausug (Bahasa Sug) and English, exploring their structural similarities and differences through a descriptive research design. The research involved 80 native Tausug speakers with advanced English proficiency from Jolo, Sulu, Philippines, and used Paul Roberts\u27s (1956) seven basic sentence patterns as an analytical framework. The study addressed three primary research questions: (1) the contemporary significance of Tausug language studies, (2) the integration of Tausug jargon and idiomatic expressions in language standardization efforts, and (3) the syntactic variations between English and Tausug grammatical structures.
Data were collected using an 82-item survey instrument examining Tausug jargon, idiomatic expressions, basic sentence patterns, and sociolinguistic factors such as Tausug\u27s role as a regional lingua franca, its influence on neighboring ethnolinguistic groups, and its significance in governance and education. Statistical analysis employed descriptive methods and weighted means. The results revealed a significant language shift among younger Tausug speakers, leading to a decline in formal Tausug proficiency, despite its status as the lingua franca of the Sulu Archipelago. Although there are structural parallels between Tausug and English basic sentence patterns, notable syntactic variations were identified, particularly in word order and sentence structure.
These findings suggest that while Tausug retains some structural similarities to English, the syntactic differences could impact second language acquisition, particularly for those learning English as a second language. Moreover, the decline in Tausug proficiency underscores the need for efforts to preserve and standardize the language, integrating its unique jargon and idiomatic expressions into educational and governance contexts to promote its continued use and development.
