Sugarcane Fertilization Innovation: Enhancing Productivity and Sustainability in the Philippines
Economically, the sugarcane industry is one of the major sources of dollar income in the Philippines. It is planted in different types of soil, environments, and cultural management. Sugarcane is a voracious eater of fertilizer. The main purpose of innovating the fertilization activities in the farm is to increase production in order to sustain the sugarcane industry. The study aims to measure the fertilization innovations practice by the farmers that could affect the production of the sugarcane crop in the Philippines. The descriptive method was employed in the study. The instrument used was the validated survey questionnaire used by the group of Oñal in their study in 2021. The 320 sugarcane farmers were randomly identified at the seven locations in the Visayas area of the Philippines. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) implied that there’s a significant difference in the production of sugarcane among the different locations in the Philippines. Furthermore, the frequency of applying the fertilizers, the correct placement of fertilizers, maximizing the application of N and K elements, and the combo application of organic-inorganic fertilizers implied a high production respectively. The correct placement of fertilizers and the application of organic-inorganic fertilizers were strongly correlated with sugarcane production but moderately correlated with the level of N and P elements applied. The study revealed that fertilization innovations had a significant relationship in increasing the productivity of the sugarcane crop in the Philippines
Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions – A Study of Filipino Canadians
Understanding Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions is the tool that this researcher used to examine the cultural differences between Philip-pines and Canada, as well as new emerging culture of the Filipino Ca-nadians as a sub-group of cultures. This research study examines the different cultural dimensions - Power Distance, Uncertainty Avoid-ance, Individualism / Collectivism, Masculinity / Femininity, and Short Term / Long Term Orientation to understand the factors affect-ing the underrepresentation of Filipino Canadian Engineers in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry in Canada. The respondents of this research study are internationally trained Filipino Canadian Engineers who are also members of the Associa-tion of Filipino Canadian Engineers (AFCE). The researcher used a combination of self-made Survey Questionnaires published on Google Forms and face-to-face interviews. The questionnaires were sent via email and/or social media platforms such as Messenger and LinkedIn. The data collected were tallied, analyzed, interpreted and summa-rized using statistical treatments such as Mean, Pearson r correlation, Standard Deviation and Frequency. The study revealed that Filipinos have assimilated well into the Canadian Society in terms of the Hof-stede’s Cultural Dimensions with the exemption of Collectivism. In terms of Power Distance, Filipino Canadians revealed a low score while in the Motivation towards Achievement and Success, Filipino Canadians prefer a more work-life balance, both comparable to Cana-dians. The study also revealed that many Filipino Canadian Engineers feel that they are underrepresented in the Engineering and Construc-tion industry in their new home, Canada. Filipinos should start con-versations on Diversity and Inclusion to mitigate this problem. These findings will help community leaders to develop courses and pro-grams that will help pave the way for Filipinos to effectively assimi-late to a diverse and inclusive Canadian society
An Analysis of the Definition of Smart City and its Critical Role in Future-Proofing Projects and Estate Development for the Philippine Construction Industry
Since the concept of smart city came into existence about a decade ago, it certainly has taken a different meaning from basic infra-structure management to integrating advanced technologies in the form of 5G, IoT, and AI. This paper investigates how the definition of smart cities is evolving, its relevance to the Philippine construc-tion industry, estate development, and how it navigates through the challenges and opportunities of integrating it into the society. The research utilized a meta-analysis research design of peer-reviewed journals, government reports, and other articles pub-lished from year 2000 to 2024. The result of the study showed that building or integrating a smart city is beneficial for a country expe-riencing rapid economic development. Nonetheless, the Philip-pines, even if it is considered as one of the fastest-urbanizing countries with visionary and competent infrastructure developers among the countries in Southeast Asia, the nation still faces signif-icant challenges such as outdated land planning, government frag-mentation, and inefficient resource management. The strategic and sufficient education about what a smart city is would lead to a high probability that concerned industries and institutions will find ways to integrate smart city principles in their school com-munities, which will help contribute to training and producing citi-zens who advocate for a country with smart city systems and technologies. This study emphasized the necessity of designing high quality educational initiatives, policy developments, and facil-itating public-private collaborations where it would promote sus-tainable urban development and eventual national growth in the Philippine’s construction industry
Enhancing Instruction In Electronics: A Whole-Brain Approach Utilizing Differentiated Activities
Enhancing teaching strategies in teaching electronics contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusive and effective learning. Additionally, Priority Area 15 of the EDCOM 2 Year 2 Report highlights the importance of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve engagement and academic per-formance in higher education. This study evaluates the effectiveness of differentiated activities grounded in the whole-brain approach in teaching 80 first-year Electronics Technology students at Valenzuela City Technological College, selected through purposive sampling. Mean, percentage, standard deviation, and t-tests for correlated and independent samples were used for statistical analysis. Findings indicate that prior to implementing differentiated activities, stu-dents exhibited moderate engagement when taught using conven-tional methods. However, engagement significantly increased after the introduction of differentiated activities grounded on the whole brain approach. Pre-test scores for both control and experimental groups did not exceed 50%, indicating low student engagement and academic performance. In contrast, post-test scores improved sig-nificantly, confirming the effectiveness of differentiated activities grounded on the whole brain approach in teaching electronics. De-spite the frequent use of differentiated strategies, instructors at Valenzuela City Technological College often overlook students\u27 pre-ferred learning styles, limiting the full potential of whole-brain in-struction. These findings emphasize the need for instructional ap-proaches tailored to diverse learning needs to maximize student engagement and academic success. In response, this study proposes a training plan for college instructors to enhance the application of differentiated activities grounded on the whole brain in teaching electronics education

Regional Disparities of Social and Demographic Indicators in Morocco: A Comparative Cartographic Analysis Between the 2014 and 2024 Censuses
This article aims to analyze the regional disparities of social and de-mographic indicators in Morocco by conducting a comparative carto-graphic study between the 2014 and 2024 censuses. Using data from the General Population and Housing Census (RGPH) and reports from the High Commission for Planning, combined with Geographic Infor-mation Systems (GIS), this research highlights significant spatial and temporal changes across various regions. Key indicators analyzed include population density, unemployment rates, urbanization levels, literacy rates, and economic activity. The results reveal stark regional disparities, with Casablanca-Settat and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima maintaining high population density and urbanization growth, while rural regions like Drâa-Tafilalet and Béni Mellal-Khénifra continue to face persistent challenges, such as high unemployment and illiteracy rates. Notably, the southern regions of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab have shown remarkable improvements in urbanization and economic activity due to targeted government-led development projects.Quantitatively, the study identifies a 5.4% national increase in ur-banization rates over the past decade, accompanied by a 7% reduc-tion in national illiteracy rates. However, unemployment remains a critical issue, with some regions experiencing only marginal im-provements. The ARIMA model projections indicate further urbaniza-tion by 2030, with potential risks of growing disparities if regional development policies are not effectively implemented. These findings underscore the urgent need for targeted policies aimed at promoting regional equity by investing in education, enhancing job opportuni-ties in rural areas, and fostering balanced urban growth. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating GIS-based spatial analysis into policy-making to ensure sustainable and inclusive development

Managing Group Conflict and Decision-Making Skills among School Administrators of Public Higher Education Institutions in Sulu
This descriptive-correlational study investigates the extent of conflict management and decision-making skills among public higher education institution administrators in Sulu for the Aca-demic Year 2022-2023. The respondents in this study are 200 fac-ulty members, with several statistical methods applied, including frequency counts, percentages, weighted means, standard devia-tions, t-tests for independent samples, One-way ANOVA, and Pear-son\u27s r.Most respondents were between 20 and 35 years old, female, married, and holding a master\u27s degree. Many faculty members reported having served from 1 to 15 years in their respective insti-tutions. In fact, the respondents agreed that the administrators were pretty successful in getting faculty involved in key decisions concerning the institutions. They also graded the administrators as vigilant and decisive when dealing with sensitive and critical matters.Interestingly, differences in ratings regarding the faculty\u27s evaluation of administrators\u27 skills for conflict management and decision-making by age, gender, civil status, educational attain-ment, and years of service do not indicate statistical significance. But those who have high grades of administrators for the man-agement of conflict also graded highly the ability to make deci-sions. This study supports Rahim\u27s (2002) proposition that suc-cessful conflict management is made of multiple strategies. Thus, those administrators who make effective decisions on handling conflicts would tend to be good decision-makers.Finally, it has underlined that to achieve better and sound deci-sion making as well as better management of the institutions in conflict management is needed to become good administrators. Therefore, good administrative leadership does not only work well to facilitate more effectiveness of its own work but also enables more harmony and effectiveness within a higher education public institution. More emphasis needs to be made upon their skill im-provement
