Social, Economic, and Technological Barriers of the Music Industry in Cebu Province Through the Lens of Management Functions
Get PDFThis research aimed to investigate the multifaceted challenges faced by music core groups in Cebu Province, analyzing social, economic, and technological barriers. Its primary goal was to propose an innovative management framework for ensuring sustainable growth in the music industry. Utilizing qualitative multiple-case study, this study delved into the complex landscape shaped by challenges for music creators, artists, and organizations. It involved a comprehensive management framework encompassing planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. The study identified themes including navigating professional dynamics, social equity and empowerment dynamics, obstacles in creative pursuits, financial sustainability, economic instability, challenges in technology utilization, and industry adaptation. Various coping mechanisms such as faith, self-care, and community involvement were observed. While the study provided valuable insights, the limited representation of diverse industry positions highlights the need for further research to fully grasp the complexities and challenges of the music industry. The Amplify Cebu Music Management Framework, incorporating TechHarmony Integration, aimed to seamlessly integrate technology into the industry. Tailored interventions addressed leadership development, promotion strategies, artist well-being, creative hubs, education, and government support. The study\u27s insights transcend the local context, offering globally applicable frameworks for fostering inclusive and effective industry development, thereby enhancing social equity and empowerment dynamics. This research presents a comprehensive roadmap for overcoming barriers and enhancing resilience, contributing to a vibrant and sustainable music industry in Cebu while aligning local scenes with global audiences
Spiritual and Psychological Well-Being among Uniformed Personnel in Philippine National Police
Get PDFThis study aimed to determine the spiritual and psychological well-being among uniformed personnel in Philippine National Police. The descriptive correlational research design was used employing the survey questionnaire distributed randomly to 100 uniform personnel of the PNP province of Cavite. The descriptive statistical tools were used including the percentage, mean, ranking and Pearson-r.
The research highlights the significant impact of spiritual and psychological well-being of uniformed police personnel. Regular practices like prayer, meditation, and yoga help maintain balance, concentration, and resilience against adversity. This positive mental health contributes to job satisfaction, morale, and stress reduction. A sense of belonging and camaraderie within the police force also contributes to overall wellbeing. A strong spiritual affiliation can serve as a coping mechanism, enhancing mental well-being and fortitude in challenging professional situations. A positive outlook on life can impact colleagues, work, and obstacles faced in the police force. A strong spiritual foundation provides a sense of identity, purpose, and value, enhancing the effectiveness, satisfaction, and resilience of public sector personnel. Recognizing and addressing this component can improve the effectiveness, satisfaction, and resilience of the police force
Pricing Strategies and Customer Satisfaction in Coffee Shops: A Case Study in Camarines Norte, Philippines
Get PDFThis study examines the impact of pricing strategies on customer sat-isfaction, aiming to improve customer experiences and foster long term loyalty within the coffee shops business in Camarines Norte, Philippines for the year 2022. Utilizing a descriptive correlational research design, data was collected through face-to-face interviews with 150 respondents selected via purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the majority of respondents were females aged 15-30, vis-ited coffee shops weekly. Sixty-two (62) percent of the respondents describe that coffee shops establishments used competitive-based pricing. Among various pricing strategies, value-based pricing was perceived as the most effective, with an average rating of 4.60. Re-spondents strongly agreed that service quality aligned with pricing strategies significantly influences customer satisfaction, scoring an average of 4.26. A test of significant relationship using Biserial corre-lation coefficient between competitive pricing, value-based pricing, and product bundle pricing regarding the impact on customer satis-faction cues indicate a statistically significant relationship at p<0.05, denoting a positive relationship between the pricing strategies and customer satisfaction. The study concludes that pricing strategies is a crucial element of the marketing mix that directly affects customer satisfaction and business profitability. Although, no universal pricing strategy may exist, understanding customer satisfaction is essential for identifying effective pricing policies. Therefore, it is recommended that coffee shops need to develop comprehensive business models to enhance pricing strategies aimed at increasing market share and sus-taining growth in the coffee shop sector
Project Management Knowledge Analysis – A Case of Symptom Checker Development Project

Several organizations have implemented new technologies to serve customers’ needs better and be more competitive in the market. Healthcare services are also one of the industries that need to stay up to date with recent technologies. Therefore, they can apply these technologies to their information systems projects. This paper aims to discuss a case of symptom checker development project carried out in a hospital in Thailand. Project management knowledge areas applied in the project are also identified from the activities performed in the project. Moreover, the main problems that occurred during the project were addressed along with the recommendations for solving the problems. The findings suggest that organizations apply only some project management knowledge areas from the framework. Those are project scope management, project procurement management, project integration management, project schedule management, project quality management, and project communication management
Accounting Information System and Environmental Uncertainty among Agri-Related Cooperatives in Davao del Norte
Get PDFThe primary purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the variables covered in this study - the Accounting Information System and environmental uncertainty among agri-related cooperatives- and provide personal knowledge and a framework for the contingency theory. The research advocates that most entities need to modernize their business operations due to the emergence of technological advances to support organizational change and decision-making. The study\u27s findings aim to benefit agri-related cooperatives, such as the Board of Directors, the Management, the Entrepreneurs, and future researchers seeking insights. The study focused on agri-related cooperatives in Davao del Norte, targeting accountants or bookkeepers. The selection of respondents was made in a complete enumeration involving seventy-four (74) respondents for the survey as per the data provided by the Cooperative Development Authority. The methodology aims for more reliable insights into the Accounting Information System and environmental uncertainty representing the agri-related cooperative sector. The findings indicate that adequately using a reliable Accounting Information System helps businesses deal with uncertainties. However, the greater the likelihood of environmental uncertainty, the greater the possibility that the Accounting Information System is unlikely to capture operational issues useful for decision-making. Thus, this study concludes that the Agri-related cooperatives in Davao del Norte are highly uncertain, and the usage of the Accounting Information system did not significantly affect the decision-making process
Perceived Attributes Towards Development of Muslim Heritage Tourism in the Municipality of Sofronio Española: Basis for Action Plan
Get PDFThis research explores the potential of Muslim heritage tourism in Sofronio Española, Palawan, as a driver of economic growth and cultural exchange. The study investigates residents\u27 perceived attributes towards this tourism development, focusing on socio-cultural, economic, and environmental aspects. A descriptive correlational design was employed, surveying 381 residents across nine barangays using stratified random sampling. The findings indicate a high level of agreement among residents on the positive socio-cultural impact of preserving Muslim heritage sites, the economic benefits of tourism-related income and job creation, and the necessity of sustainable environmental practices. The demographic profile revealed a predominance of females (61.2%), a youthful population with 60% aged 18-27, and a high level of educational attainment, with 48.6% having attended college. Despite these insights, statistical analysis showed no significant correlation between demographic factors (age, length of residency, educational attainment) and perceived attributes, suggesting widespread support for tourism development across different demographic segments. The study concludes that while demographic factors do not significantly influence perceptions, the overall positive outlook on Muslim heritage tourism highlights its potential for fostering sustainable development. Recommendations include enhancing community engagement, supporting local entrepreneurship, implementing sustainable tourism practices, and developing a comprehensive tourism action plan. These strategies aim to capitalize on the rich cultural and natural assets of Sofronio Española, promoting it as a premier destination for Muslim heritage tourism. This research provides a foundational understanding that can guide policymakers and stakeholders in creating effective tourism development initiatives that benefit both residents and visitors
The Extent of Implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in The Third District of Negros Oriental
Get PDFhis study aimed to assess the extent of implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) and the extent of stakeholder participation in times of disaster towards the development of a comprehensive community-based Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) strategic manual. This study employed a descriptive comparative research design utilizing survey methodology. The study was conducted in the Third District of the Province of Negros Oriental. The respondents were LGU officials, PNP, DRRM Coordinators, SK officials, barangay officials, and local residents and were selected using a stratified random sampling technique. The major tool used in this study is a survey questionnaire adopted from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan manual. Data were analysed using weighted mean and one-way analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The study found that people are more proactive in preventing disasters than recovering from them. The poor performance of respondents in Disaster Rehabilitation and Recovery (DRRM) was attributed to a lack of expertise and resources. The DRRM program\u27s effectiveness still needs to be explored; hence, there is an urgent need for further study and evaluation to measure its impact. Communities often lack the means and capacity to respond effectively, emphasizing the need for empowering and involving local populations in disaster management. Insufficient resources, capacity, and collaboration between stakeholders hinder the implementation of disaster management programs, resulting in inadequate results and a loss of confidence in the government\u27s ability to address disaster management needs. An internal disaster response plan should be in place in every barangay and activated during and immediately after disasters. When chaos and devastation from a disaster demand capability beyond those that barangays can afford, Local Government Units (LGUs) and the National Government are supposed to respond. Designated Barangay Disaster Response Teams and volunteers may also help
Awareness and Satisfaction of Employees on the Corporate Social Respon-sibility Services in Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines

Employees receive free shuttle buses, food allowances, medical and dental missions, schools, and housing loans. However, the infrequent utilization of these services could potentially impact job performance. Employee satisfaction with these services may influence their satisfaction, leading to lower working conditions. This study aimed to assess employee awareness and satisfaction with Hanjin social responsibility services in 2019. The research involved 11 employees (85) and 25 department managers from the Hanjin Subic Shipyard. The study used questionnaires to gather data on employees\u27 profiles and awareness of the company\u27s benefits. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistical tools and gathered through a pilot data-gathering process. The survey shows that all respondents benefit from the company\u27s annual physical examinations, which are both the company\u27s and employees\u27 responsibility. The services include free shuttles, food allowances, medical and dental assistance, housing, and educational assistance. Basic occupational safety and health training was taken by 41.82 percent of respondents. Management training and development was received by 0.91% of employees. Higher awareness contributes to employee satisfaction with Hanjin CSR services. Managing School Resources and Financial Competencies of Secondary School Administrators in the Delivery of Basic Education Services
Get PDFIn order to improve school performance, school leaders must be more effective and efficient in their administration, and their management skills must be enhanced. As a result, this study aimed to determine if there was a link between school administrators’ financial competencies in managing school resources and the financial management practices of the Schools Division of Quezon. The descriptive-correlational technique of research was used to conduct the study with 372 school administrators and teachers in the Division of Quezon to analyze the link between the independent and dependent variables. Descriptive and Inferential analyses were carried out using SPSS. The findings revealed that managing school resources was highly practiced by the respondents, such as record management, financial management, school facilities and equipment, staff management, and school safety for disasters. In terms of financial management, the respondents highly practiced budgeting, auditing, finance and resource management mobilization, financial reporting, and inventory management. On matters of school administrators’ financial management, the respondents were highly competent in the areas of securing financial resources, fiscal management, the use of technology in the management of operations, coordinating with others, and professionalism. Furthermore, the result confirmed the significant correlation between the financial management competencies of the school administrators in managing school resources and financial management practices. Also, there were single and combined related variables of financial management competencies that demonstrated significant effects and served as predictors for managing school resources and financial management. Annual orientation, seminars, and workshops for school administrators in SDO Quezon on financial management, technology, awareness, codes, facilities, and professional development improve performance. This study reviews BA literature and discusses the challenges faced by organizations in implementing business analytics, including data availability, quality, skills and training, and technology infrastructure considerations. We conducted a study on 133 analytics professionals in Lahore, Pakistan.
